The Eleven Satanic Rules of YCM the Earth

 

1.Do not give opinions or advice unless you are asked.

 

2. Do not tell your troubles to others unless you are sure they want to hear them.

 

3.When in another’s lair, show them respect or else do not go there.

 

4. If a guest in your lair annoys you, treat them cruelly and without mercy.

 

5. Do not make sexual advances unless you are given the mating signal.

 

6. Do not take that which does not belong to you, unless it is a burden to the other person and they cry out to be relieved.

 

7. Acknowledge the power of magic if you have employed it successfully to obtain your desires. If you deny the power of magic after having called upon it with success, you will lose all you have obtained.

 

8. Do not complain about anything to which you need not subject yourself.

 

9. Do not harm young children.

 

10. Do not kill non-human animals unless you are attacked or for your food.

 

11. When walking in open territory, bother no one. If someone bothers you, ask them to stop. If they do not stop, destroy them.

 

Some members should follow 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, and 11.

11. When walking in open territory, bother everyone. If someone bothers you, bother them and destroy them after.

I have my reasons for not being a LaVeyan Satanist myself but I do follow some of these rules.

My ethics are taken from several religions since I believe most of them contain important moral advice.

(On an Internet forum though?:?)

Those that do not make sense to me:

1 (some situations force you to speak up and tell your opinion), 3 (vengeance), 6 (again perspective matter), 7 (I don't use magic), 8 (social issues and illnesses, they do exist even though I'm not harmed by them), 9 (I tried to kill someone when I was a child), 10 (milbs? bacterias? ants you walk on?)

 

I respect it when people chose to follow all of them but I just don't see myself in some of these cases.

 

 

I happen to be a LaVeyan Satanist.

It's called "The A[b'][/b]sshole and Selfish Bastard Religion... with Atheism"

 

At least this makes some kind of sense.

1: People can/should give their opinions to other people, because they can change something. Unless it's harsh and just being an arse, then keep it to yourself.

 

4: Do unto others as you would like done to you. Do YOU want to be treated with vengeance?

 

10: Accidents happen. What happens when your hand is ACCIDENTALLY holding a pistol, you ACCIDENTALLY pull the trigger, and you were ACCIDENTALLY aiming at a deer. ACCIDENTALLY.

LaVey Satanism is weird. They don't worship satan but they use his name disgracfully to exemplfy their image.

 

Not that I have anything against it (or the people) but seriously. As a former Theistic Satanist it somewhat offends me.

Well not really.

It's not about the god Satan but the figure, like in Paradise Lost.

In most religions (the big Monotheistic ones but also Paganism) he's considered a symbol of evilness since he goes against their deity(ies) but overall, the way he's described he can be considered evil by some but revolutionary/rebellious for others. Depends on what people see as "good" or "evil".

 

I don't think religions or religious people are "nice" or not, they're humans/human beliefs after all.
