People just can't seem to get it around their heads that evolution is a FACT. It is scientifically proven, and it can be tested. But when they hear that there's a "Theory of Evolution", they take that to mean that evolution hasn't been proven. When I try to explain to them that a theory in science is different from a theory in everyday life, they just ignore me. Listen up, bozos, a theory in science is an explanation, a "why", if you will. The Theory of Evolution explains why and how evolution the scientific fact works. It is not claiming that evolution is not a scientific fact. They also stated that it would require that companies break their contracts with their CEOs, which is illegal.Both of these are inherently false.For the first, it is not the punishment for a crime, but merely control over the appropriation of government funds within a private entity, for which there is already a precedent, seen by control of appropriations from federal grants.For the second, the definition of a bonus is a payment that is not specifically enumerated within an individual's contract, so limiting bonuses would not require the breaking of contracts, as the only thing being limited does not exist in contracts, by definition.No matter how many times I said either of these points, they continued to repeat that the Bill violated the Constitution.I was so pissed at the end of the debate.
