"Hey sis! How's it going?" Leo asked as he stepped into Room 17 of the Long-Term Ward.

He, of course knew his twin sister Luna wouldn't respond to the question, since she had been in a coma for almost 8 years.

Since A-Day.

A-Day was the event that an alternate version of Victoria Atlas was sent from her dystopic future to prevent 8 years ago, an event that resulted in many cities being devestated, the temporary enslavement of 80% of the planet's population, and the death of Yusei Fudo.

But since then, mankind has flourished.

Nanites have revoltutionized virtually every field, allowing the constuction of transportals, devices that now link every city with over a million people across the globe, as well as colonies across the solar system. 10 billion humans still live under the sun, but what planet is receiving that sunlight is a good question. Some colonists are now becoming colonistic as they declare themselves to be of new nationalities.

Of course, these colonies wouldn't be possible without terraforming nanites.

But, while nanites can rejuvenate the cells of your body and fix damage at the genetic level, they can't mend the psychic backlash of 8 billion screams of agony filling your head.

Which is exactly what happened to Luna 8 years ago.

Now Leo, a professor at the Appalachian Duel Academy and a children's book writer, visits Luna, who transferred to Asheville because of the Great Smoky Mountains, one of her favorite places on, and off, of Earth.

But Leo, as he looked out onto the street at the changing leaves, didn't know that it would take a cold war between two ancient organizations, two versions of one person, a oil tycoon-turned-megalomaniac, and two twin girls who could save the world if they would just stop bickering amongst themselves.

He didn't know that, half a world away, in one of the oldest cities on the planet, the first shots of this war would ring out...

...and echo across the system.

"Do do do" he hummed as he continued to stride towards the structure where it was being held. He then checked back at his new card ahh the Machine Emperor Gaiel Infinity, how long he had longed for it.

Alexander gently placed his foot in the grass in an attempt to prevent water getting all over his shoes. Unfortunately, it had rained so hard last night, his efforts were futile, and the splash of water and the cold sensation of rain seeping into his shoes and socks made him frown slightly. He always frowned, for there was practically nothing that could make him smile. Now that his feet were damp, he figured there was no point in going as slow as he was, so he broke into a run.

He pushed lightly on the large, wooden double-doors and they creaked open. He silently slipped inside and walked at a slower pace than normal. Wanting to go unnoticed, he went around the large circular tables, instead of weaving through them like most were doing.

When he reached the steps he was looking for, a voice called out behind him, "Can I help you?"

Without turning around, Alexander spoke, "No thank you, I've been here before."

The voice did not speak again, so Alexander resumed his climb up the stairs.

A female figure with a black, rubbery cloak and a form-fitting catsuit of the same material, but with ornate gold armored plates and purple circuitry, walked into the personal quarters of Pope Urban VII, the first North American and the first non-white Pope.

Born Eli Sonda Cross (OOC: A rep if you can get what that means.), Urban quickly rose through the ranks of the Catholic Church in New York City until the UN Riot of 2042.

The riot was a march protesting the ineffectiveness of the UN Security Council against the events of A-day that went horribly out of control. With police either overworked or part of the riot, only a handful of bodyguards could stave off the rioters.

Until Bishop Cross, and this woman, stepped in to help.

Not a single shot was fired (though one was charged up almost to the point of a small-scale nuclear explosion if overloaded), and Bishop Cross was hailed as a hero.

He then rocketed up the ranks some more until being elected 2 years ago and receiving the Fisherman's Ring.

His companion had a silver version of that same ring, signifying her elite rank as the Pope's Ringed Hand.

The "Ringed Hand" was a position that was never recorded onto paper. Only during grave emergencies did a Pope choose a "Ringed Hand", and even then they had to go through a rigorous set of trials held in cloisters deep within the Vatican.

This woman became the first female to do so.

Now she served the Pope, her good friend (though not in bed. Urban insisted on keeping to the faith, even though his "Hand" would, literally, take a bullet for him) to whatever extent.

Urban motioned for a pair of Swiss Guardsman to bring over an ancient scroll. With careful precision, Victoria unfurled the scroll to reveal a depiction of a red serpent with 5 smaller, dragonic companions.

She removed her hood to reveal spiky, black hair, a pale face riddled with pulsing purple circuitry, and violet eyes with black sclera. She knelt down on one knee as the Pope gave his blessing and prayed to God for his guidance against Yliaster.

Early next morning, a detachment of Swiss Guard (in business uniform) set out with Victoria Chronos, the "Ringed Hand", to Rome's Transportal. There, they went through to Neo Domino, as discreetly as possible.

Victoria used her own MAGI abilities to schedule an appointment with the Municipal President, Aki Fudo.

This is going to be interesting... Vicky thought to herself.

I dreamed what happened last night. A more childish version of Vicky's voice butted in.

Zak was waiting outside the meeting room door, it had yet to be unlocked. He clicked his tongue as he drew a pocketwatch from his pant pocket and opened it, it was still in pristine condition, even after 80 years of it being passed through his family. He replaced it and drew his deck of cards, flicking through each until it stopped of Wastrel. 'This is only a meaningless badge, my normal cards are by far superior to this one, but it was promised that this can defeat the signe dragons, and I intend to see for myself if that is true' he thought, and waited.

"Oh hello mister Zak" said Itosuki joyfully. "Its so good to see you! You see I just got promoted to a Yliaster member finally. So I'm able to be in the meetings now!" he said in a very energenic way but then paused and made a puzzled look with his face. "But what was the reason they put you in mister Zak?" he said as he had forgotten already that he was supposed to remain silent.

Sak turned his eye to Itosuki. 'Annoying little bastard' he thought coldly. 'I was chosen to be Yliastar because of my power and influence, they came to me. I did not need to beg and moan for the position, they handed my Wastrel and sent me on my merry way' he said coldly.

Personality: On the outside, a kind, polite, and peaceful gentleman with an affinity for teaching youngsters about dueling. However, when anything related to Yliaster is so much as uttered in his presence, his blood begins to boil. While he will retain his composure when he needs to, he will do whatever it takes to defeat Yliaster, even if it would mean throwing his own life away.

Bio (A brief summary of your character): Nigen was born in an average mid-sized city and had no issues or problems whatsoever during his entire childhood. He learned to read only slightly earlier than average and was a very quick study in everything he did. When he was 17 years old, he somehow managed to pull off attaining a license to teach dueling and would often do so whenever asked. It was a nice, peaceful road. Then one day, a young man, incredibly arrogant started dueling his students with cards he had never seen before and, at the end of each duel, another student would fall dead, or at least into a deep coma. Having seen this tragedy with his own eyes, he challenged the young man to a duel and managed to defeat him. However, the young man retreated and, during the night, the area where he freely taught dueling to kids had burned to the ground and all of his students killed or placed into comas from dueling.

 

From the infinity mark on the charred remains of the area he taught, he knew it was Yliaster's doing. For three years, he has been trying to find and destroy Yliaster for the murders they have committed. For killing those children, for destroying his dream, and throwing his life into turmoil... Yliaster had to pay!

Luna had been in the Spirit World this whole time.

Ancient Fairy Dragon and Regulus daily attended to their charge, making sure that she was alright.

Because Luna's soul wasn't exactly in a complete state of mind.

Finally, a member of Yliaster! Now, the chicks will be clinging on me...

He shook his head at the thought to wash it away. He then resumed it with a bit more seriousness.

I have a mission to carry out, and for that I will have to go to that place...

He arrived at the airport, and demanded his D-Wheel to be placed on the plane immediately.

"Where are you going then?" The man who was in charge asked.

"I'm going to... Woohoo!" He suddenly saw a girl, she was around the age of 26, and her body was, as Joan would have said, "impressionnant". In a moment of two seconds he was in front of the woman.

"Bonjour, ma dame." He said in a flirty way, but the woman just had a weird look on her face.

"What's with the weird costume?" She just said, and Joan fell to the floor in a typical over-the-edge-anime-reaction.

The lady walked away and the man who had asked Joan where he was going walked up to him.

"So, where were you going now again?" He simply asked.

Said Itosuki in his usual playful manner, then his eyepatch dropped again and he quickly put it up to its regular place. "I just wonder where everybody else is.." said Itosuki while twiddling his thumbs waiting for the others. "I suppose that they must've forgotten the time".

Joan was on the airplane now, on his way to the meeting place.

I am late, I hope the bosses won't really mind. They know that the card crashed in my own homeland of France, and those lazy bastards had me go get it myself...

He looked outside, they were going down. As they landed, he quickly exited the plane, took hi D-Wheel and sped away, towards the meeting place.

I still have a couple floors to go, he thought, Hopefully it's still there where I left it.

He reached the sixth floor, but kept climbing. He passed few people, and he seemed to be the only one in such a hurry. Although there was no reason to rush, Alexander felt he had to get there as quickly as possible, as if something might happen if he didn't.

On the eighth floor, he stopped his rush and removed a key from inside his inside, coat pocket. He looked left, right, over the banister and up the next few flight of steps to make sure no one was coming. The key slid into place with the lock on the door, which was marked:

Slowly, he turned the key, and when there was a loud clicking, he pushed it open. As expected, there was nothing out of the ordinary. Just rows and rows of bookshelves. On his right, there was a balcony overlooking the main room and those circular tables that greeted his arrival. He could see people shaking off rain from outside when they entered, just as he had done. On his left, there were more books. He set a brisk pace, traversing through the maze of bookshelves, until he reached the back wall. He took his key once more and slipped it into the lock. Just like the last time, he turned it until there was a clicking sound. Then the door swung open.

The plaque beside the door said:

The young Duel Instructor had recently found a lead to a new recruit into Yliaster from a number of informants who happened to be 'in the know' about such things. His information led him to an international airport. As he arrived, he saw a D-Wheel speeding off past him. Curious to see if the one on the D-Wheel was an Yliaster agent or not, he flagged down a taxi. Getting in, he yelled in a panic, "Follow the D-Wheel that just left the airport!" The cab driver nodded with an overenthusiastic grin "In the middle of one of those high-speed chases like in those action flicks? Oh, those are so cool! Well buckle up and let's go!" and followed the D-Wheel. His mind was racing and his blood was boiling, but he retained his outside composure for as long as he had to, continuing to follow the D-Wheel via the taxi. There is no doubt in his mind that the one on the D-Wheel would notice the taxi following him. It didn't matter as long as he could take out this Yliaster member and get information on the next one.

 

OOC: I'm following Joan in preparation for a duel. Any problems with it being so quick? Also, all languages in my posts will be localized to English just to simplify matters.

Joan stopped outside a building, not noticing the taxi.

This seems to be the adress, doesn't look so luxurious as I thought it wo-woohoo!

He once again saw a beautifull woman together with a little boy and ran towards her.

"Bon jour, ma dame!" He said gantly, but the woman looked at him without understanding a thing, and pointed towards the tourist information not so far away.

"You should probably go there if you need help..." She said and turned around.

"What wa sup with his outfit?" The little boy asked.

"Oh, he's probably just a member of some cult, or he's celebrating St. Lucy's Day too early." She told him. Joan once again fell to the ground in a typical anime reaction.

Nigen saw this going on and instructed the taxi to stop a hundred yards away to let him off. Paying the man, he left. Duel disk on his arm, he placed a brown cloak over himself to obscure his identity from the Yliaster member. If they found out who he was, he would never be able to destroy Yliaster. Along with that, he donned a mask that he picked up in a costume shop prior to this first face-to-face encounter with an Yliaster member. The mask appeared to be plain white with the mouth taken out, but with the symbol resembling "II" along it in dark green.

 

Cloak, mask, and duel disk, prepared, he walked over to the place where the Yliaster member had stopped to oggle at women and, once reaching a certain point in the road, he pointed with his left hand at the member of Yliaster and shouted, "Yliaster!! You'll answer for your sins here! Duel me and face judgment!"

Within a Industeral Allyway on Luna, A Rift opens. The figure Walks out and Removes his hood, Revealing his face. He Swipes his right arm to close the Rift; leaving a little heat. The Teen then lifts off the armor plating and zips off the robes, Changing into a Security Uniform.

 

"Now...Were did Shinal's Tablet land?..."

"I don't have time for..." Joan started, but when he saw Nigen fear spread across his face. "No... No! NO!!!" He then turned around and ran away from Nigen and the building. He has an obscure fear for masks...

 

OoC: I didn't want to start a duel since I GTG now, but I think Joan and Nigen will meet up again soon.

OOC: It's fine, though I daresay it's a hilarious means of escaping it.

 

Nigen scoffed and darted after the retreating Yliaster member, picking up pebbles and throwing them at the pursued, among the stones being a miniscule homing beacon before he stops and gives up, catching his breath. Nigen was not the most athletic man in the world, but at least he managed to successfully plant a homing device on him. He then took started walking back, mask, cloak, and duel disk still attached. He then spotted the Yliaster member's D-Wheel. Grinning at his good fortune, he got on it and speeded off back to his hotel room, which contained the radar to track and monitor the Yliaster member's every move.

 

When he arrived at the hotel, he severed the brakeline before entering. As he made his way up to his hotel room, he removed his mask and requested a kettle of boiling water be delivered to his room in a half-hour. Then made his way back to his hotel room and used a surveillance satellite to watch the Yliaster member that he had found. He knew that Yliaster was crafty, though, so he anticipated that he would either get false footage or no footage at all. Even moreso, he also assumed Yliaster would know everything about him by now merely by showing his face to the taxi driver or the receptionist at the front desk. Even more, he anticipated Yliaster to know where he was staying and pay him a visit if they haven't already.

The Disused Yiaster walked along the Metal Plated Walkways and Circuar Buildings; Lost in the complex maze of the Human Empires Colonly. The Seach fustrated the Yiaster as he As well being lost, Kept get asking Questions and had to even had to help start up a Broken D-wheel; Even though he was Undercover. After though 2 hours of searching, he found the crash site.

 

"Hey, only Authoised Peronal only Officer!" Some guard in a kevlar Uniform commanded.

 

"Sigh...Do i have to reminde you who i am..." He removed his Helmet to show his Metal Eye casing showing the Yiliaster mark.

 

"Oh...Sorry sir...you here to examiam the Astroid then?" The reply was quite Arkword...

 

"Yes, why elce do you think im here!" Security members started looking at the two. The Yilaster walked over to the tablet; Ingraved with the image of a Gigantic Machine surrounded in light.

 

"Shinal...My emperess..." he whispered to himself, grabing his deck from his pocket...
