1. The c4d is most likely on lighten.

2. If he had reduced the opacity of the gun, all of the focal would be transparent.

You can easily mask just the gun with a low opacity brush. So funk you.

And lol at transparent gun. He didn't mask it with a low opacity brush because simply there isn't a smooth transition from dark to light. If he did then it would've messed up the tag. The blue FRACTAL is just being an over-effect on the gun.
