@IKKI: OOC:

God Moding is' date=' for short, when a player does something she isn't allowed to do. This might include:

Controlling other player's characters, given that they don't have a permission.

[b']Controlling NPC's, characters normally controlled by the host.[/b]

Controlling battle, rendering yourself invulnerable and one-shotting all your opponents.

Have amazing luck.

Creating NPCs to improve your own character's strength.

I would like to point out that the bolded rules of GMing have been broken by you Ikki. "Logen" must go.

"Well of the latter, I have no idea what's up with him. But this note was left by the robber. I'm going to tail him, whether or not he likes it. The fact that he could get past us at night means we need to buck up guard here. Or better yet, leave this house," Marcus said, closing the book.

"Well, I saw an empty warehouse up on 5th Street that had some safety testing for cars. The cool stuff you see in the commercials to show the handling. The rising barriers and swinging blocks. It should be perfect for training. And there's a whole underground floor or two," Marcus explained. "This house is late on a few payments and is going to be forclosed soon anyway. Might as well abandon it."

Marcus got up, putting the book into a bag slung over his shoulder. "There's some useful information in there. It's pretty good for research on demonic species and subspecies, especially when trailing these criminals. The thief is a doppleganger like myself, because he can change form. It is only one of a few subspecies that can. Look under "homo sapien mutatio". There's a few listings under that that include the mandagot, the doppelganger, and some inpronouncable French vampire-hybrid."

Marcus kicked over a small tower of cards he constructed last night out of a Tarot deck. "Those cards don't really predict anything worthwhile. They were used in France to play a card game called Tarot and in Italy there was Tarrochini. They were only playing cards."

---

While Marcus packed, Virgil sat with the devious doppelganger, looking at him curiously. "So what have you to offer me, criminal?"

"Master, I am very skilled in the art of deception and thievery. I have procured a series of items from the house of a young demon named David, who seems to be taking an interest in this..." the thief said anxiously, eyes flitting around at the robed figures around Virgil.

"Well, this is interesting, because I happen to know someone by that name, who is also a demon," Virgil said, "Very interesting indeed."

Virgil stood, grabbing a rapier from his side. He put it to the criminals chin, tapping it to signal him up. "You are a good deceptor, but you have made yourself known to the enemy, who are a sly bunch of goodies, so you've led them hear in your ignorance."

"No, sir," the thief said, "I have covered my trail after I saw the bloodhound mandagot. I thought he must've been working with the David. And I thought I saw this David and another."

"So you've seen Marcus?" Virgil said. He put his rapier to the throat of the criminal. "Go. Don't come back here. You are unwanted."

Marcus was sitting patiently and the line was cut, so he placed his cell phone back in his pocket. "Unfortunately, that was probably an important call."

---

One of the robed figures, near the front, removed his hood, flicking some of his solid black hair out of his face. "Master, are you sure? He could have provided us with vital information for us."

"He had none, Cecil*" Virgil said annoyed, "You are the head of my guard and the most prized of the group, please do not spoil this with unknowing."

*(Side Note: Cecil is a guy.)

"I just said it's not safe hear! Put him in the back seat of my car!" Marcus said, "We've got to get to a hospital or something. He looks injured."

Marcus jumped into his car, quickly turning it on. He ran to the house, throwing the mandagot over one shoulder. He flung the body into the back seat. "Are you okay?"

Once David was in the car, he drove quickly off.

"I'm fine. But we need to worry about Drew right now." David replied.

"Wait...There is a note attached to his shirt. It says 'Dear friends of Drew. If you truly care about your friend, you will forget about him. He has been shot several times in the back of his head. Check if you do not believe me. Now, I will continue to harm friends and maybe even you if you do not leave the country by tomorrow. Signed, Nameless.' Whoa, that is some wicked stuff! I gotta really see if Drew was shot several times!!!"

David checked the back of Drew's head. As he was doing that, Drew's body started to glow and suddenly it vanished.

David was confused at first, but then realised that the person who shot Drew, shot the duplicate of Drew and told Marcus what he thought had just happened.

"Interesting. That would work." Marcus said. "Well we're at the warehouse now..."

Marcus drove into a small underground parking garage. "This is just a parking floor. The outer rim of the tunnel looks old to warn off people. I refurbished it myself."

Marcus drove into a small alcove. "The elevator just down this line take a right."

Marcus said, getting his bag from the back, "go down to B3. I've moved some stuff in one of the rooms there for you. I'll get down there in a minute."

Marcus soon caught up to David. "I think Drew's already here."

Marcus walked David down a hall, to a long room on the end. "The dimensions are 16x20. This is also your closet, so you should be doing fine. There are a few books in the back that I thought you would like to have a copy of."

Marcus ran across the room, pulling two out. "Here's Basic Demonic Origins by um - who was that author...? - and Mythical Beasts of the World. Both outline the origin and relation of demons to one another. You'd be surprised how close humans are in genetics to Doppelgangers."

Marcus left the room, a note on the door. "David, remember not to bring anyone here. This is a private place. I will occasionally bring people here, but remember to NEVER bring anyone here. Marcus"

Virgil and Cecil sat on opposite ends of a chess set. "Cecil, tell me. Why did you become a follower of me if we are equally able in mind and body?"

"You're tactics and charisma make you a better leader than I," Cecil said gravely, analyzing, "Anyways, the position of leadership is strenuous."

"Okay, thanks very much, Marcus!" David said.

David went back to the elevator and this time noticed the dead body.

"MARCUS! COME QUICK! I FOUND A DEAD BODY!" David screamed.

"We should dispose of it. Build a fire over there and don't worry about the body, I'll put it in. Just get the fire going," Marcus said.

Marcus was huddled over the body, looking at it strangely. Something familiar about the body. Well, first, I should run through the facts about this body before I judge if I know them. Let's see. Female, between the ages of 16 and 20. Interestingly fresh, considering the lack of decay. Could be...

Marcus froze midthought, looking at the hand of the body. A ring with a black gem, the gem having a red spiral going through it, was the most familiar thing about the body. He had given this ring to his friend, Amethyst, last year for her birthday, and she had worn it at the party just two days ago. Amethyst's.... dead?

He put his hand on the shoulder of the girl, the clothes being torn along the torso as if she had been attacked by some monster with claws. He got the information to transform into her, just in case it was needed. "She probably went out, looking for me after I left the party. She stumbled around for a bit, considering the amount of alcohol she consumed and then came into contact with one of the members of the Underground in their demon form, claws and all."

---

Virgil smiled. He was busy beating Cecil at chess when he got up, moving his queen. "Checkmate."

He stopped smiling and turned toward the opening doors, revealing a small figure, not a child by height, but feminine.

"That's strange. Who are you, midnight visitor?" Virgil asked, tensing to strike. "Answer."

"I am of no name, being given nnone, but I am of every name. I am a shapeshifter, drifting endlessly through the world."

"Wow." David said.

"Should we still dispose of the body, since this is one of your friends? Or should we bury it?" David asked.

David slowly walked over to the body, looking at her with confusion. Why had she come into the elevator? Was she put here? So many questions, so little time...

"I don't know. We should still dispose of it. I don't think it would be smart to bury her. Maybe we should report the body to the police, but then we'd be found out..." Marcus said. "Keep the body, seeing as it would arouse suspicion if..."

"Wait, I've got it. It might by risky, but it may work. I'm going to transform into Amethyst and strangle the dead body, from behind, but across the street and down a block, on top of the SanCo building. She would have done it, because she told me she had threatened to."

"Great idea! That might just work!" David said.

"Just one thing...what should I do? I don't really want to stay here alone, being 13. What if the guy comes here? I'll justs follow you, but stay hidden." David said.
