Goddess of beauty and rises from the foam of the sea.[/quote'] You know the original version of her born includes an epic battle between Zeus and his father? fenrir
This thread lacks The Norse Gods. Slifer is actually the executive producer's last name. Thus the joke in TAS. Egyptian mythology is kinky as hell' date=' with people jizzing in rivers and crap. Greek gods are fun, although they're kind of wimps. Norse mythology is the mythology of [b']MEN[/b]. This thread lacks The Norse Gods. This. Norse mythology is the mythology of MEN. What Rinne said. Dark
I knew what this thread was about beforehand as the YCMember is spelled HORUS, while the Egyptian God is spelled Horus. Deductive reasoning? No. I studied Ancient Egypt in... ninth grade. Trying to recall what happened 2 years ago. Something about the Nile.

In one story, it says that Aphrodite rose from the seafoam near (I tink it was Cyprus but I'm probably wrong.). In another it says that she sprang from Zeus's mind. Then in revenge for dreaming up such a beautiful women, Hera tried to get revenge by making an equally handsome man, but it came out being Hephaestus (Vulcan in Greek Mythology). But he was ugly and expelled from Olympia in disgrace. He then became a blacksmith and then was noticed by the gods and given a place in Olympia as the blacksmith to the gods. Felix Culpa
Greek mythology is always exciting, but these kidnaps of mortals and goddesses by gods to make their wives is always interesting. Hades kidnaps Persephone, Zeus kidnaps Europa along with many others. Zeus was known to have many affairs behind his wife's back, which is strange because Hera is the goddess of the happily married. This came from the assimilation of local gods to the myths creating many scenes like with Echo, the mountain nymph. Zeus was having an affair behind Hera's back so he got Echo, a mountain nymph who loved to talk, to distract Hera while he was gone. When Hera found out about this deceit, she took away Echo's voice, allowing her only to speak the last word that was said by someone else, thus creating the term 'echo' referring to the sound that is reflected. Also, Morpheus is my favorite god, though he and his family are my favorites in group. Hypnos, his father, was the God of dreams while Morpheus was the god of dreams. Hypnos's brother, Thanatos, was the god of death. These three formed the triangle of sleep. Sleep, dream, and complete sleep, death.
Lemniscate
I can't stand Greek, Roman, or Egyptian mythology, they're all too overplayed and boring.Instead, let's stick with one that would make the lovechild of Ted Nugent and Chuck Norris weep with love, Norse.Fenrisúlfr kicks ass, nuff said.
