Dr. Cakey
These are some cards I threw together that improve the Sea Serpent Type. A lot of it is based on getting strong Sea Serpents out as quickly as possible, and combos very well with "A Legendary Ocean". USE: This monster has the highest ATK for a Level 7 monster. "A Legendary Ocean" drops it to 6, meaning it can be summoned with 1 Tribute. LORE: Once per turn, you can flip this card into face-down Defense Position. When this card is Flip Summoned, you can Special Summon 1 Sea Serpent-Type monster from your hand or Graveyard. USE: Twist on the theme of the Type Summoners. Also is Level 5, so can be summoned with no Tribute if "A Legendary Ocean" is out. USE: Strongest monster in the game without special summon and/or attack conditions. LORE: Activate only while you control a Level 5 or higher Sea Serpent-Type monster. Apply the appropriate effect based on that monster's Level.* Level 5 or 6: Destroy 1 monster your opponent controls.* Level 7 or higher: Destroy 2 monsters your opponent controls. Then, if "Umi" is on the field, you can return 1 card on the field to the owner's hand. USE: Symbolizes the blind destructive power of a sea serpent. Can be hampered by "A Legendary Ocean", however. LORE: Once per turn, when a Sea Serpent-Type monster you control inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent, you can Special Summon 1 Sea Serpent-Type Normal Monster from your hand with an equal or lower Level. USE: Helps get Sea Serpents onto the field. The Normal Monsters I've added in this topic make this card pretty useful. LORE: Activate only while "A Legendary Ocean" is on the field. If "A Legendary Ocean" is not on the field, destroy this card. Level 4 or higher Sea Serpent-Type monsters you control cannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects that would destroy a monster(s) on the field. USE: This card symbolizes the seeming invincibility of the legendary sea serpent. It defends your Sea Serpents from a number of destructive cards. It does leave a lot of holes open, but that's what Counter Traps are for. So, what does people think?
ragnarok1945
Leviathan has WAY too much atk power for a mere vanilla. It definately need specific summoning requirement right away Shining Sea Snake's effect is balanced out, but 2700 def is too much for lv5. Make it lv7 instead, in which case its effect will be too dull so you'll need another one 8/
Vailan
I used the first three pics for some Sea Serpent cards as well ;). 3500 ATK and Vanilla is OP'd, as Ragnarok said.Others look ok. 8/
Dr. Cakey
I used the first three pics for some Sea Serpent cards as well ;). 3500 ATK and Vanilla is OP'd' date=' as Ragnarok said.Others look ok. 8/10[/quote']Currently, the strongest monster without special attack or summon conditions is Super Conductor Tyranno, which has 3300 ATK and 1400 DEF. Also, it can Tribute a monster once per turn to inflict 1000 damage (but it can't attack the same turn).Leviathan gains 200 ATK, loses 400 DEF, and sheds its effect. Additionally, it's a Sea Serpent, probably the only Type less supported than Dinosaurs.I may lower it to 3400, though. Shining Sea Snake's effect is balanced out, but 2700 def is too much for lv5. Make it lv7 instead, in which case its effect will be too dull so you'll need another oneI would like to cite Labyrinth Wall, a Level 5 monster with 3000 DEF. Granted it also has 0 ATK and no effect. Although, I could have sworn I'd made Shining Sea Snake have 2[i[6[/i]00 DEF... Anyway, thanks for the comments, and I'll update soon.Any opinion on the support cards? Rains The Down
If you ask me "Leviathen, Emperpor of All Oceans" should be 9 stars so it would take 3 tributes(2 if "A Legendary Ocean" is of the field). If you ask me "Shining Sea Snake" should be 6 stars, cause " Neo Aqua Madoor" is a nomal with 1200 ATK and 3000 DEF that has 6 stars, so that way i see it seince "Shining Sea Snake" has 1200 ATK and 2700 DEF, but has an effect, so it should also be 6 stars. In most cases, having a Level of 5 or 6 doesn't have much bearing on how strong the monster is: Summoned Skull is 2500/1200 and is Level 6, while Cyber-Tech Alligator is 2500/1600 and is Level 5 is one example. Normally I would make a monster with stats like those of Shining Sea Snake a Level 6, but it's specifically designed to take advantage of "A Legendary Ocean". If it was Level 6, "A Legendary Ocean" would change its Level to 5, which would do nothing to the number of needed Tributes. Everyone should keep in mind that Sea Serpents are quite literally the smallest and least-supported type in the game. PS: Whenever someone accuses a card of being over-powered, they should immediately think of Judgment Dragon and compare the card in question to it. Attack strength means very little. Depending on how powerful your monster is will reflect its stars. If you have a pathetically weak monster with or without a decent effect, it's likely to be 1-3 stars. If you have a balanced monster (Balanced between ATK and DEF) with or without an effect, it's likely to be 3-4. A stronger monster however, or one with a much better effect, will result in it being 5-6. Remember that 5-6 Leveled monsters need 1 Tribute, 7-8 need 2 Tributes, and anything above requires 3. Make sure you analyze your card carefully in order to appropriately Level your monster."

Rulebook (ver. 7.0)"However, for monsters Level 5 or higher, you must Tribute at least 1 monster you control before the Normal Summon. This is called a Tribute Summon. Monsters that are Level 5 or 6 require 1 Tribute and Monsters that are level 7 or higher require 2 Tributes." There are only a handful of Level 9+ that don't have special summon conditions. The only ones I can think of off the top of my head are Infernal Flame Emperor (Lv. 9), Tragoedia (Lv. 10), and Yubel (Lv. 10). Also Ultimate Obedient Fiend (Lv. 9), but it has an attack condition. how long did you spend on them like 5 minutes WinkNo, but I thought of them, designed them, and posted them all in the same day.
