I don't need research as I've had this battle before, in game LV100 Dragonite vs LV100 Salamence Salamence has high Attack and HP, but lacks Special Attack when compared to Dragonite who has high Special Attack and Speed. Most Dragon-Type attacks need Special Attack and since Dragons are weak against Dragon-Type attacks Dragonite beats Salamence with raw power and speed. Sploda Posted July 21, 2010 Report Share Posted July 21, 2010 You have to factor in Personalities, most of the ones Dragonite gets boost SpA also with a higher SpD he takes less damage than Salamence, still moves faster, and takes less damage in general.
