Monztor
After buying so many Gladiator Assault packs to try and build a GB deck, I ended up collecting a ton of Cloudian cards. I was getting rather annoyed that every single pack I opened had a Cloudian - Smoke Ball in it. So I thought to my self, well hey, I haven't seen anyone at school use these guys yet so lets see if I can a new water deck. After putting more research in and some fun feed back, heres the deck that I would like to make. This new list is edited [and how many cards i still don't have] Monsters (21)2 Cloudian - Cirrostratus [need one more]2 Cloudian - Acid Cloud [need two more]3 Cloudian - Altus [need three more]2 Cloudian - Storm Dragon [need two more]2 Cloudian - Ghost Fog 2 Cloudian - Nimbusman 2 Mother Grizzly 2 Skreech [need two more]2 Cryomancer of the Ice Barrier [need two more]2 Zeradias, Herald of Heaven [Need two more] Magic (13) 3 Cloudian Squall 2 Fog Control Lightning VortexMST3 Sanctuary in the Sky [need three more]2 Salvage (2)2 Moray of Greed [need two more]Giant Trunade Trap (7)Mirror Force [need 1 more]Solemn Judgment [need 1 more]2 Bottomless Trap Hole [need 2 more] Extra Deck (1)Dewloren, Tiger Prince of the Ice Barrier [still need at least one] Side Deck (15)Storm Dragon (Need 1 more)Cryomancer of the Ice Barrier (need one more)2 Chain Energy (need 2 more)2 Diamond Dust (need one more)Moray of Greed (need one more)2 Royal Oppression (need 2 more)Spirit Barrier (Need one more)Salvage2 Threatening Roar (need two more)Swords of Revealing LightDeck Lockdown (need one more) Thanks to help from Griffin and Daliha, I've chosen a deck that looks like this. Thanks to the handy ability of Cloudians of not being destroyed, and The Sanctuary in the Sky, my life points are quite safe. After taking the field advantage and hand advantage with Cirrotratus, Acid Cloud and Altus respectively, then I can easily dish out Dewloren. With Dewloren easily accessible as many cloudians are level 4 and Cryomancer of the Ice Barrier is level 2. (I picked Cryomancer over Deep Sea Diva, as this deck has no sea-serpents.) As I am likely to TSiTS and Squalls, I already have plenty to return to my hand. And if I need to reactivate any cloudian ability to restock on counters, i can return them as well. I have sided Chain Energy, Deck Lock Down, Royal Oppresiion, and Swords as I can return them strategically, to access their effects while my opponent suffers. Since these cards rely more on Dewloren, I included an extra Cyromancer for added chance of summoning Dewloren. So tell me what you think =)
Sephiroth_The_Legend
Neo Daedalus in unuseable in this deck as it does not contain Levia Dragon.(i know it doesnt mention it on the card but that was a mega misprint by failnami) there are a few questionable cards in this deck. im not 100% sure on what to remove/add because ive never played Cloudians. but i can tell there are some unneeded cards in here. -Griffin
Remove the Normal Monsters, Deadle, Diamond-Dust, Big Wave Small Wave, Tornado Wall and the ALOs then add in some Spirit Barrier/Sanctuary in the Sky and make sure you're using 3 Cirrostratus, that should be a good start. Monztor
Hmm, I can see why I should do that, but sadly I don\'t have those cards. Spirit Barrier is a card that I\'ve been wanting to get my hands on, so I have to make due with Waboku. I certainly would enjoy extra Cirrostratus as well. -Griffin
Cloudian - Acid Cloud - GLAS-EN010 - Rare$0.39Cloudian - Cirrostratus - GLAS-EN011 - Rare$0.49Cloudian - Altus - GLAS-EN012 - Rare $0.39Cloudian - Storm Dragon - LODT-EN040 - Common$0.33Fog Control - GLAS-EN051 - Common$0.33 Those are all cheap enough that you should be able to get a playset. Look here for them:http://www.trollandtoad.comTrust me, the site's reliable and happily ships anywhere. I got delivery all the way to England for just $1 for a full 40 card Deck.As an aside, Fog Control is the only real reason to run Smoke Ball, and you should only run 1 Smoke Ball and preferably about 1 Fog Control at least for each Turbulence. Spirit Barrier - DR3-EN051 - Rare (or common)$1.49 That's a bit more expensive, but for Cloudains, it's kinda needed, so I'd try to get at least one or two. Tempest Dahlia
A cloudian user! I can definitely expend my time and patience with you.First of all, they don't swarm: they're too slow of an archetype. But they have gotten great speed and toolboxing by the names of Moray of Greed, Skreech, Salvage and Mother Grizzly. They even have Deep Sea Dive, to sync into Dewloren and get Cloudians back to your hand. So! I'll be back with a Cloudian deck, and i'll explain basically anything you need help with. Cloudians are my specialty. ^-^
Monztor
Oh wow o.o This certainly is a lot of help. I've been looking for a good site to buy cards and this just may be the winner. Thanks Griffin =) And to Deliha, I guess I came to the right place because I was hoping I'd find a Cloudian expert in here! I never even knew those cards existed until now! Dewloren looks amazing btw. But, it hasn't actually been made into a TCG card has it? Anyway, any help will be appreciated ^^ You can call me your student if you want to hahaha. -Griffin
You're right about Dewloren, he's still currently refined to the OCG. Out of interest, what sort of budget are you looking to spend? I've been trying to keep things very cheap, but I don't know if you had enough money to throw into some more expensive things here. Monztor
Ohh, I was wondering why it seemed insanely cheap to fix up my deck haha. Hmm...I guess I'm looking at anywhere between $10 to $20. Is that a pretty decent range?
-Griffin
That seems fine. First just fix up your Deck with the first suggestion I made and what you think you can afford, try to get a pair of Bottomless Trap Holes in there too. If you don't have them, they're reasonably cheap - only $2.79 on T&T, but you'll be including them in almost every Deck you make, so it's ell worth the investment. Monztor
Thanks for the tips! I have no problem finding most of the cards I need on T&T, but it seems all the Spirit Barriers are all out of stock "/ I'm looking at Sanctuary in the Sky, although more expensive, although I would like the Spirit Barriers as they are more universal. And not to mention cheaper haha. So I'll probably add 2 more Cloudian - Cirrostratus But what should I do with Acid Cloud, Storm Dragon, Altus? And is Eye of the Typhoon worth it?
-Griffin
I personally don't like Eye of the Typhoon that much, but you can if you want to. I'd include 2-3 Altus and Storm Dragons, probably 3 of each since they're some of the best Cloudians. You can experiment with the number of Acid Clouds, depending on how much Spell and Trap Destruction it's worth using in your local area. It's a shame about Spirit Barrier, so you might need to play more aggressively, Fissures or Smashing Grounds are a possible (and cheap) option, Lightning Vortex would be cheap, but they only have expensive ones in stock. If you know any changes you'll make for sure, edit them into the first post, it helps to know what's left to change.
Tempest Dahlia
Here's a skeletal structure of what a Cloudian deck should look like. 212 Cirrostratus3 Altus2 Acid cloud2 Storm dragon2 Ghost fog2 Skreech2 Nimbusman2 Mother grizzly2 Zeredias2 Deep sea diva-Notice everything's at 2: for maximum play, less cramping. 151 Lightning vortex3 cloudian squall3 Sanctuary in the sky2 Salvage2 Fog control1 MST1 Giant trunade2 Moray of greed 41 Mirror force2 Bottomless1 Solemn judgement You could use spirit barrier instead of TSiTS. -Griffin
You have Skreech in their twice, I'd remove all 4 of them for a Cirro, Altus and Storm Dragon, then test around with the last slot, probably a Moray or something. You're also running Terraforming of Zeriadas, which is just wrong.Sans my dislike of Skreech and the Terraformings, looks good
Tempest Dahlia
Mor than 2 in a cloud deck cramps it. Skreech makes it so that you 'choose the targets for salvage'.But l do have it 4 times o.o l can neg 2 for the zeredias (l always forget zeredias, sorry zeredias.), and 2 terraforming for a third altus and a lightning vortex.
