Heroic Spirit [last update: 1/21 - Masters]

The Heroic Spirit architype itself is more or less Equip Spell- and Spellcaster-support. However, I try to make it so that each individual Heroic Spirit monster can work with deck different than the architect itself.

 

There are supportive cards going with each Heroic Spirit monster, thought not limited to them. My intention is rather to make cards with unique effects for general use rather than making them especially for the architype.

 

And yes...the pic and names are taken from the anime Fate/stay night (another reason why card effects are rather random)...but i really want to treat them as realistic card, not pop culture

Special Summon 1 "Heroic Spirit" monster from your Deck that has the same Attribute as a face-up Spellcaster-Type monster you control.

Activate only when you control a face-up Spellcaster-Type monster and pay 1000 Life Points. Select 1 of the following effects to activate:

- Special Summon 1 "Heroic Spirit" monster from your hand.

- Return 1 "Heroic Spirit" monster you control to your hand.

- 1 "Heroic Spirit" monster you control gains 1000 ATK and DEF until the End Phase.

Once per turn, you can increase this card's ATK by 500 until your next Standby Phase. Each time this card destroys a monster while its ATK is increased by this effect, it loses 500 ATK.

Once per turn, you can return this card to its owner's hand. You can activate this effect during either player's Main Phase.

If this card would be destroyed, you can destory 1 Equip Card equipped to this card instead.

Activate only from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard on the 7th turn after a "Heroic Spirit Emiya" you control has been Summoned. Twice per turn, a player that controls a face-up "Heroic Spirit Emiya" can equip 1 Equip Spell Card from either player's Graveyard to a monster they control. Destroy that Equip Spell Card during the End Phase. This effect can be activated during either player's turn. Destroy this card on the 7th turn after it has been activated.This card cannot be destroyed except by its own effect.

While this card is in face-up Attack Position, Normal Spell Cards Set on your side of the field have Spell Speed 2.

While this card is in face-up Defense Position, all Level 3 or lower monsters cannot attack or change Battle Positions (including Flip Summon), and all Level 6 or lower attacking monsters lose 300 ATK during the Damage Step.

Select 1 face-up monster you control. The selected monster's effect(s) are negated. During your End Phase, you can flip this card face-down if you control a face-up "Heroic Spirit Medusa".

He is the greatest hero in Greek Mythology, a status confirmed by his accomplishment of the Twelve Labours.

Put 12 counters on this card. If face-up "Heroic Spirit Heracles" on the field would be targeted by an effect or would be destroyed, remove 1 counter from this card and pay 1000 Life Points instead (this is not optional). When there is no counter on this card, destroy this card.

This card can attacks while in Defense Position. When this card battles, neither player can activate Spell, Trap Cards, or Monster Effects until the Damage Step.

During the End Phase of a turn that a card(s) from your hand or Deck to the Graveyard is sent to the Graveyard, draw 1 card.

Once per turn, you can send 1 Equip Spell Card from your Deck to the Graveyard to destroy 1 monster on the field. If you do not control a face-up "Heroic Spirit Gilgamesh", this effect is not applied.

true, but I think it is sufficient, as far as making it balanced and playable is concerned

you can see I am a fan of simple and straightforward effects @@"
