Duelsits can qualify for their own type because in all technicality, they are not warriors nor spellcasters, rather they play cards.[spoiler=Yugioh - Duel Monsters][spoiler=Lore]When this monster is Summoned, flip a coin and call it. If you call it right, double the ATK of all "Duelist-type monsters you control until the end phase. If you call it wrong, your turn ends. If this monster is selected as an attack target, roll a 6 - Sided Dice. If your result is 1-3, negate the battle and destroy two cards on the field. If it is 4-6, destroy all cards you control and end the turn. [spoiler=Lore]This monster is unaffected by spell cards. Once per turn you can discard one monster from your hand to Special Summon 1 Spellcaster-type or Duelist-type monster to your side of the field. When this monster is sent from the field to the graveyard, you can Special Summon 1 "Duel Monsters" Monster from your Deck to the field. [spoiler=Lore]While you control at least 1 Dragon-type monster on your side of the field, you can Special Summon this monster from your hand. You can pay 1000 Life Points to Special Summon up to two Level 6 or lower Dragon-type monsters from your graveyard. [spoiler=Lore]This monster is unaffected by your opponent's Monster card effects. When this monster is Summoned you can Special Summon 1 level 4 or lower Spellcaster-type or Warrior-type monster from your hand. When this monster destroys an opponent's monster, your opponent must discard their hand, and draw 3 cards. Both players see the cards and any monsters drawn are discarded. [spoiler= Yugioh GX][spoiler=Lore]You can pay 2000 Life Points to double the ATK of all Machine-Type monsters on your side of the field. During the end phase of the turn you activate this effect, destroy this monster. Reduce the ATK of all monsters on your side of the field to half their original ATK during the 2nd end phase after this effect is activated. [spoiler=Lore]Once per turn, you can search your deck for 1 card with "Crystal" in it's name or card text and add it to your hand. If this card would be destroyed, you can place it in the spell/trap card zone instead as a Continuous spell card. While this card is a Continuous Spell card, you can add 1 "Crystal" card from your graveyard to your hand. Shadow Zero Posted January 16, 2010 Report Share Posted January 16, 2010 i see some small capitalization errors, but other then that it seems to be fine. honestly, i thought that the concept of a duelist type was going to be a lot different. also, you can't restrict just to the duelists already in the series, although i suppose that that will give you a large enough bas e to be starting with. if you want this to be a long running series of cards though, then you'll have to make/find pics that look like they would fit as duelist type monsters and make those into cards with their own names while keeping in mind that the names should sound like they belong in the series. 8/10 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
