Huntar!
And the other ancient Egyptian Gods. Along with Greek Gods and their Roman counterparts. I'm a history buff, and I always found ancient polytheistic religions interesting. Their religious stories sound alot like soap operas, ya know? lol Discuss. Felix
I never got Obelisk's name. An Obelisk is just a big pointy monument. I don't know weather or not it has an alternate name like Slifer's.
HORUS
Horus as in the guy Jesus is based off of? Win. And by the way, people, Slifer and Obelisk are not actual Egyptian gods.

Seeing as they could claim to have a god of anything and everything.

GraveHorizon
Ra is the Egyptian sun god, Osiris (no idea why the changed it to Slifer) was the god of the afterlife, and an obelisk according to Wikipedia, was a petrified ray of light that housed a god.http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/28/Louxor_obelisk_Paris_dsc00780.jpg

Guest JoshIcy
The Obelisk, is rather the protector of the other 2. Although, it seems like Slifer would be it. But then again.. Obelisk did appear first, possibly telling you they are to come. Whatever... Im more of a hieroglyph person than, about the gods. Also, the Egyptian society being a huge thing on the dead; may end up being something I emulate. To their respectful sense. OMGAKITTY
Slifer is actually the executive producer's last name. Thus the joke in TAS. Egyptian mythology is kinky as hell, with people jizzing in rivers and crap. Greek gods are fun, although they're kind of wimps. Norse mythology is the mythology of MEN. Felix Culpa
My favorite Greek God/Goddess is Aphrodite (in Roman, Venus). Goddess of beauty and rises from the foam of the sea.

~ P O L A R I S ~
Norse mythology is the mythology of MEN. Specifically because their Gods are but mere men, mere mortals, and're doomed by Ragnarok1945. Then again, aren't we all?

Davok
This thread lacks The Norse Gods. This. Norse mythology is the mythology of MEN. What Rinne said. If there was a cult today fueled purely by Badassitude, it would be a complete and shameless rip off of the Norse.

BehindTheMask
Odin can see into the future, because he sacrificed his eye for complete knowledge of runes, past present and future. He 'wrote' Odins Doom, a poem about Ragnarok. His spear can hit any target and will never break. He never eats anything, only drinks mead. He gives his food to his pet wolves. His Ravens, Memory and Thought, go and fly around the world gathering information about wars or peace and bring it back to Odin so he is up to date with the whole World.
