In this competition, before the start of each round, you will post that you want to compete (3 Stars+ Please). Once I have two combatants, I will announce the "Secret Ingredients" which will be 1-3 Cards. You must create a deck which includes these cards.

You will be judged on

Taste (how playable is the deck?)

/15

Plating (is the deck presented in a clear format, with a nice name, and appearance?)

/5

Originality & Use of the Secret ingredient (did you include 1 copy in a well known deck? = bad score. Did you make a new deck, borrowing old ideas to maximize the card's utility = good score)

/15

BTW make your deck look good for the plating judgment! Presentation is important!

IE a bad deck would look like this

blue eys white dragon 3

a good deck would look like this

x3 Blue-Eyes White Dragon

points will be deducted for sloppiness or abbreviations!

Here is my Entry

Deck Name:Frontier Army

Monsters: (20)

3| Frontier Wiseman

3| Mysterious Guard

3| Marauding Captian

2| D.D. Warrior Lady

2| Command Knight

1| Exiled Force

2| Comrade Swordsman of Landstar

2| Giant Rat

1| Sangan

1| Elemental Hero Wildheart

Spells: (17)

3| The A. Forces

2| The Warrior Returning ALive

1| Reinforcement of the Army

1| Heavy Storm

2| Shrink

2| Book of Moon

2| My Body as a Shield

1| Brain Control

1| Hidden Armory

1| United We Stand

1| Mage Power

Traps: (3)

3| Royal Decree

Extra Deck: (15)

2| Stardust Dragon

1| Black Rose Dragon

2| Colossal Fighter

1| Goyo Guardian

2| Gaia Knight, Force of Earth

1| Red Dragon Archfiend

1| Magical Android

1| X-Saber Urbellum

2| Power Tool Dragon

1| XX-Saber Gottoms

1| Chimeratech Fortress Dragon

Simple, yet effective, An Old-School Warrior Toolbox, with a twist, it's spell and Trap lineup are based mostly on defense. My Body as a Shield acts as protection against the Card's that Frontier Wiseman can't negate, Book of Moon stops Synchros, Shrinks help out the weaker warriors. Royal Decree is to stop ALL Traps so the protection is more solid.

As for the Monster Line-up I choose Elemental Hero Wildheart as a last ditch throw-in in case Royal decrees are all used up, or if I'm worried about the back-row. Comrade Swordsman of Landstar + Giant Rat gives the deck a Synchro Option (which is needed for this older but still fun deck-type)

Deck Name: Attack Failure!

-Monsters: 20-

[3] Marauding Captain

[3] Frontier Wiseman

[3] Mysterious Guard

[3] Giant Rat

[2] D.D. Warrior Lady

[2] Command Knight

[2] Rose, Warrior of Revenge

[1] Comrade Swordsman of Landstar

[1] Sangan

-Spells: 13-

[3] The A. Forces

[3] Book of Moon

[3] The Warrior Returning Alive

[1] Reinforcement of the Army

[1] Heavy Storm

[1] Giant Trunade

[1] Brain Control

-Traps: 7-

[3] Staunch Defender

[2] Bottomless Trap Hole

[1] Mirror Force

[1] Call of the Haunted

My deck has an interesting strategy, in controlling the opponent's attacks. By using Staunch Defender while Marauding Captain/Command Knight are on the field with at least 1 other monster, it stops the opponent from attacking at all. In other situations, it can force the opponent to attack a monster stronger then all of their own.

By the way, United We Stand is limited to 1.

...And, Soivant! It is, how you say, complete!

The Deck only known as...

Fresh Black Salad with a Pinch of Yubel Seasoning.

Or

Yubel's Black Garden

- - -Monster Cards (21) - - -

Armageddon Knight ~ x3

Mystic Tomato ~ x3

Samsara Lotus ~ x3

Yubel ~ x3

Dark Crusader ~ x2

Hedge Guard ~ x2

Regenerating Rose ~ x2

Dandylion ~ x1

Yubel - Terror Incarnate ~ x1

Yubel - The Ultimate Nightmare ~ x1

- - -Spell Cards (10) - - -

Black Garden ~ x3

Terraforming ~ x2

Allure of Darkness ~ x2

Foolish Burial ~ x2

Giant Trunade ~ x1

- - -Traps (9)- - -

Battle Mania ~ x2

Pollinosis ~ x2

Spirit Barrier ~ x2

Staunch Defender ~ x2

Wall of Thorns ~ x1
Yubel's Black Garden works off the final effect of Black Garden; By destroying it, you can Special Summon something from the grave with the same amount of Atk that the plant monsters you currently have do.

This works well with Yubel; After dropping her in the Grave with either Armageddon, Foolish or Dark Crusader, I can resurrect her immediately provided I offer A Samsara Lotus, Regenerating Rose, Hedge Guard or a Fluff Token, none of which are particularly hard to get out. After that, using Battle Mania or Staunch Defender guaranties Yubel to take some blows. Not only that, but the relative ease of summoning just about any monster I have, combined with Black Garden's effect of granting my opponent monsters, becomes a deadly combination.

Spirit Barrier, Pollinosis, and wall of thorns are all very useful cards that fulfill a variety of purposes in a deck of this sort. Spirit Barrier in particular grants me a particular advantage, as my side will be filled quite easily with monsters.

1| Gravity Bind
Use Defender/Shogun to stall while LvLimit is on the field. Burn with Solar Flare, Iniba, Sprite, Mushroom 2, and the various Burn spells/Trap. Use Solemn to counter anything that could harm the deck. Heavy is used to destroy any harmful Spells/Traps. Lightning is in as a precaution just in case I don't draw LvLimit. Tragedy is used with LvLimit. CotH is used to get something back that I need, like Sprite or Solar. UFO to search Sprite and Solar. Hope it's good. ^_^

I'dd like to submit this

Monsters:17

2xGuardian Sphinx

3xHorus LV6

3xRoyal Keeper

3xStealth Bird

3xDes Lacooda

3xThe Fool

Spells:12

3xVenom Swamp

3xTerraforming

3xBoM

2xE Con

1xPoA

Traps:11

3xReckless Greed

3xT Roar

3xBottomless

2xNeedle Ceiling

This deck's main goal is to get out Venom Swamp. Since all of your monsters are unaffected by Venom Swamp thanks to their effects, this strategy only hurts your opponent, and not you. Whenever Royal Kepper/Stealth Bird/Des Lacooda get Venom counters, you can flip them face down to get rid of their counters, and then reuse their effects. The other stuff is in there just for the backup.
