If we need more supers' date=' and at this point it looks like we do, I'm up for it.

Also I can' find where Icy said he was leaving.

[b'] It's on his IM[/b]

I also don't get why Umbra dropped back to being a normal mod.

Probably because of the aggravation

Wow Chaos was a Super? and ya I agree Flame Dragon for super

No' date=' but Umbra was.

[/quote']

And I agree Flame Dragon for Super

But Icy never demote himself' date=' he just leave so he is still a super mod

[/quote']

Icy'll be back. He can't stay away for more than a few days. I give him 2-3 days to a week and he'll be back.

I can understand the aggravation, but from what I could see Icy was the one that would get most of it.

Also if Icy is sick of the aggravation he should do as Umbra did. Go back to being a CC mod. He can still help, but most of the problems will be gone.

Eh. maybe.

YCM needs two things

1) More mods

2) New rules, more strict, there would be less breaking them because the punishment would be severe.

But.. eh I don't know. Icy is a hard one to figure out, and I could but I got problems of my own to worry about, I don't really have time to stress figuring out other peoples'. If Icy had a attitude like yours he'd be great, but that requires changes that will never happen.

Maybe we should have a mod election.

No, i disagree, YCMaker should chose the mods. If the wrong ones get elected and get the power and most of us will be screwed. Though a new mod selection should be made, the members shouldn't decide who gets the power.

He never responds to anyone but mods, and he isn't on that much. Why should he choose? He's out of touch with the "public" of YCM.

He's the Admin, for one. And do you honestly want a troll for a moderator? Eh do you? Or a Flamer? Or a bad person who bans people for kicks?

I don't, we need a moderator to be selected, but not by popular vote.

This is why we weed out the people you mentioned, or like Riku. We have the Mods review the choices, admins too, and then WE vote.

ATM I don't think we need more mods. If we look at how things break done, most sections are covered with at least one active mod.

If more mods were to be added though, having community input could be very helpful. Have members list out how they thing would make a good mod, then have the current staff vote for the final cuts. From there pm the list to YCMaker or Falling and see what they say.

We could also do what we did when I became mod. Have an offical candidate thread where members say "I want to be a mod. I'll be good for x, y, and z. And the section I would be best in modding would be m."

And if he dosen't come back' date=' it work out well too.

The problem with the strict rules can be seen in RP (or Fanfic, I don't know which one it is). They're trying to make it better by making more strict rules, but clearly a good number of members don't like this. So in do this we could only end up with more backlash.

That could work, but better yet, we submit the reviews to the mods and admins and they vote for who deserves it. I don't mean anything by saying the members shouldn't vote, but it would make since to let the mods and admins decide.

The Admins (And Supers with Admin's permission) are the only people capable of making a mod. So, I still say we vote, and they review. But, it'd work either way.

I agree, somewhat

But having new moderators would be useless if new rules won't be set.

The Trolling, Flaming and Spamming has gotten way out of hand.

I think if and when the admins are ready they will choose new mods. I'm sure by now they are hurting for someone who stays active and is community friendly. I personally would like to see a mod who is listens to the members stay's active and can enforce the rules without getting emotional, it's not a hard job it just takes patience and a someone who has experience. I by no means will offer a mod choice as their really isn't any of my business. I'm even more surprised that out of all the mods who have visited this thread they have not locked it. Its full of spam and its just gonna add to the list of warns or possible bans if it stays open.

See? Mod of the people (Who tried to come up with a new idea for the RP Section in the poll thread Senpai made). I say he really does need to replace Umbra's Spot.

Naturally the members who don't like the rules are the ones who break them, more or less. Not everyone will be satisfied but if it means that order will be restored, somewhat, I say go for it.

Well, right now I think it would be best to clarify the current punishments for breaking rules. Cause really some members getting 3 day bans for trolling, some getting warns, and other getting nothing at all is just wrong.

For the most part this thread isn't spammy. Plus it is good to have the community in on major events, and this clearly is major.

The members who DO like the rules never post and are boring as sheet.

Your opinion is invalid.

On the trolling I think a 3-strike rule should be passed, Strike 1- A 3-4 day ban Strike 2- a week ban and Strike 3 - Permabanned from YCM. The same goes for Flaming. On Spamming I say keep the same rules because not everyone means to spam. That's how I see it should be, somewhere along those lines. It's simple, and easy to follow.

I mostly agreed with that poll but like 10% I agreed with the Adv Clause
