I thought i'd put together a new deck and do some testing on it. It's based around my Spellcaster and Machine deck, and probably better in some peoples opinions. Anyways, Here it is.

I know the deck is lacking speed, because there's not a lot of card draws in the deck. I mean, there's only 7 cards in the deck that shorten the deck. (Technically there's 10, if you count the 2 Tuningwares and 1 Pot of Avarice.)

 

As for the Sorcerer of Dark Magic, while I do agree with you that it can be the down fall of the deck, it can also potentially save my life. That's why I put in those 6 Synchro Spellcaster. So I could summon it more quickly if I draw it.

Reasons about added cards;

 

Lightning Vortex: To destroy opponents monsters more often.

Synchro Boost: To Perform Synchro Summons more often. The Additional ATK points are a bonus for emergencys.

Torrential Tribute: To destroy opponents monsters more often.

Quillbolt Hedgehog: To Perform Synchro Summons more often. And for additional protection, in the off chance I can't perform a Synchro Summon.

Try this...I wanted to focus more on spell counters...I removed breaker (only for conflicting room issues). I know you like 3x vortex but usually one is risky...i wouldn't even run three in my zombie deck. Try to keep that at one. Sorcerer of dark magacian is...well...i bumped up endymion.

It would probably be a lot easier to special summon monsters with the Exemplar, wouldn't it? And i'm keeping my Sorcerer and 2 of my Vortex cards in here, simply because I feel i'll need them. But the deck size has been reduced to 42 now.
