Aero~
man: I think I'll go to bed now, obviosly not suspecting anything.murderer: sneeks into window, with clean knife and glaves, I don't think I need to explain the rest.man: screamsmurderer: sneaks out and goes back home.jugde: calls murderer in murderer in because next door neighbors with man. "Any evidence?"investigator: "No."judge: "Well, innocent until proven guily. You're good to go... For now."murderer: repeats whole process again. This scenario may happen, or something like it. Pudpop
But unfortunately you can get this: Man: I think I'll go to bed now.Murderer: Sneaks in with gloves etc. Gets DNA evidence of someone who doesn't have an allibi.Man: DiesMurderer: Innocent till proven guilty. And well, that's why that law is there. Cin
Works either way really. In Death Note (film) the person who killed Misa's parents got off (even though she caught a brief glance)On the other hand, how many innocent people get jailed? Unfortunatly, this has happened in Ireland and the murderer got away with it and then murdered someone else. Fortunatly, the murderer got caught this time. Luna Lovegood
The French have the opposite idea' date=' guilty until proven innocent.[/quote'] Therefor, we are all guilty of murder, unless we have been proven innocent, and I for one, have not ;)

Scatty
Scenario: A: I am suing you for killing my grandpa!B: Why?A: Because I killed him but there is no evidence as I drove him to a remote zone and tossed him into acid that I then spilled into the lake. You don't record what I say, right?B: No...A: Ok then, I will simply sue you.B: Just because there is no evidence that you killed him, it doesn't mean there is evidence against me.A: Dude, this is France.B: God damn it. Doesn't sound very realistic, but it definitely sounds fun.
The Borg
I say it should be guilty until proven innocent on some crimes, like murder, but for shoplifting it works, or evading taxes!!!

Raylen
It's better to not jail people who are guilty than to jail people who aren't guilty.
Lazer Yoshi
It's kind of a good idea. How can you prove that something did something if you don't have good evidence? Then again, some criminals are masterminds, and hide their tracks very well.
