EAK63 Posted February 2, 2010 Author Report Share Posted February 2, 2010 What makes you think I wanted to make it funny, or draw the characters bad. I tried my best to make it entertaining. Sorry about it being too big, I'll fix that problem. Also: This is just the first chapter. I think you might find it bad at the moment because it hasn't gotten into the storyline yet. Weather Report - Stand Posted February 3, 2010 Report Share Posted February 3, 2010 Well, I mean, they have huge heads and over-exaggerated necks! Their bodies are so puny in comparison! When you draw hands, they look like bumpy nubs! I really didn't find anything inside that made me want to continue, it looked like your main character was a stereotypical shonen hero, with no obvious flaws other than that he wants to help the innocent! And he looks exactly like Yusei (if he is, then I overlooked that part on accident), which lead me to believe that you were using him in your story as a parody. Being in High School, however, I'm expected to draw better than you, but I don't have a scanner, meaning I can't show off like I'd like to... either way, I'm sorry if I touched too sensitive a nerve with these comments, but the only way you're going to get anybody reading this story is if you come up with a REALLY good, interesting, original plot. You could copy and paste it into Paint.Net or GIMP or something like that, and then zoom in to get a good size. Btw, I have made a site about this manga and it's sets and stuff! I would like it if anyone reading this comment will join it and post their Fan-Fics and stuff. He is obviously young, and he obviously tried. The only important thing is if you tried hard, the plot line isn't fantastic but keep going, with time you will get better. Also a little bit of constructive crtisizm on the art, try to make there heads a little bit smaller and there necks more in proportion with the head, try looking at how the artist for Yugioh GX drew his characters, copy it a few times and see if you get the hang of it. :] Thats about it from me ^.^ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If you're doing a comic book, type the dialogue in a san-serif type for legibility instead of writing by hand. Similarly, the art should REALLY be good. I see pencil sketches. My only excuses are that when you're reviewing stuff on this forum, you expect most things to suck and have to get in that mindset unless it's something mindblowing. The other reason is that I was writing YuGiOh GX the Fan Fic that night, and having to watch that show to parody it would make ANYBODY mad. This is only HALF-joking.
