Sacred Magicians (An attempt to make Dark Magician competitive)

Exactly what the title says. I may make these into cards later...

 

Sacred Magician of Darkness

Effect Monster/DARK/Level 7/Spellcaster/ATK: 2500/DEF: 2100

This card’s name is treated as “Dark Magician.” When this card is Summoned, you can remove from play 1 Spellcaster-Type Monster in your Graveyard and destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card. Once per Turn, you can discard 1 card from your Hand and Special Summon 1 Spellcaster-Type monster from your Deck or Graveyard. That monster cannot attack the Turn it was Summoned and its effect is negated.

 

Sacred Magician’s Apprentice

Effect Monster/DARK/Level 4/Spellcaster/ATK: 1800/DEF: 1400

Once per turn, select on your side of the Field one monster that can have a Spell Counter placed on it. If a Spell Counter is placed on the selected monster, you can add additional Spell Counters to that monster up to the maximum number of Spell Counters specified in its effect. This card’s effect cannot be applied to a monster that does not have a maximum number of Spell Counters specified in its effect.

Yep. Exactly. Makes bringing out DM or SMoD much easier.

 

Or Buster Blader. Or you can refill a Power Stone, or Breaker/Defender...

That's really useful in Edymion builds, actually.

 

True. But who uses Power Stone these days? Isn't it considered too slow for the meta?
