This is really a souped up Magician's Spellbook in monster form. Still I like it, and the picture! 7/10

picture isn't fitting at all, doesnt really look like a monarch

it's effect is only a little like all the other monarchs

the thing about monarchs is that their only effects activate when they hit the field

and when they appear they greatly disadvantage your opponent (although kuraz is kind of an exception)

you cant give any level 6 2400/1000 ATK/DEF the name monarch and expect it to stick, you gotta make it just like the others but in it's own way

i agree with that in every respect.

i like the card but it's effect is off.. and possibly too op'ed anyways.

I thought it was well balanced until I read the last effect. You could just keep discarding cards to power up your monsters. Discarding 1 card will increase it's ATK up to 2900, which is quite alot for only 1 tribute. Perhaps lower it's base ATK to around 2000.

it's first effect could make this an excellent card anyways

although monarchs have notoriously bland effects
