SHRINK!!

Recommended Posts

OHHHH, NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! your Jinzo just attacked my Hyrdogeddon!! If only I could use Traps I'd activate Sakuretsu armor, but no, it seems as though my dinosaur is destined for the grave... But wait, what's this I have face-down? SHRINK!!! So sorry Jinzo, it seems as though you're no longer powerful enough to take down my Hyrdogeddon! And wait a minute, because your jinzo was destroyed by my hydro... I get to summon ANOTHER ONE!!!!!!! Looks like I've got the advantage, too bad for you!!!

This is one of the many situations where Shrink completely owns the duel. I was looking around and found 2 wonderful articles on this beautiful card, take a look and post your opinion

Yep, it cuts the Attack of a monster in half like that! but the best part is, you can attack an opponents stronger monster, you're opponent will think you're crazy, but you don't activate Shrink until the Damage Step so your opponent can't counter with anything like Sakuretsu Armor or Mirror Force. But remember your opponent can still activate Sakuretsu armor when you declare the attack, but if your opponent doesn't activate anything until you enter the damage step, Shrink is Okay to use.

Thanks! In my opinion, Shrink is one of the best cards in the game right now. Besides the great effect of cutting a monsters attack in half, the fact that it can be used during the damage step, after missing your opponents chance to activate Sakuretsu or Mirror, is GREAT!!!!!!!!!

Also, it just occurred to me that this topic might be better suited for the TCG Topic, so if anyone wants to move it, it's okay with me.

I'd take the Shrink over the Dragon, unless your bro had a specific strategy that he was working on.

NEW IDEA!!!

Can anyone think of any other cards that are weaker but receive great effects when they do damage or destroy a monster. I've already posted that idea about Fenrir, but I wanna see what the good people of YCMaker can come up with!

I know an even eviler one, my friend pulled this on me. Ancient Gear Golem, Megamorph, Limeter Removal and Micro ray, he could have killed me with full life points, and I was about to play my ultra killer combo too T_T.

(This isn't the reason for my grudge on Ancient Gears, I just don't like machines)

  • 2 weeks later...

Wanted to rekindle the fire of this topic. I thought of some more monsters that can benefit from Shrink:

Airknight Parshath - DRAW CARDS!!!

Neo-Parshath, the Sky Paladin - DRAW MORE CARDS!!!

GoeGoe the Chivalrous Ninja - DISCARD YOUR OPPONENTS CARDS!!!

Mefist the Infernal General - DISCARD YOUR OPPONENT'S CARDS!!!

Brron, Mad King of the Dark World - GET OUT SOME DARKWORLD MONSTERS!!!

All of the Dark Scorpion cards - A VARIETY OF EFFECTS!!! LOOK EM UP!!!

Doom Dozer - ... although it's pretty strong on its own...

Hino-Kagu-tsuchi - DISCARD TONS OF CARDS!!!!!!!!!!!

Vampire Lord and Lady - DISCARD FROM OPPONENT'S DECK!!!!

Yamata Dragon - DRAW TONS OF CARDS!!!!!

Some E-Hero Fusions - A VARIETY OF EFFECTS!!! you probably already know them though...

Whew, that's tons of cards...

anyways...

Which one do you think is better

Shrink

OR

Rush Recklessly

THINK ABOUT IT FOR A SECOND!!!

Flame Wingman. Due to a loophole in his text, your opponent is actually inflicted with the full original attack of the monster.

So:

Mobius attacks Flame Wingman

Chain Shrink on Mobius

Mobius' attack is now 1200

Your opponent takes 900 damage from the battle.

Your opponent then takes 2400 damage from Wingmans' effect.

At least I think that's how it works.
