Light
Scientists say we only use 5 % of our brain. What could we do if could use 100%? Discuss.

~/Coolio Prime\~
We would die from a lack of ability to preform involuntary actions and the such if we replaced the other 95% of our brain's functions with memory, I'd assume.

Mindscatter
We'd be able to live forever if we used all our brain power.Actually' date=' our body would consume much more energy so we would age faster.lolwut. We use 100% of our brains. Only 5% of it goes into memory.No. This is what actually happens: We use most of our brain, but not all of it at the same time. In any given moment, we use 5% of our brain, so we have a 5% efficiency (lame). We would die from a lack of ability to preform involuntary actions and the such if we replaced the other 95% of our brain's functions with memory' date=' I'd assume.[/quote'] Many involuntary actions are directed by the spinal cord. Anyway, it is scientifically proven that people can think about a single thing (voluntarily) in any given moment. So, If we would use all our brain, we could think (voluntarily) of more things at the same time. You can blink voluntarily. You can breathe voluntarily. It is just hard. Mindscatter
I'm pretty sure that's 10%' date=' actually.[/quote']It depends, actually. Not every one is the same. Yes, the medulla oblongata does all kinds of stuff, but I was talking about the Conditioned Reflexes, that are all stored on the Cortex. Again, thanks for calling me a cretin, you mean member. BTW I do not understand the bolded. What did you want to say?
~/Coolio Prime\~
Don't take it seriously if I call you a disrespectful cretin. :s And I meant that memory of something doesn't efficiently bring that idea to fruition. Therefore you can't think of something and do it if that function itself has been replaced with memory.
Mindscatter
Yet, the body has reflexes that can be both conditioned and simple: breathing, blinking, pupil dilatation, swallowing...ok ok there are not that many but there ARE some...
