A RISK-TAKING DECK!

WhoAreYou?

Recommended Posts

This time i decided to make a Gadget Deck. This deck can be used in 2 ways: to burn big time, or to overrun (with overrun being less likely because of the ATK on most of these monsters).

Monsters [23]

Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Chimera x2

Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon

Boot-Up Soldier - Dread Dynamo x2

Cannon Soldier x3

Giant Rat x3

Green Gadget x3

Heavy Mech Support Platform x3

Red Gadget x3

Yellow Gadget x3

Spells [10]

Heavy Storm

Lightning Vortex

Limiter Removal

Machine Duplication x3

Magical Mallet

Mystical Space Typhoon

Pot of Avarice

Swords of Revealing Light

Traps [7]

Roll Out! x3

Stronghold the Moving Fortress x3

Ultimate Offering

This is how I would do a burn with this deck:

Play Cannon Soldier, set Ultimate Offering. Next turn, (if Cannon Soldier is still on the field) activate Ultimate Offering, (MAKE SURE THERE ARE NO SPELLS/TRAPS ON YOUR OPPONENT'S SIDE OF THE FIELD) summon a Gadget, search the next gadget, pay 500 to play that one, search the next one and so on. If you have 5 monsters on your side of the field because of this, offer all the gadget cards, to inflict 2000 points, and then continue searching gadgets. When you're down to the last gadget and it's in your hand, if you have Pot of Avarice, PLAY IT to return 5 gadgets to your deck, then summon the remaining gadget that was in your hand, continue searching gadgets. You should be able to inflict 7000 points of damage to your opponent in just 1 turn. sure, you lose that much too due to the cost of summoning each monster, but now you and your opponent are down to 7000. If your opponent has a huge defense monster, use Lightning Vortex, attack and you win.

Giant Rat Speeds up the burn process by getting a gadget out straight from your deck, but make sure you don't lose any Life Points. If you're not looking towards burning your opponent, you can keep at least 1 gadget and play Boot-Up, especially when you special summon it with Giant Rat's effect.

Heavy Mech is a good add to this deck, though it's most likely to be destroyed after you put it on the field, so set a Roll Out to bring it back.

Oh, and note that Stronghold the Moving Fortess's ATK will be easy to achieve with the Ultimate Offering =3

You're focusing on burn while using Gadgets. The Gadgets are involved around hand advantage and field control. With Ultimate Offering, you had the right idea, but you messed up with Cannon Soldier.

If you're going to use Gadgets use them separately as a single deck-type, not mixed with Ancient Gears and Burn.

wait a minute, i'm not mixing the gadgets with ancient gears except two kinds, and they both support the gadgets... depending on which monster you offer, that is. But the gadgets are actually good for any deck, i have a friend who uses gadgets to get speed up the process of getting exodia out faster. kinda weird, eh?

A few comments:

-The burn aspect isn't being done right. Use Black Ptera, not Gadgets, if you're aiming for that strategy.

-I also don't really see the practicality to three Machine Duplications, since you have only 2 targets, both being subpar. Even with Pot of Avarice, Dupe only really serves a purpose if you draw it while having two other copies of the target in your deck and neither Dread Dynamo nor Heavy Mech really serve a use with 3 copies out. (Dynamo I see the point of, but it requires a Gadget out to be useful.) On that note, Stronghold is too conditional to serve a use.

-Likewise 3 copies of Rollout is going to bring dead draws with only Heavy Mech as a target, and it'd have to be in the graveyard, and while it can be useful, the deck really doesn't support Heavy Mech much, since your machines are mostly weak and easily run over anyway. Gadgets don't get much benefit from lingering on the field.

-The Ancient Gears aren't useful enough, even with Gadget support. Chimera is all but useless and Dragon is better if used with Geartown.
