Strange school assignments.

Have you ever had a strange, weird, or funny school assignment that ended up humiliating you in some way? If so, do tell~ xD

 

[spoiler=Mine~]Recently, in World History, our teacher gave us a group assignment based on Greek Mythology. We were split into groups of four, and then left a week to;

 

1. Make a poster, describing who exactly your God is.

2. Make a miniature temple or shrine for your God.

3. Bring in 3 gifts that would please the God. (For instance, bringing Ares a weapon, or Poseidon a fishing pole.)

4. One of the members of the group must dress AS the God on the day of presentation.

 

I somehow convinced the group to do Nyx, because she's awesome.

Which I now regret, since I'm going to have to dress as her Tuesday. xD

 

Anyone ever have any problems similar to this? xD I kind of find it hilarious, myself.

No, not really, but for extra credit, I had to stand in Barnes and Nobles for an hour dressed as a statue of Hades.

Ha, that's an awesome assignment. We do quite a lot of hilarious / awesome acting in our drama lessons, like when my (male) friend was both my mother and my wife.

My final in Classical Lit class was to put on a play based on a scene from a book about King Arthur. I didn't read the book. One of the girls in my group did, and she wrote the entire script for us. I got to dress up in a wig and dress and play Guinevere. It was hot.

 

Also, for Comp/Lit class, we had to make a poster describing our "Utopia". My group based ours off of the Zerg Swarm >:3

In my English class, I was elected to get the class to act out a scene from some classical novel. If everything went well, I got 10 points (meaning a B+ to an A+) of extra credit and I could choose five people (out of about 20 others) to get 5 points.

 

We did act it out, but I was the only good actor in there, so I only got 5 points, and no one else got anything.

These people sucked at acting. I was the only good one.

It was a group assignment to choreograph a dance. Well, it turn out too hilarious, (like a Rated - M dance) and to our surprise, we won 2nd place. XD

Again, its an english class. As long as the other students accurately covered the required information, they should have gotten points.

Again, its an english class. As long as the other students accurately covered the required information, they should have gotten points.

 

This is true. But my teacher made it very clear that she didn't want sheet acting. And that's what she received (for the most part).

 

It was extra credit, and the five points I did receive only bumped me from an A- to an A.

It's not a stereotype, at least not in my school.

 

Maybe, in some random school across the US, cheerleaders are actually smart. But in my school, that is not, nor ever will be the case.
