Max Darkness
[spoiler=]Agartha may have perished before the new millennium, but the same can not be said of its people. Some left the dying city and integrated themselves into human society, keeping their powers hidden. But they could only hide for a limited amount of time. They let their powers out in the form of an occult card game. Known as the Tarot, it was originally practiced only by the Agarthans to predict their future now they were disconnected from their city.Once humanity destroyed itself in the 3100s, these cards were feared lost, like most of humanity's achievements. However, they were found in DarkCity by an alien expedition and re-activated. Thus, the influence of Agartha is still felt today, across the stars. [spoiler=Monster Cards] Effect: When this card is Summoned, discard 1 card you control. During each of your Draw Phases, gain Life Points equal to the number of cards you control x 100. Once per turn, you can skip your Battle Phase. If you do, your opponent skips their next Battle Phase. When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, add 1 "Tarot" monster to your hand from your Graveyard, except "Tarot: The Angel". Effect: This card is also treated as a DARK monster. When this card destroys a monster and sends it to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon 1 "Tarot" monster in your Graveyard to your side of the field in face-up Attack Position. Monsters Summoned by this card's effect have their Attribute changed to DARK. When this card is removed from the field, all monsters Summoned by this card's effect lose 1500 ATK. If any monster's ATK is reduced to 0 by this effect, it is destroyed. Effect: Once per turn, during your Main Phase 1, you can discard any number of cards from your hand to draw an equal number of cards from your Deck. Once per turn, during your End Phase, you can return 1 Spell or Trap Card you control to your hand to return 1 Spell or Trap Card your opponent controls to their hand. Effect: If this is the only Monster Card in your hand, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. If you activate this effect, this card is returned to your hand during your End Phase. This card is also treated as a LIGHT monster. Once per turn, you can pay 500 Life Points to destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card your opponent controls. If no Spell or Trap Card on your opponent's side of the field is in the same column as this card, it can attack your opponent directly. When this card is destroyed, pay Life Points equal to this card's original ATK. Effect: When this card is Summoned, add 1 "Tarot: Pentagram" to your hand. When this card destroys a monster by battle, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the destroyed monster's Level x 100. When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, add 1 "Tarot" monster to your hand from your Deck, except "Tarot: The Demon". Effect: This card is also treated as a DARK monster. When this card destroys a monster by battle, this card gains 150 ATK. When this card is destroyed, select 1 "Tarot" monster you control. Equip this card to the selected monster. While equipped to a monster by this card's effect, if the equipped monster would be destroyed by a card effect, remove this card from play instead. Effect: This card can only be Normal Summoned or Set by Tributing 1 Level 5 or higher "Tarot" monster. This card is not treated as a DARK Warrior-Type monster while it is face-up on the field. Once per turn, during your Draw Phase, select 1 card in your Graveyard. If the selected card is a Monster Card, this card's name is treated as that monster's name, and it gains that monster's effect(s) and ATK, until the End Phase. If the selected card is a Spell or Trap Card, this card's name is treated as that card's name, and it gains that card's effect(s), until the End Phase. Effect: Once per turn, if you control this monster on the field, you can equip it to a face-up non-"Tarot" monster your opponent controls as an Equip Card, OR unequip it and Special Summon it in face-up Attack Position. When equipped to a monster by this card's effect, that monster cannot declare an attack, except it that monster's controller pays Life Points equal to the equipped monster's original ATK. (1 monster can only be equipped with 1 Union Monster at a time. If the equipped monster would be destroyed, this card is destroyed instead.) Effect: When this card is Summoned, you can remove 2 "Tarot" monsters in your Graveyard from play to Special Summon 2 "Tarot Token" cards (Fiend-Type/DARK/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0). When a "Tarot Token" is destroyed, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the Level of the attacking monster x 100. Effect: When this card inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent, select 1 card in your opponent's hand and discard it. When this card is destroyed, both players draw a number of cards equal to the number of cards discarded by this card's effect. Effect: When this card is Summoned, all monsters your opponent controls whose ATK is equal to or lower than this card's ATK are switched to face-up Defense Position. (Flip effects are not activated.) Once per turn, during your opponent's Main Phase 1, you can discard 2 cards from your hand to select 1 Level 8 or lower monster your opponent controls. The selected monster cannot declare an attack during your opponent's Battle Phase. Effect: This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by Tributing 1 "Tarot" monster you control. This card gains 200 ATK and DEF for each "Tarot" monster you control. When this card destroys a monster by battle, add 1 "Tarot" monster in your Graveyard to your Deck. When this card is destroyed by battle, it is returned to your Deck instead. [spoiler=Spell Cards] Effect: Both players select up to 5 cards from the top of their Decks and place them face-down on this card. During the turn player's End Phase, the turn player can select any number of the face-down cards and add them to their Deck. If they do, they pay Life Points equal to the number of added cards x 1000. During your third End Phase after this card was activated, both players lose Life Points equal to the number of cards still on this card x 500. This card and the remaining cards are then removed from play. If this card is removed from the field before your third End Phase, the cards on this card are removed from play. Effect: Activate only when you control 1 or more "Tarot" monsters. Once per turn, during your Standby Phase, toss a coin and call it. If you call it right, put 1 Destiny Counter on this card (Max. 5). If you call it wrong, put 1 Fate Counter on this card (Max. 5). When this card is removed from the field, remove all counters from this card. Remove a number of cards your opponent controls from play equal to the number of removed Destiny Counters, until the third End Phase after this effect was activated. Remove a number of cards you control from play equal to the number of removed Fate Counters, until the third End Phase after this effect was activated. Lord Ursus
These cards are very very interesting. But I discovered 2 things you might want to change: 1: This is not Tarot, as it does not use the names of the Tarot cards, the Arcana Force set has allready used that, as you are so perfectly well aware of, and so, making another set with Tarot as its theme is sadly unoriginal. 2: These cards just seems to have a completely random array of effects, and about 0 things in common, other than their names. They do support each other, I can clearly see that, but give them a unique niche to work with. Here, based on your first card, I would suggest a stall set with high speed. I can give you OCG fixes if you want, as you have some OCG errors, but I'm rather tired for the moment, so I don't think I'll manage it, at least not for the time being. But there is one thing that cannot be denied, you have still got it, and the pleasure you put into your cards is something I respect. Keep up the good work. G. This set is based on a less popular eastern tarot deck that includes monsters from classical Chinese and Japanese mythology and culture (hence the Dragon and the Samurai). 2: These cards just seems to have a completely random array of effects' date=' and about 0 things in common, other than their names.
