Malice
**Co-owned by Succubus Queen** Plot Duel monsters, a popular trading card game, has taken on a new level of excitement since the arrival of 'duel spirits', and furthermore when these duel spirits managed to take on a physical form, and exist entirely in the human world. People still perform duels, with their monsters serving as deck masters, and effecting the games from the sidelines, although far crueler duelist have spun a sick twist into the game. They have discarded the cards, and instead are forcing monsters to fight one another, simply for sport. A far more disturbing fact is that a monster can destroy another monster, and absorb a little of it's power. Naturally, those corrupted souls hungry for power are eager to take advantage of this. The Greyrose Institute for Higher learning is a special training center that focuses on training both monster and human to be physically fit and to respect one another, in some hope that perhaps they can prevent unnecessary harm to duel monsters, most of which are completely loyal to their human counterpart. Unfortunately, a few bad seeds have scammed their way into the school, and intended to begin the process of weeding out the weaklings, and working themselves up to bigger prey. Introduction As always, a new year draws in new students. As the returning students expertly make their way to their assigned dorm rooms, the new students flutter about helplessly, some huddled together in small groups, while others choose to stand alone. A man steps forward, clad in the most formal attire he possessed, which happened to be an oddly colored suit and mismatched tie. He smiles kindly at the bunch, dark eyes scanning all of their faces as he approaches them. "Hello and welcome to my school," he says, bowing slightly in a show of respect, "My name is Darius Greyrose, and I run this school alongside my brother, Dante, whom is not present at the moment. You may call either of us by our first names," he assures, a hand running through his sandy hair. As he speaks, a Harpy Lady, affectionately named 'Queenie,' steps up behind him, her keen eyes focusing on the other duel monsters present in the crowd. She looks to her human with a sense of pride, before making her way towards the entrance of the large building behind them. "Welcome to the Greyrose Institute for Higher Learning," he continues, taking a few idle steps as he speak, he begins to gesture to a second, smaller, though equally grand, building, "These are the dormitories. As explained in each of your letters, you are all separated by class, which depends entirely on your partnering monster." He paces about, glancing briefly to the face of his watch, "The dining hall is in this building, for your convenience, as well as your rooms. There are six floors. One for each class. If you need a further explanation on your class, or a question of any nature, feel free to approach me, a secretary, or one of the returning students." He pauses, taking an instant to think, "Also, keep in mind that you will have a head of your class, whom is there to help you, no matter the nature of your problem." He beams a smile around at the first years, "And with that, I must bid you all good day! Feel free to explore, but I would suggest finding your rooms, and meeting your new room mates!" He chimes, before disappearing into the main building, just as his monster partner had. Information Post applications. Naturally, the RP takes place in past tense, I used present in the intro just for a change of pace. If you really want to play a 'head of floor' character, you must first mail me with an AWESOME application. Character's that are the heads of their floors get a room to themselves. Also looking for staff if anyone is interested in playing teachers. You can play two monster and human duos, but they must be of a different 'class' if you choose to do this. Which brings me to a very important point, what the classes are, and how they are divided. Profile Skeleton Name:Age:Appearance: Description or picture.Bio: Four lines at least.Status: First year, second year, third year, etc.Duel Monster: Duel Monster Nickname:Class: [align=center]Accepted Profiles Malice's Characters[spoiler=Riley Maria Hotchner]Age: 19Appearance: Image of Riley, drawn by me. Her hair is black, her eyes are green, and her boots are just as black as her hair. Additionally, she wears faded jeans, a grey undershirt, and a white tee, as seen in the image. Bio: Since a fairly young age, Riley had always been interested in the duel monsters games that the other children played, though her parents would not buy her any cards. She was thirteen when she bought her first pack, and the first card staring her in the face happened to be the Dark Magician of Chaos, which grew to be her favorite card in the game. When she hit fourteen, she took a summer job babysitting, and quickly saved up enough money to buy herself a great number of cards, which allowed her to build her deck, which focused around summoning her most prized card. By the time she was fifteen, she found her duel spirit, the Dark Magician of Chaos, whom admired her ability to quickly summon forth strong spellcasters in a duel. He then made her an offer. If she could beat him in a duel, then he would fight alongside her. Riley allowed him to construct a deck from her remaining cards, which were in great variety and was a rather easy task for him. Beating the teen was another thing, however. As fate would have it, Riley beat him using the Dark Magician of Chaos card, which he still finds to be rather amusing. Two years later, at seventeen, Riley entered her first year in the Greyrose Institute for Higher learning, and to date has become head of the Mystics, due to not only her skill, but also her knowledge of duel monsters, duel spirits, and the game itself.Status: Third year; head of The Mystics.Duel Monster: Dark Magician of Chaos.Duel Monster Nickname: N/AClass: Mystic [spoiler= Darius Mathias Greyrose] Age:31Appearance: A middle aged man with sandy brown hair, and dark chocolate eyes. He can frequently be seen in some oddly colored, though well pressed, suit and tie combo, usually involving crimson to some extent, and often sporting a white rose, which he tucks into the front pocket of his jacket, directly over his heart. He is somewhat short, but can always be found smiling.Bio: Darius was raised for the sole purpose of taking over the family business, which happened to be a boarding school. When he was a child, said school was established for those talented in the fields of music and the arts, and was in fact a very prestigious school. However, when his parents died, and he took over the establishment, it was not long before he changed the tone of things, and turned it into a school for duelists whom excelled in dueling. This, once more, changed when the duel spirits took on physical form, and brought a horde of problems with them. He is an easy going headmaster, that has a sort of 'kids will be kids' attitude about him that makes it somewhat easy for students to worm their way out of trouble.Status: HeadmasterDuel Monster: Harpy LadyDuel Monster Nickname: QueenieClass: N/A [spoiler= Dante Matthew Greyrose] Age:27Appearance: Dante does not dress as formally as his brother, and can often be found sporting torn jeans, a white tee shirt, and a black trench coat that has seen better days. Like his brother, he has sandy colored hair, however, Dante has the most piercing blue eyes. As for build, Dante is tall, though is also somewhat muscular and well built. More often then not, he has a grim, foreboding look about him, which is likely what drew his partner, Backlash, the Shadowstalker, to him.Bio: Dante, the youngest of the Greyrose brothers, and an accident to boot, was more or less the forgotten child. His parents concentrated solely on raising Darius, the planned child for which they had great aspirations. This lack of attention led Dante to become a bit of a wild child, which, more often then not, got him into trouble. He grew up as the 'bad boy' and remained as such all through his life. Even after his parents died, and he became co-owner of a boarding school, he still did not manage to grow up, or even gain a sense of responsibility. However, he does go out of his way to help whenever he can, even when he is the sterner of the two head masters.Status: Co-headmaster Duel Monster: SwordstalkerDuel Monster Nickname: Backlash.Class: N/A Dark Hero Flashman's Characters[spoiler=Jack Spades]Name: Jack SpadesAge: 18Appearance: Jack -minus the wing and sphere.-Bio: Jack is what everyone would call cocky. He is calm, over confident and extremely cunning. Orphaned from his family, due to an accident that claimed his mother, father, and younger brother, Jack has been pretty much on his own since he was 12. At age 13, he took up the game of Duel Monsters. It wasn't long before he met his partner, Black Luster Soldier. The two instantly had a bond, as do all duelists when meeting their destined spirits. At long last Jack had the family he so desperately wanted. Since that day, Jack and Luster Soldier have been inseparable, the soldier being almost like a second father to Jack. It wasn't long before he arrived at the institute, surpassing most of his class, except the class leader. In his second year, Jack hopes to pass the Leader and claim the title for himself.Status: Second YearDuel Monster: Black Luster SoldierDuel Monster Nickname: LustClass: The Primals Blazinghydra's Characters[spoiler=Velen Iris]Age: 23Appearance: Red-haired man with square, wire glasses with lime green lenses, complimenting his bright jade eyes. Has a permanently smug expression stuck on his face, which complimented with his habit of slouching while sitting down at an odd angle and standing up straight while talking, gives him the impression of someone high in standing and importance. His face is somewhat cone-shaped, with a jutting chin and long face with small eyes that seem perpetually stuck in a look of disappointment. He stands at a rather lengthy 6'5", which further intimidates those he stands against. His muscle structure is lean but somewhat athletic, giving him the impression of someone who swims or runs a lot. His legs are stretchier than his arms, which sometimes makes him look a little off-balance and cock-legged, for which he generally remedies by sitting at odd angles or standing in place with one foot slightly higher than the other. This habit also gives him the appearance of someone standing higher than someone else, as if they were superior and wanted center-stage.While Velen always wears his green-tinted glasses (They're mirrored, and clear on the other side; they're prescription.), you can always tell when he's looking at you, and what his emotion is; generally either annoyed or disinterested. His hair is bright red and slicked downward, with slight, large spikes that bend near the crown of his head, bringing attention towards his face. The length of his hair goes slightly below his neckline. For clothing, Velen generally wears a red, long-tailed coat that is about a step away from being trench. It appears made of velvet, and has several pockets on the inside for various objects. He wears a green T-shirt beneath this one, with a black design of an Oni dominating the picture, occasionally wearing a white vest over that if it is too warm for his jacket. His pants are black silk, and look fairly expensive.Bio: Velen had an interesting childhood, being the son of a very wealthy overseas buisnessman and a female doctor, and neither had much time for him. Raised mostly by his various tutors growing up, Velen ended up with stunted emotional growth and exceptional intellectual growth. Possibly what could be called 'trivia smart', at the age of 15, Velen could answer the questions on any given game show constantly and correctly. At the age of 17, Velen was capable of advanced algebraic therums and understood the leading concepts in Stem Cell research, even finishing his own paper on the subject at some point and having it published in a leading medical journal.Despite his advanced intellect, however, Velen was bored. He had several friends growing up, but grew disinterested in all of them quickly. The other children with similar childhoods and educations to him were boring and never did anything particularly worthy of note, while the average children were simply too stupid to comprehend what he considered enjoyable. For several years, he was stuck in a rut of what to do, until he decided to take up the hobby of Duel Monsters. Though discouraged by his parents, he quickly took to the intelligent hobby, making a name for him on the regional circuits fairly quickly.Velen came into contact with Ren completely by luck. The Shutendoji had wandered too close to the security fences surrounding his property, and had been trapped by them, and momentarily slowed. Though the Oni could easily break through any of the defenses, Velen distracted him with a game of Riddles (as Velen had remembered that red-colored Oni cannot durn down a challenge). While distracted by a particularly perplexing riddle, Velen managed to tie the Oni down and poison it with Holy Water from the nearby Churchyard. Spitting hateful comments at Velen, the youth decided to spare the Zombie-creature's non-life if it would agree to serve him, from whence Ren reluctantly agreed.Surprisingly, over the years, Velen and Ren became oddly close. For a Red Oni, Ren was surprisingly intelligent and interesting, with a system of honor and fair play that was both alien and interesting to humankind on a whole. As the years passed, Velen accepted a student position at the Greynose Institution with Ren, obviously as his Duel Spirit. Finding the classes both mentally taxing and interesting, he is finally content with his position, and aims to further examine the existence of Duel Spirits and the bond that they share with regular humans. Recently, he was promoted to head of the Futures Class.Status: Third Year, Head of The Futures.Duel Monster: ShutendojiDuel Monster Nickname: RenClass: The Futures Shadowferret's Characters[spoiler=Luis Solez]Age: 18Appearance: Stands at about 5'11". Malice
(Annnnd, so it begins. :3) Once more, the doors of the Greyrose Institute for Higher Learning had opened it's doors to those select youths that received an invitation. Truly, it was a hands on teaching facility, as the head master and second in command had delivered these invitations in person, traveling the world to securely place each invitation in the hands of it's rightful owner. It was to be a good year, and hopefully, it would run rather smoothly. Currently, the students were divided up as they pleased. Some had chosen to seek out their rooms, while others simply wandered the floors of the dormitories, wondering if any one room was better then the other. At the beginning of each hall there happened to be such a room, with a name clearly signed to it, as well as a title. This is where the head of the floor lived. However, not all of the students had chosen to explore that particular building. Others had made their way into the main building, and were poking around in the various classrooms and laboratories. The school offered a great variety of things, though they all related to duel monsters in some way. Behind this main building was a training field, perhaps the most important area of the whole school grounds. This was where the most important lessons would be learned. This is where everyone would have their true chance to shine. Finally, those remaining students that had just arrived were milling about in the front yard. Those returning students knew their way about, but the first years, for the most part, were lost, and perhaps afraid. Several had seated themselves along the rim of the mighty, ivory fountain, while others roamed near the gates that surrounded the school, thinking they were prison like. While the general hustle and bustle of luggage and people continued, two returnign students, a teen female and her monster friend, stood on the mighty front steps, over looking the crowd and prepared to offer help or directions as needed. This was her duty for the day. There was a long silence between the duo, in which they simply over looked the front yard, keen eyes ever watchful for signs of distress. Finally, one of them spoke up. "Another year has begun already," the Dark Magician of Chaos pointed out as he stood alongside his human partner. He glanced to her, or rather down at her, gauging her reaction to the statement. In their time together, he had learned to read her mood and thoughts simply by the look in her eyes. "Our final year." She responded, slowly crossing her arms over her chest as she looked to all the new faces, among which she spotted a few that she recognized. "Hard to believe that we've already been here for two years," she absently remarked, giving her head a slight toss to flick her short hair from her eyes. "Mmhm. Two years and counting, which makes me wonder... What's next for us?" He questioned, twirling his staff idly in his hand, he began to walk as he spoke, taking slow steps forwards and down the few stairs near the entrance. She gave a soft chuckle, stepping carefully after her friend, "Who knows. We'll just have to see where everything takes us," she pointed out, idly stalking after the lanky man that lead her into the herd of other students. After a quick round, in which they circled the front yard, the two returned to their place on the front steps, continuously overlooking the crowd. "Well, is there anything you would like to do, Riley? he asked, to continue the conversation that had started moments ago. He slowly grasped in staff in both hands, leaning his weight lightly into it in an absent fashion. Clearly, he was bored. "Not particularly..." She murmured in response, giving her shoulders a soft shrug. A frown flickered over her lips for a brief moment, until she finally turned to him again, "Lets worry about that when the time comes, right now we have things to do," she pointed out. shadowferret
"Man, I thought I was done with school once I graduated High School..."The young man walked through the field nonchalantly, taking in his new surroundings detail by detail. Luis Solez let a huge grin spread across his face as he recognized the stances of each and every student there. They had the look of a duelist about them. This was a haven for avid duelists like him. He loved the game, and he longed to duel as many people as possible. A small shudder coursed through his body as he imagined playing each and every one of these other students. "Poquito, what do you think of the competition?"The brown furball bounced up and down next to his head, seeming just as pumped for a fight as Luis was. Kuriboh had a look of excitement on his face. The pair strolled through the courtyard, looking at every other duelist in the area. He liked to play a game when in places like this. Just by looking at a duelist, you could kind of tell what kind of Duelist they were. It could even be guessed what kind of deck they used. One look, and he saw a guy who looked like he would use a Warrior deck. A girl who looked like she preferred Spellcasters. One girl even looked like she favoured the Gladiator Beast archetype. Luis began wondering, could people tell by his appearance what kind of deck he used? Then again, he had no idea what others perceived him as. Maybe a duel would help straighten out his mind. Then again, it could maybe just serve to further confuse him. Only time and chance would tell.
Naimo
Dolly had immediately seeked the darkness of her room. Aaaah motherly darkness, how she missed it. As she bolted her door shut, she turned to the window and immediately uttered a groan; her room wouldnt be so idealically dark. "Stupid room arrangements," she cursed through pouted lips. Em-Em looked thoughtfully at the window while the puppets he was in control of danced. "You can always make it darker." However this was instantly defied as Dolly waved the purposely-thin curtains. Em-Em sniffed slightly. "Or perhaps not."

"Looks like stiff competition this year huh Lust?" He looked over at armored man holding his sword on his shoulder, shield in his other hand. "Looks may be wrong Jack, It would be wise not to underestimate anyone here." Jack smiled alittle. "You worry too much Lust. With you by my side, I know we can beat almost everyone." The Luster Soldier laughed. "Thats what you said last time we went up against the head of the class Jack." Jack's face turned beat red.
