Chaos Flamvell Turbo

It's like Theodore Stamelatos' deck but with Flamvells replacing Zoombinis. This was a really inspired idea and I expect to be trying it in the near future depending on the success of Little City. Obviously the idea is for it to be really fast and do some serious pummelling mostly with the Level 8 Synchros. Might make room for Summon Priest.

Lightsworn components mill Flamvell creatures to the Graveyard to quickly fuel Rekindling and provide fast Synchro swarms, or for Flamvell Counter when I side it in. The Chaos element fits naturally as I can safely play Dark monsters here like Necro gardna etc which fit in well with the deck.

Maybe try an Ehren over Ryko but other than that I like it :3

 

I like Ehren, it's decent tech this format especially against a lot of the popular Zombie decks right now but for what it gives I really don't want to waste money on it.

You are running 5 effective targets for DAD (Necro doesn't count), only 1 of which you actually want there (PSZ).

 

Ditch the chaos theme and stick to LS/Flamevell, which will ultimately make it run a lot faster and hit harder. You end up with more targets for Rekindling, CotLB, Recharge, and often enough will be able to get more then a +1 out of Rekindling.

As it stands, Firedog and Magician are the only good Flamvells in the TCG, hence I don't want to add anymore. How the hell does Necro NOT count as a target for DAD? If anything it makes DAD better because it gives me graveyard control. I know I don't want the other Darks in grave, but they're going to end up there as a matter of cause.

i'd drop your 3rd Necro for Summoner Monkie.

 

3 necros is overkill even in other LS builds...

 

Yeah that's what I was thinking anyway' date=' 3rd Necro only went in because I couldn't think of any other darks, so I'll go ahead and make that change.

 

I was gonna say why not run 1 JD, then I noticed you have EXACTLY 4 names. I like the idea, not to sure on how well it would work.

 

PS, take a look at my new build.

 

I'm feeling like it will be explosive but discussed with a mate of mine who warns it may lose on bad mills (like any deck that splashes LS can). Just got to wait and see.

Reps for anyone who can playtest this with WC09 or Tag Force 4 and give some feedback, unfortunately neither are available to me. Not too fussed about how it runs against whatever deck type but more so how consistent/powerful it is and effectiveness in doing what it is supposed to.

Using the exact same ratio as the Zombie/LS build that topped at the last SJC. Remember, the LS engine is more simply an element to speed up the Chaos and mill for Flamvells rather than play a huge role in field presence.

Ok... so i did 3 Duels against Plants and 3 against Blackwings

Here are the scores:

Won 3-0

It was good, but it was tough to take out Black Garden when Tytanial was on the Field... very tough.. also the Wall of Thorn and Mirror Force cards were a B**ch, so I would suggest a few Dark Bribes and a Solemn... a mirror force for yourself if you really want it.. but its not necessary.

Record: 2 Wins - 1 Loss

BW was tough to beat... but not as tough as beating the Tytanial, Black Garden combo... Here during the duel that I lost, I didn't get out any Lv 6 Synchros and I was up against Armor Master w/ Colossal Fighter and Thought Ruler... So eventually he wiped out the monsters on my field and swarmed for the OTK. But I did get his Lp down to 3300, so that match wasn't a complete failure.

 

Overall, it is a good deck... I do feel that the Chaos Sorcerer and Mind Control cards weren't that handy since I was able to win w/out them. Also, the 3rd Solar Recharge and 3rd Charge of the Light Brigade weren't all that useful either since I got them late in the game and didn't really have anything to do w/ them when all my LS were either in the grave or on the field. Also with only 5 Flamveills, the 3rd Rekindling didn't work that well... especially when I only had one Flamveill magician in the grave.

 

The play is fairy fast.. the Solar Recharge and Charge of the Light Brigade did help thin out the deck... so its your chose whether or not you want to keep them... I suggest to ditch 1 Charge at least and throw in a Lightning Vortex or MST.

 

If you have some specific card I didn't mention to ask about... I'm here for another half hour.

Cheers for feedback. I'll let you know how I get on when I eventually get around to playing this IRL.

 

RE your game against Plants: I would have just gone for Stardust Dragon right away due to the easy LV8 Synchro access, that way Wall of Thorns etc isn't a problem.

Yeah Dusts and MST are in the side, shouldn't be a problem. My main concerns meta wise are Macro and Stun, which is what the S/T removal side is usually used against.
