Attacking in defence!?!

My opponent threatens me that he can attack me directly with Cyber tutu...in defense! I say you can't attack in defense position and only Total Defense Shogun can do that. And he quits the duel. Threatens me with a cotton swab and leaves. (upset ofcourse.) Am I wrong that only TDS can attack in defense and not Cyber Tutu? Her effect though...I had Gene-wolf. So what happens?

it says so in their effect. If it doesn't they can't.

It cannot attack while in defense position. It isn't written on the card.

obviously it cant. it has to be in attack position to attack. nowhere on the card does it say it can defy the rule as Total Defense says.
