Juuzou
this is probably way off, but at my dad's i heard a small explosion sorta like a firecracker. at least i though it was a gunshot until i heard a scream, then a firecracker like sound that gave me that shook your ribs feeling. could it have been a gunshot? because the scream got cut off by the second sound as if blocking out the screams, or destroying what the sound came out of. im pretty scared right now, but i closed the window, so i wont get more scared. discuss inb4coolstorybroinb4coolstorybra

Dark
So was it a firecracker or a gunshot?
Felix Culpa
A typical rifle gunshot is very loud — in the region of 140 to 170 decibels while the threshold for pain is 130 db[1]. This can be lowered to around 115 db through the use of a suppressor and subsonic ammunition lrntowikibra

~/Coolio Prime\~
I usually hear gunshots at night, and it can really vary sound-wise from what I've heard. But what I have heard is way louder than it is in movies, where gunshots are relatively softened for your convenience I guess.
