Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's: Symphony of the Lost City [Basic][Started]

I posted this RP long ago, but it died so I'm trying to do it again =]

 

Timeline:

 

3,000 B.C

The battle between the Crimson Dragon's Servants and the Earthbound Immortals comes to an end, and the Immortals is sealed in the Nazca Lines. At the same time, in India, the power of the battle awakens three gods: Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. Brahma, the creator, gave life to the uninhabited lands of India and the lands around it, and gave them forests, plains, animals and people. Vishnu, the protector, was asigned to guard the lands from evil and destruction, and last but not least, Shiva, the god of war and destruction, gave the people weapons and strength to fight back their enemies. These three gods gave their power to a respective Demigod, or Avatar. The Avatars lived in the mythical city of Shambhal, where they lived in peace and helped the Shambhalans to go through their daily lives.

 

1946 A.D

An expedition finds the city of Shambhal, and also the great treasure hidden within it's gates. The people of Shambhal had lived there ever since the three gods arrived, and they've never met any outsiders. The descendents of the three Avatars banishes outsiders from Shambhal forever, and seals the gates to the city by the power of Vishnu.

 

1 Year Ago

A plauge kills of all of Shambhal's inhabitants, except the three descendents of the Avatars. The Avatars of Brahma and Shiva comes up with the idea to destroy the world to rebuild it with Brahma's powers, but to do that they must first destroy the old one. However, Vishnu's Avatar, who's mission was to defend the world from destruction and darkness, makes an uproar and is bannished from Shambhal. He takes refugee in the Japanese city of Neo Domino City, where he hopes to find allies in the battle against the two other Avatars. However, the two other Avatars has also traveled to Neo Domino City searching for minions, and to destroy the world!

 

Present Day

Tickets to the 27th Fortune Cup is hidden in Duel Monsters Booster Packs that was sent out all over Neo Domino City. A few chosen duelists who get's the tickets out of the boosters will be taken to attend at the Cup and will be able to win the title as Duel King. However, there's something evil going on...

Hair: Short, unorganised, dark brown hair sits atop his head. His hair seem to grow up instead of down, so instead of growing to shoulder lenght it just gets bigger and bigger.

Eyes: Dark-Brown

Clothings: A dark-blue leather jacket thrown around a scruffy t-shirt with a large brown paw-print in the middle. His duel disk is worn on his left arm and looks brand-new. He spent nearly all his money on the latest model. His D-Wheel is painted with fire and lightning bolts. He coats it a different colour every to make it seems as if it keeps getting a new one, when in fact he can't afford it.

Personality: Rash and hard-headed. Rushes into battle head first on instinct. A act first think later kind of guy. Easily angered and not above punching someone who crosses the line. Despite this he loves a good joke and can take an insult if he believes it to be funny.

Deck Type: A gladiator beast deck is his faveourite kind to use but he also runs a mix-match deck made up of cards that resemble dogs.

Eyes: A weird blue, with a yellow ring around the pupil.

Clothings: Typically a classic rock band tee-shirt (Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Elvis Presley, Guns 'N Roses, and, last but not least, The Kinks), or a sports jersey (Mets, Broncos, or Flyers; with Frankie Rodriguez or Mike Piazza for the Mets, John Elway or Terrell Davis for the Broncos, or Simon Gagne for the Flyers), and, if it's cold out, an unzipped, brown leather jacket. Always wears plain blue jeans, with no belt, an oldie but goodie KaibaCorp Battle City Duel Disk, and a modified, 60's era VW Van, which has a huge Duel Screen in the back, with auto-pilot (though it's usually just driven by my friend Joey), which serves as a D-Wheel.

Personality: He's considered quite intelligent by those close to him, though he rarely (if ever) takes anything outside of the political realm seriously. In a Duel situation, he often annoys his friends by winning at the last second. However, in public, he's a showboat, and worries about crowd-pleasing a bit too much. Aside from this, though, he's a nice guy, who gets along with pretty much anyone.

Personality: Serious and leaderlike. He is a very nice person and cares for everyone and everything, and he would do anything to defend those he like.

Hair: Long, jet black hair that rolls down her head in waves. Her hair reaches down to the middle of her back.

Eyes: Hazel, almost dark brown.

Clothings: Wears a black t-shirt with tight black jeans. She has a dark purple pair of glasses, as well as dark blue gloves with the fingertips missing.

Personality: Shizuka is quite a loner, and is somewhat dark. She has a reputation for liking to seduce men, but has since changed her ways a bit. She still likes to flaunt her alluring charm, but uses it to her advantage against everybody. SHe has a way of drawing a person into her words, then striking at the right moment, both in cards and in conversation. She is a lonely person, and depends on others for very little.

Valian was sitting in the duelist lobby, looking through his deck.

I don't really get the idea of playing card games with eachothers, but apparently these cards should possess some awesome powers, and if this happens to be true then they might be a powerfull ally in case my "brothers" would show up...

 

OoC: FYI, all of the three Avatars will get a card representing their God later, and they do call eachothers brothers (or sisters, if the one taking the role of Shiva's Avatar happens to play as female), altough they aren't really sibblings.

In his home in Queens, New York, right on 126th Street, Kenny opened the booster pack he'd picked up when he was shopping earlier, which advertised a sweepstakes entry into the Crystal Cup tournament. Hey, he thought, You never know. And, he was right.

 

When he'd opened that pack, in place of the tip card, there was a vanilla monster card, which said, "YOU WIN!" as the name, and, in the effect box, said that he'd won an all-expenses paid trip to New Domino City for he and his best friend and roommate, Joey Barone, and a guaranteed spot in the tourney! After hours of celebrating, the two boarded a plane in LaGuardia, with everything they'd need, as their van/D-Wheel was shipped by barge. He still couldn't believe it.

"Ugh."

Regilus always was planesick, and this time was no exception. As he touched down at Neo Domino City, the supposed "only utopia", he was feeling extremely nauseous. Again. Even though he was chosen by a powerful world-creating Hindu god to represent him on Earth, he still had his weaknesses.

When Kenny got off of the plane in New Domino, the supposed "Last Utopia", which seemed like a load of crap to him. The airport looked like New York in Japanese. Either way, though. He wore his nicest clothes; a pair of khaki pants and a black polo shirt, under his brown leather jacket. Next to him was his friend, Joey, who had traveled with him, who was ever so slightly taller than him, at, maybe 6'2", with wild, unkempt blonde hair, deep brown eyes, and a tattered, stained-all-to-hell tee-shirt, with equally as messed up jeans, and a pair of ancient Nikes.

 

There were three people there that seemed to be about their age. One was a dark-haired girl, with the aforementioned locks damn near reaching the small of her back, who wore a tight, black tee with even tighter, blacker, jeans, some purple eye glasses, and a pair of blue, finger-less gloves. She seemed somewhat dark, so he and Joe just kind of left her alone. There was another guy, who wore a red, stuffy-looking jacket with matching pants, who was rocking back and forth in his seat, looking really, really, green. There was a darkly-complexioned guy, who wore a dark-blue leather jacket thrown around a scruffy t-shirt with a large brown paw-print in the middle, who looked cocky and arrogant, nobody either Joey or Kenny would get along with.

 

There was another dude, in his late twenties, early thirties, screwing with his deck. He had almost impossibly spiked, blonde hair, with really icy eyes, one of which was marred by a scar of some kind, dressed like it was 2000 years ago. Even still, though, he looked like a good guy.

 

Ken and Joe just sat down at two available seats, and started jawing about the Mets, in a futile attempt to pass the time.

Clothings: A light blue shirt usually covered by a white jacket. With white pants as well, her duel disk is a Battle City one with small yellow gems on each card holder. Her D-Wheel is a blue version of a standard one with white trims.

Personality: While she usually keeps silent for long periods of time she takes her job as a ally of Vishnu very seriously and acts seriously while around the others. However she is very clumsy, often misunderstanding many things. Also she seems to be extremely carefree while not around the others.

Krez stood outside the stadium sitting on his worn out Duel Runner. He watched as people flocked into the arena behind him. He took a glance at his wrist watch. He sat there wondering if he still had time to take his bike for a spin. He eventually made up his mind and hopped onto the motorcycle which creaked as he did. He then sped of into the distance before circling around the arena a few times.

"Ken... you sure you're ready for this?"

"Uh, yeah. Where's the van?"

"Stadium parking lot. So... you sure you wanna Duel like that?"

Kenny nodded. He was wearing his Abbey Road tee-shirt with a pair of regular jeans.

"Are you ready?" Kenny asked.

"No. Let's do this."

Kenny chuckled, and the two high-fived, and made their way to the van.

The monitor inside the lobby turned on, and a message was played.

"We are sorry, but the tournament has been delayed by a day because of some of the competitors hasn't showed up yet, come back at the same time tomorrow please."

Valien placed his deck in his pocket and raised from his sitting place.

Well then, I have no time to stay here then...

He walked outside and saw Krez speeding around on his motorbike.

Kenny sighed. He was really keyed-up, too... but, no matter. He and Joey went back to the hotel room and ordered a pizza, and caught up on some sleep.

Reiko walked towards the Duel Arena, hoping that she wasn't late it had been a while since she had even had a proper duel. Nevertheless she continued to reach the arena merely to hear a loud sound coming from the speakers.

 

"We are sorry, but this tournament has been put on hold because some of the competitors, come back at the same time tomorrow." Reiko made a small groan, she was the cause of this. She then saw a odd-looking boy apparently quite unhappy due to the turn of events. He must be participating in the tournament . Feeling a tinge of guilt, she walked over to him and said "Excuse me but is there a problem?"

Kenny was standing with the older guy that he saw earlier, and someone was talking to one of them. He wasn't quite sure who. "No, no problem... I'm a little disappointed, though. You know who didn't come, by any chance?"

Regilus lay back on his hotel bed. He sighed. He was starting to have doubts about this whole "destroying the world" thing. It just didn't sit well anymore.

Brahma was correct on that regard. If Shiva's Avatar smelled betrayal, there would be a war that would destroy the whole world. For now, he decided to apply himself to a task that Brahma set him before he left for Neo Domino.

Just as you are my Avatar, find yourself eleven to be your own markers on those whom you choose. Make them your Prajapatis as I had done in the past...>

Clothings: He wears a tattered vest and striped shirt, both with a pentagram symbol on it. His pants are of an interesting blue-ish white, and he wears tennis shoes. This is after he removes his black cloak, which has a small metal pentagram hanging off of the hood.

Personality: He acts the part of the enigmatic watcher, speaking in few words and not showing many facial expressions. But if he goes too far, he also goes off the deep end, so to speak.
