On Thursday 3 September at around 9.15pm

People In Ireland Co.Cork could see a something exploding in the air

then they saw a meteor falling at 100.000 Miler.

When it reached earth it was no bigger then a Tennis Ball.

Astronomy Ireland say they received reports of sightings in places like Clonakilty, Cork City and Youghal.

I heard that

who ever finds it gets

€500000.

Meteors are quite nifty to watch. Unless, y'know, they're big enough to destroy the world. Not long ago, I believe, one hit somewhere in Canada, destroying an area of land equal to a couple city blocks. Unpopulated, thankfully.

Also, 1 Euro is worth 1.4722 USD, so $736,100: http://www.google.com/finance?q=EURUSD

Of course, that number will likely keep on rising. =\
