My dream......is to become a Knight!

This is the legend of a young hero who must save a Princess to fulfill his quest to become a Knight. His path is not an easy one; frought with peril and embarrassing scenes.

But this lad may one day achieve his dreams, and a lot of people will be counting on him

(He just does not know it yet)

Chapter 1: Save the Princess!

Ash, a something-year old boy wearing ragged armor and wielding a metal sword forged by his father, who was a farmer, was wandering around a dark and somehow mysterious forest, searching for a princess to rescue so he can become a knight, as suggested by the Hero. Then, while searching, he saw a living tree, complete with a carved mouth and eyes and its twigs acted as arms.

Ash lifted up his sword and attacked the living tree, which was called a Deadwood, by the way. The Deadwood acted in response and threw some kind of liquid or solid at Ash, which he dodged. Ash continued to attack the tree, slowly cutting it. After a while, the tree fell to the ground with a frown and Ash cheered.

Ash continued searching and saw a mysterious giant rock. It was so mysterious, that Ash decided to look under it, probably having a Princess tied underneath. He pushed with all his might and moved the rock, revealing two skeletons behind it.

“Impossible!” One of the skeletons said. “How did he find the unobvious secret rock?”

The other skeleton lifted its spear.

“Let’s eat his brains!” It yelled. Another skeleton from somewhere then also yelled “BRAINS!!!!!!!!!!!!”

It ran towards the skeleton and accidentally knocked it down into pieces. The first skeleton facepalmed himself.

“You are skeletons, not zombies. You do not eat brains. You are not even able to talk!”

The two other skeletons, one of them somehow managing to repiece itself, suddenly remembered it.

“Whoops…..” They said.

“Now…….. make some scary Skeleton noises.” The first skeleton said.

“Yes sir! I mean….Arreeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” The second skeleton said and the third skeleton said in response, “Arrreeeeeeeewwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!”

Ash, having enough of their talking, slashed all three of them into pieces before they could react. After they were defeated, Ash saw a sword with a skull engraved on it in the rock. He pulled it out of the rock. Then he said, "Who would stick a perfectly good sword in a stone like that?"

He continued on, encountering a few more Deadwoods and chopping them. He then saw a sorcerer in a black robe, which meant he was a Necromancer, sorcerers who raise the dead. There were a group of undead behind him and there was also a girl taken hostage by a big Deadwood. Girl? Princess!

“Good work, undead. Where ever did you find her?” The Necromancer said.

“Aaaaaaaaaaarreeeeeewwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!” One of the skeletons shouted in response.

“Really? What was she doing in there?”

“Aaaaaarrrreeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!”

“Oh my. Hmm, what should we do with her now?”

The girl gave an angry look. “Release me now or my Father will send his knights and-“

“Haha! And do what? You are very far from home, young Pri-“

There came a snap and then a skeleton arrived.

“Master! Someone is approachi-…Whoops! I mean…..Arew?”

“This is the last time I will say this!”

The skeleton was shaking with fear. “Eek! …….Arrew?”

The Necromancer walked towards the skeleton and rose his hand.

“In this world……the Undead are NOT able to talk!!!!!!”

He squeezed his hand so hard, blood came down. Once the blood hit the ground, a dark portal appeared in front of the skeleton. The very face of the Devil appeared for a split second and before the skeleton could react, it turned into dust. The Devil went back into the portal and it closed.

“Kill the intruder, then bring the girl to the crypt.” The Necromancer then said.

“HELP! Somebody save me!” The girl screamed out as the Deadwood brought her into the crypt. Ash began running, destroying each and every undead in his path. He reached the Deadwood and destroyed it, saving the girl.

“You saved me! My Knight in shining armor!” The girl said.

“Actually….The armor is old and rusty…. And I am not a Knight….. yet.”

“What? You’re….. not a Knight?”

“No. Because I am not of noble blood, I must save a….. save a Princess to earn a King’s favor to be Knighted. Then… I will conquer all evil and become the ArchKnight!”

“Are you serious?”

The girl looked like as if she was about to laugh, and she did. He fell down and began rolling on the floor, laughing. Ash was speechless.

“Haha! You are just wandering the forest on the chance ….. you will find some ….cliche Princess and save her….”

The girl kept laughing for a while before the Necromancer appeared again. He cast a purple force field in front of Ash.

“Excuse me….. Sir Wannabe, you will have to find your own. This one is mine.”

A skeleton appeared and put the girl on its shoulder. The Necromancer and the skeleton then walked towards the crypt as the girl screamed for help. After a while, the purple force field disappeared. Convinced she was a Princess, Ash began running towards the crypt. The crypt was guarded by Deadwood but seeing as the crypt had no door, only a giant empty space, he ran straight past the Deadwood, ignoring them.

“We have an unexpected guest.” The Necromancer said. The girl was still on the skeleton’s shoulder, covering her face. There were also three other skeletons, one of them was a red-boned one, the leader possibly. “Magically seal the door. Use the orbs to dispel it later. I am going to put her with the others.”

“Somebody! SAVE ME!!!!!!!!!!! Why are you doing this?!”

“Shhh. Your would-be hero will make a nice addition to my undead army. Mwhaha! So do not take him alive! Got that?”

All the skeletons said “ARRREEEEWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!” in response.

“Let’s go.”

Later on, the red skeleton was happy after doing his stuff.

“Double Bullseye! You would need two dispel orbs to open that!....I mean…. Areeewwweweww!”

Before it could do anything else, it turned into pieces by Ash and his Skull Sword. Ash ran towards the door and tried opening it but it was magically locked. He then noticed that there were two skeletons next to him. He destroyed them and then ran towards the room right of him. He destroyed the undead in his way and then saw another skeleton. He ran towards it but it was a trap.

He just noticed the big hole underneath him, and fell down to his death.

“Hey, it’s ok. I am fine. Something big and smooshy broke my fall. Sure is dark down here…. Hmmm, is there something breathing on my neck?”

The lights suddenly turned on and Ash saw what was breathing, it was a GIANT SPIDER! Ash began swinging his sword at it and before he himself could notice, the spider was dead, and sliced into a million pieces. He then noticed a black red-glowing orb behind him. He touched it and then it disappeared. He then proceeded to move into the next room.

He was back in front of the magically sealed door. He then went into the room left of him.

“What? This is just a supply closet. Woah….. these weapons are even worse than mine. Broken Sword of Junk….Backwards Axe of Self Mutilation…..A sack of Trobble pet food….Who needs that?...Oooh, now here is something interesting. The Sniffling Blade! The sniffling blade ‘nose’….when a monster is near…..”

The blade suddenly sneezed.

“Must have allergies.”

Ash threw it away.

“The Necromancer that lives here needs a raise…. Or maybe he should have thought to loot his undead soldiers. His loss is my gain!......Woah, what is this? Necromancy: Volume I ‘How to make your own friends’ Awww…..maybe he is just lonely. Necromancy: Volume II ‘Killing Princesses for fun and profit.’ ……This guy is sick….I have to stop him! I must save that girl!”

He opened the door but accidentally tripped on something. On whatever he tripped on, it suddenly disappeared, and the doors were unsealed. Ash proceeded through the door.

“HELP!” The girl cried out.

“Mwahahaha…. Yelling in here is futile. By now, your hero has been slain and turned into one of my undead troops.”

“But why? Why me? Why are you doing this?”

“The ultimate spell my master is preparing….requires the blood of a Darkovian Princess!”

“But I’m not-“

“Shh….. step back, the portal is opening.”

The Necromancer walked out of where he was standing and then a dark portal appeared on the floor where he just stood. A dark cloaked figure appeared out of the portal.

“Master, I have done thy bidding, behold…..I present the Princess of Darkovia!........Master?”

“The Necromancer who captures the Princess of Darkovia will be given the most sought after prize of our evil art….. I will teach them the language of darkness. BUT…..”

“M…m….aster?.....”

“The Princess of Darkovia is a brunette……”

The Necromancer was shocked.

“Worse yet, I detect a hero in your dungeon. Let me know how it turns out….”

The cloaked figure disappeared into the portal.

“ARGH! Impossible, you have magical royal blood in your veins! I sensed it with my magic…..and you mentioned your father’s knights….”

“But I am from-“

“QUIET!!!!!!!!!!!”

“Did I come at a bad time?” Ash had just entered the room.

“Enough…..Kill….Kill them all, starting with her!!!!!!!”

The huge numbers of undead screamed “ARRREEEWWWEEEEWWWEEWWW!!!!!!!” in response.

“Stop, I will not let you do it….” Ash then said. The Necromancer simply smirked.

“Haha….. KILL HER!” All the skeletons turned but before they could, Ash did something.

“NOOOOO!!!!!!! Vorpal ArchKnight weapon throw technique!!!!!!!”

Ash threw his sword and then it swung around the room like a super boomerang, whatever that was, but nothing happened.

“Hahaha! You missed!” The Necromancer shouted out. However, just then, all the skeletons were chopped into pieces.

“HOLY ZEUSTER!!!!!!!!!!! Grr…..HAH!” He fired a blue laser from his staff which hit the girl. The girl was then turned into ice.

“What? Freeze spell? That was supposed to be darkness……What else could go wrong today?”

“You are about to find out……”

The sword, which was still flying around, sliced the Necromancer’s staff in half, and then it exploded, along with the Necromancer.

“…..and I thought she was giving me the cold shoulder before.” Ash said as he stared at the now-frozen girl. “She is frozen solid.”

Ash thought hard.

“In all the fairy tales the hero kisses the Princess to save her! Maybe I should try that….but then again, it is not nice to kiss someone you do not know. But if she is a Princess and I save her….her father would make me a Knight! OK Princess…. here we go!”

Ash kissed the Princess, but the ice was still in the way, and the ice stuck to Ash’s lips. Ash began struggling.

“Wuh Woa……Wy wips are fwozen…..WY WIPS ARE FWOZEN! WELP! Wombody welp we! Wy wips are fwozen to the wincwess!”

A while later......

“Whis is weally weally cwold! Welp? ….Wanywody?”

Chapter 2: Destroy the three Necromancers!

“Artix has informed me of your friend’s issue. I believe I can help.” Warlic said. Warlic wore a blue robe and had white hair. Ash somehow escaped from his ‘frozen problem’ and somehow brought the frozen girl along with himself to Falconreach, which was very far from Darkovia. “First though, there are three necromancers in the surrounding area whose magic are disrupting my own. You must venture forth and defeat them if I am able to help you save the girl.”

Ash was standing in a forest full of trees made of bone, apparently the place of the first Necromancer, Klaatu. There were skeletons patrolling the area, which were all defeated upon contact with Ash, though it wasn’t just like that. Ash was searching around the forest, searching for Klaatu. He found a crypt, and walked inside it.

He quickly ran past the skeletons before they could notice. He was walking through a bunch a books like ‘How to rule the world’ and ‘How to build your own bride’ until he saw a Diploma.

“I guess this is a Diploma from Necro U? This guy might be tough if he’s educated in this stuff. I’d better be ready for anything…….. I really hope I don’t have to fight his undead girlfriend.”

“Meh eh eh eh! It is nearly complete…… my GREATEST creation!!!!!!!!!” Klaatu shouted out. His face was covered by some sort of mask, and he wore a black robe with purple trims complete with a hood. “Meh eh…. It will run faster than a hasted Frogzard! It will rip apart buildings with its powerful attacks! It will fly higher than a phoenix! It will even cut through dragons! And it is already dead….SO IT CANNOT BE KILLED! MEH EH EH EH EH EH! I AM A GENIOUS! A GENIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!”

“Genius, you mean.” Ash said.

“….hmm?”

Ash saw the giant undead giant and Klaatu.

“Un….HOLY MOLEY!”

“I love you, schmoookey pookie-poo.”

“BLAAAARRRGGGHHHHH”

“BAD!” Ash covered his face. “BAD! BAD! BAD!!!!!!!!!!”

The Necromancer only just noticed Ash. “Meh? How did you get in here!?”

“Are you Klaatu, the Necromancer?”

“If you have come to stop me…… you are TOO LATE! In just a few minutes, I will bring my newest creation to LIFE!.....and the WORLD WILL SEE MY GENIOUS!”

“Genius.”

“No more laughing at my creations….THEY WILL ALL BOW DOWN BEFORE MY GREATNESS!”

“Um….alright….Hey, you know that leg looks a bit wobbly.”

“Meh…?”

Ash walked towards the enormous lifeless skeleton and kneeled down. “Here, I can fix it.”

“Wait! What are you doing!? Stay away from that!”

“This leg bone is just a little loose, let me fix it for you….”

“Nononononononononono!”

Ash accidentally removed the leg bone and then the entire skeleton came tumbling down into pieces. Klaatu was super furious.

“ARGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MY MONSTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

“Whoops?”

“I am going to use YOUR body parts to build the next one!”

“Have you ever considered therapy?”

“DIE!!!!!!!!!!”

Klaatu fired lots of black magic at Ash but Ash dodged them all, save for one, which hit Klaatu. Ash jumped and slashed at Klaatu but Klaatu blocked it with his staff, which was cut in half. Ash quickly jumped on Klaatu’s head and was able to grab one of the pillars right before the staff exploded, taking Klaatu with it, and thus the first Necromancer was destroyed.

Sometime later…..

Ash was now in a dark forest, the home of the second Necromancer, Verata. There were plants made of bones and there were giant spiders and Deadwoods in his way, but they were all defeated.

After a while……

“Hmmm………Yep, it’s another dead end. And those things are really creepy. Like, REALLY. But Verata has to be around somewhere…..I’m hungry. I wonder if the mushrooms are edible.”

Ash picked up a nearby mushroom and was about to eat it when….

“…Did that tree just…Nah…..” Ash was about to bite it when a twig from the tree began moving. The tree was a Deadwood.

“Uh…..Oops. Here! Look, I’m putting it back!” Ash began slowly putting the mushroom onto the ground.

“Easy does it……”

“GRAAARRRGGHHHH!!!!!!!”

“AHH!” Ash dropped the mushroom onto the ground.

“HEY! NO FAIR!”

Ash was captured by the Deadwood and it was bringing him somewhere.

“So……You’re probably not taking me back to Falconreach, are you?”

After a while, the Deadwood, still holding Ash, presented him to a Necromancer, Verata. He too, was wearing a black robe. His eyes were glowing red and his staff had a decayed skull on it.

“Meh heh heh…. Do not be frightened, his bark is worse than his bite.”

“Good! Does that mean you’re going to let me go then?”

“Hahaha….NO! Wood you like to see what I have in store for you?”

“Hey! Let me out of there, now!”

“Do not be such a sap. See these Soul Orbs behind me? They come from wood-be heroes like yourself.”

A leaf fell from a tree and once it hit the ground, one of the glowing orbs, which were Soul Orbs, engulfed it.

“I steal souls and use them to create powerful creatures!” The Soul Orb then transformed into a Deadwood. “A cute little fellow, isn’t he? Hahahaha!”

“So you must be the Necromancer Verata….”

“Correct. You could say I am the root of all evil here. Trying to figure out why? You look stumped…..”

Ash sighed at these stupid puns.

“Not all Necromancers play with the undead…..By using the power of souls, I can create monsters out of anything! All of the trees, kresh spiders, and vampire bats are my handy-work. Soon my minions will branch out taking over all of Darkovia!”

“Alright, I cannot take these puns anymore!! ArchKnight ultimate jump spinning kick slash technique!!!”

Ash jumped out of the Deadwood’s grasp and kicked it, which destroyed it. Verata screamed, “NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!”

“Oh yes.”

Ash jumped again and tried to kick the Necromancer but Verata blocked it with his staff before firing black magic at Ash, which Ash couldn’t dodge. Ash went flying into the air but managed to, before he hit the ground, jump from a tree and went flying at Verata. He prepared his sword and immediately sliced it into two, right before hitting a tree in front of him.

The staff exploded, taking Verata with it, and thus, the second Necromancer was destroyed.

Even more time later……………..

Ash was now in another forest. This one was peaceful, unlike the other two forests. This was the home of the last Necromancer, and once he was defeated, Warlic would be able to unfreeze the princess, if she was a princess. Ash began fighting his way through skeletons and bats before entering a grave with a Crypt at the end guarded by an undead black Knight.

“Who goes there? No living thing may enter the crypt of the Necromancer Nicto. Leave…..while you still can…. I was once a brave adventurer like thyself and quested to defeat the Necromancer Nicto…. However, he defeated me and then used his evil magic to make me….. like this….. Now, I am forced by magic to guard this crypt for all eternity…..Why am I able to talk, you ask? Necromancers fear when their minions can think and express themselves….. Thus they have imposed a rule that we may not speak…. I am still human enough to remember. To lift my curse, you must defeat me in battle. Only then will I be free from Nicto’s control. Beware…. If you fail, you will end up a servant of Nicto yourself… just as I am.”

The undead warrior stood firm but was destroyed under his own request by Ash before he could react. Ash continued to go into the crypt, he obviously didn’t listen to the skeleton at all. Ash fought through bats and skeletons and went through a long hallway.

A Necromancer, Nicto smirked. He was wearing a black robe with golden trims. His face was covered by a hood

“So…. The time has finally come. I have spent the last fifteen years preparing for this day…..The day where I escape my mortality….”

Nicto had a group of warrior undead each in a position while Nicto himself was in the middle of them.

“I will become an undead wizard….a Liche……And I shall live forever. Then, with far superior magic abilities, I will raise an even larger army. Yes…..This is the moment I become immortal…..”

All four undead warriors rose their hand and their hand began glowing along with Nicto himself. Nicto rose his staff in the air and began chanting words. The first undead warrior’s hand shot a light at Nicto. Then the second light hit him

“This is it…..I am about to become a Liche, and then this land will know true fear…. Heh.”

Nicto continued to chant and the third light hit him.

“Woah, it is pretty bright in here.” Ash said.

Suddenly, before the fourth light could hit Nicto, all four skeletons broke into pieces.

“YOU FOOL!” Nicto shouted. He was super furious, perhaps even more furious than the other two Necromancers who were also super furious because of Ash.

“Whoops.”

Meanwhile, in another part of Darkovia…..

Twilly, the red moglin and trustable friend said “Wow! What a wonderful day outside!..... Hmm?”

A light appeared above him. Twilly’s pupils shrank.

“Oh….my….stick…..” The light hit him and Twilly was sent flying into the air. While flying, Twilly shouted out “Ooooo lookie! Twilly can see Yulgar’s Inn from up here!”

Back at the crypt……..

“AARGH!” Nicto was shaking with anger. “IT TOOK ME FIFTEEN YEARS TO PREPARE THIS RITUAL!”

“Do you happen to be Nicto, the Liche?” Ash asked.

“You have just ruined my life’s work. I am NOT a LICHE. Now I just have a really bad dry skin problem.”

“Oh? Dang…..Slaying a liche would have been great for my list of credentials. Are you sure you are not a Liche?”

“YES! I am absolutely certain I am not a Liche.”

“Oh…..alright. Bye.”

“You are not escaping here without fighting ME!”

Nicto immediately fired a fireball from his staff. Ash barely dodged it before using his sword to hit it back at Nicto. The fireball hit Nicto and it put him on fire. Luckily, the staff exploded before Nicto could die a painful death, and thus the final Necromancer was destroyed.

The final while of the chapter…….

Twilly was sitting down.

“Hmm….Yep, she is definitely fwozen…..”

“It’s alright, my friend.” Warlic said. “I have completed the counter spell to unfreeze this girl-“

“You mean, Princess….” Ash corrected him.

“Pwincess?” Twilly was confused and shocked. So was Yulgar and also Aria, who seemed kinda angry about it.

“Are you certain she is a Princess?” Yulgar asked.

“Of course she is! And her father will Knight me for saving her!”

Ash was smiling happily. Twilly hugged him, or rather, his legs. “Awwww…. Twillies is so happies for you!”

“WHAT?!” Aria seemed kinda furious. “How can you know that for sure?! I mean….why do you want to save some silly Princess anyway….I am much more prettier than she is….”

Aria turned away and began sobbing. Ash, Warlic, and Twilly were speechless.

“Oooo….Kay….” Warlic then said. “Please focus on the matter at hand. This requires complete-”

“OUCH!” Yulgar screamed out.

“Yulgar? What happened?!”

“….I hit my thumb with my mallet…..this helmet is tough.”

“….Must we be smithing at this very moment? I mean, how the heck did you drag that anvil all the way over here?”

“I am a very dedicated blacksmith!”

“Huh?” Ash said.

Warlic, then seeing and wanting no more delays, began.

“Alright then…. Let us begin!”

Warlic began charging his power before stabbing his staff into the ground. After a while, he noticed what was wrong.

“I left the spell in my tent.” A fire orb then came out of Warlic’s own orb. “Aria, would you hold this pure fire orb forme until I get back?”

Aria, who stopped sobbing, grabbed the fire orb and began staring at it.

“Thank you, I will be returning shortly.” Warlic said before disappearing.

“That was odd.” Yulgar then said.

“That is ok, I am finally going to save a real Princess!” Ash was very excited, though Aria didn’t seem so happy.

Aria grumbled for a bit before throwing the fire orb away, accidentally hitting Ash in the head.

“Hey! What did you do that for?” Ash was rubbing his head.

“The orb! Quick, pick it up before it gets dirty!” Yulgar shouted out.

“Huh? Oh…” Ash picked it up. “Uh oh….it has a whole bunch of rocks and stones in it…”

“Before Warlic gets back, be sure to-“

“I apologize for the wait, thank you.” Warlic appeared in front of the frozen girl and grabbed the dirty fire orb, obviously not noticing it was dirty.

“Where were we…..Ah yes…..” Warlic began charging his magic again.

“Um, Warlic….”

“With this pure orb of fire, I weave my enchantment!” The fire orb flew into the sky.

“Um, Warlic…….”

“Mah dna sgge neerg ekil ton od!”

“Oh no, oh no, oh no!”

“Ma I mas meht ekil ton od I!”

The dirty fire orb crashed into the frozen princess, unfreezing her safely.

“You saved me!” The girl cried out.

“Hi! Are you a Princess? What is your name?” Ash asked out, very excited.

“Warlic, there were rocks in the fire orb you used…” Aria said. Warlic was surprised, shocked, and worried.

“Hmm, I feel a little funny. Why do I feel so heavy? My name is…..” Before she could finish, she turned into stone. Everyone was surprised and worried.

“Not. Fair.” Ash said, feeling very ashamed and angry.

“Interesting…” Warlic said.

“Oh no! She turned to stone!”

“Princess turned to stone… I heard a story like this once. Kiss her, boy!” Yulgar said.

“WHAT?!?!?!” Aria shouted out, very furious, probably more than the three Necromancers combined.

“Yulgar might be onto something here….. give it a try, adventurer.”

“Are you sure this is a good idea?” Ash then asked.

“It will be just like a fairy tale, lad!” Was Yulgar’s response.

“NOOOO!!!!” Was Aria’s response.

“Sure a little kissy never hurt anybodies!” Was Twilly’s response.

Without another choice, Ash closed his eyes and kissed her. But then the statue fell down and broke into pieces.

“That sounded pretty bad….” Ash noticed he knocked down the staue. “OH NO……I just broke the princess!”

A little while later, while nobody was there……

Aria was very furious with the broken-down stone person. She kicked the stone chest and it broke into even more pieces. She then walked away.

Chapter 3: Save a Princess!

“I’m sorry, Ash. Neither Artix nor I have been able to find any information on your mystery girl. If she is a princess, no one has reported her missing. I think it’s much more likely that she’s just a girl who got lost in the woods. If you’re still looking to save a princess though, I know of someone who might be able to help you, Ash. Head over to the eastern park, you’ll find her there.”

A while later…….

When Ash arrived at the eastern park, he was surprised. He was expecting Valencia or Robina, but not the Hero herself! The Hero wore a complex silver armor, that of the Dragonlords. She had short blue hair and was wielding…..a Doom Sword? Maybe so, but the Hero knows what she’s doing…..right? The Hero turned towards Ash and gave a smile, Ash felt honored.

“WOW! Are you the Hero who’s going to help me become a knight?”

“I’ll do what I can. I was about to head out on a quest now. There’s a cave of basilisks that needs to be cleared out. They’ve been fighting with a local tribe of faeries, many of which have royal blood, so you might be able to save a princess there.”

“Wow, thanks! Do you think we might be able to find something to help the girl in the woods too? She….she kinda had a little accident after she turned into stone…..”

“Oh! Wow….We can probably collect some basilisk mucus to glue her back together.”

“Mucus…ewwww…..”

“Trust me, that stuff is as sticky as anything. It’ll get her put back together no problem.”

“If you say so……”

A while later…..

Ash stared in awe as The Hero simply swung her DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM sword, sending huge waves of darkness which sent Basilisks flying and others running for their lives. Ash didn’t do any fighting. All he did was drag all the dead basilisks in a pile and watch in awe at the Hero’s tremendous strength.

Every now and then, a dark portal would appear behind the Hero and DOOOOOOOOOOOM knives were sent flying at every basilisk in sight from the portal, which was so accurate, all of the knives were headshots. Ash didn’t dare stare directly at their poor, guilty faces.

Finally, there was only one basilisk left and it was guarding a cage with a light in it. The last basilisk was huge. The Hero lied down against a wall and said “It’s all yours, best save the best for last, right?”

“Right.”

Ash charged towards the basilisk, jumped onto its head, covered its eyes, and stabbed it. Ash seemed to have forgotten about the cage. He dragged with all his might the basilisk’s body towards the pile and then ran back to the Hero and opened the cage. The light flew out.

“Wow, look! It’s a faery princess! We saved her and now I’ll get to be a knight for real!”

“Um, Ash…..”

“It’ll be awesome, we’ll go to the faerie court and her Dad will grant me a knighthood!”

“Ash, it’s not a princess!”

“And then….wait, what?”

“It’s a faerie prince, not a princess.”

“Oh, sorry there, I just, well, you’re so tiny…..I….”

The light flew away.

“Oh well, at least we got enough mucus to glue that girl back together……….”

Later on…………………

Ash was sticking the princess back together with the mucus he got from the cave. After a while he said,

“There, finally done!”

Warlic looked at the statue and noticed something very unobvious. “Um, Ash, you might want to stand back and check your work…..”

“Huh? ......Oh darn it……”

The head of the princess was stuck on backwards. Ash sighed.

“I guess I have to do this over…..”

The next day……….

“Ash, I’ve heard of another princess that we can try to rescue. A princess disappeared in the depths of Doomwood several years ago.” The Hero said. “I believe the Yaga Sisters have her prisoner or at least can give us some information as to her whereabouts. While we’re there, we can see if they have a potion or spell that reverses the stone curse as well.”

A while later………….

Ash walked into the Stone Hedge, where they say the Yaga sisters dwell, and they do. The Hero and Ash fought their way through giant bats towards the center.

Once they got to the center, they saw the seven ugly green-skinned Yaga sisters.

“Why do you bother us, heroes? We have left your precious Thursday alone…”

“Even the Savage Outworlder no longer heeds our summons once you defeated him.”

“Savage Outworlder?” Ash was confused.

“Never mind that.”

“EH?!”

“I’m sorry, um…..miss? We come in peace.”

“Do you seek information? Hahaha! Why should we help you at all?”

“EH?! SPEAK UP, SONNY!”

“We seek a princess!”Ash shouted out loud. “Er…. I mean, we’re looking for one! To….uhh…..Save.”

“A princess? That is what you seek? Musuk……He’s looking for a princess, my dear.”

“Yes, I heard, sister.” The Yaga sisters were smiling.

“A princess, yes, we know of one, but she doesn’t need saving, hahaha.”

“Doesn’t need saving? What have you done to her?!” Ash seemed mad.

“Nothing, little one. She doesn’t need saving because she’s right where she wants to be.”

“Where she wants to be?”

“Yes.” The Yaga sister took out a royal artifact from her cloak. It was of pure gold and was engraved with an M. “I came to Doomwood on my own, and wish to stay and pursue…….fun……with my found sisters. I’m sorry, little hero, but I have no desire to be ‘saved’.”

“Ohhhh….I don’t get it.”

“It’s a royal crest.”

“Wait, that means….”

“…That she’s a princess, yep.” Ash began staring at the once-princess Yaga sister.

“What?”

“…..Yikes.”

“Sorry, Ash…..maybe they know of something that can help your friend though.”

“Oh! Do you think you can help her? She’s kinda…… Well….kinda wrong right now.” Ash took out the stone head of the girl from his inventory.

A while later, after some talk………….

“You sure this is going to work?” Ash asked. The Yaga sisters were behind a pillar, probably to protect themselves from any explosion that might take place.

“Just follow the ingredients as we instructed, boy.”

“Here we go….”

Ash took an eyeball and dropped it into the cauldron. The he took a potion and poured it into the cauldron. Afterwards, he took a heart and dropped it into the cauldron. He began mixing it and after a while, it was finished. He took out an empty potion bottle and filled it with the green liquid inside the cauldron.

The next day…………

He then stood in front of the reassembled stoned girl and looked back at the green stuff.

“Ok, here goes! I guess I just pour it over her head…..” Ash poured the potion over the head of the statue. Then, the statue turned normal again.

“GAH! I think I’m blind!”

“You sav-…..Ribbit?” The girl suddenly disappeared into nothingness.

“Huh?” Ash then noticed something. It was a frog, and not just a frog, but the girl!

“OH NO!” He picked up the frog and stared at it. “Eww, you’re all slimy!”

The frog glared at him. “Um, I mean beautiful. Yeah…..But…..maybe if I kiss her…” Ash kissed the frog but nothing happened. The Hero sighed.

“Sorry, Ash, looks like you’re going to need to find a Prince for this one….”

“But, I want to save her….”

The next day……………………..

“Ash, Yulgar’s has news of another princess! He’s hired a tribe from the southern jungles to help bring in ore and exotic wood for weapons. The leader’s daughter has gone missing. If you’re ready, we can venture into the jungle and save her!”

A while later…………………

Ash was in this overgrown forest place where the trees were over ten stories high. Ash and the Hero fought their way through swamp creatures, masked blobs, and harpies, searching for the missing princess. After a while, they found her.

“Wait….you….you’re a princess?” Ash said. The princess wasn’t what he expected. It was a fat muscled greenish blue skinned cyclops-thing.

“Sloosh-slosh-soooooooch.”

“Um…..I’ll take that as a yes. I’ll save you from these other ooga-booga guys. I bet your tribe is around here somewhere…..” The princess began shaking her head in fear.

“SLOOOOSH-slosh—SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH!!!!”

“Great, let’s go.”

A while later……..

Ash returned the princess to her father and the tribe.

“Um, yeah, I think……I think that this is your princess?”

The father began nodding quickly.

“Squelsh-sooch—sloooch”

“Oh good!” Ash raised his hands in the air, cheerful. “I’m so glad I found the right tribe! I’ve done it, I’ve finally saved a…uh well…..I’m not sure what she is, but she’s a princess! Now her father will make me a……….a….An ooga-booga knight!”

Just then, some of the tribe grabbed the princess and quickly began carrying her to the volcano, and the tribe followed. Then, the father kicked her into the volcano. The tribe then returned.

“I….um….did……did you just toss her into the volcano?”

“Squish-slooosh-slooosh!”

“Ok…..I didn’t save her then.”

The next day….

“Princess Slushroom has been kidnapped! We have to save her!” The Hero called out. Ash immediately jumped to his feet, he was ready. He bought himself a brand new weapon from Yulgar’s, The Noble Sword.

A while later…………

Ash was inside a peaceful forest, full of flesh-eating mushrooms, which he and the Hero kept on defeating. They fought their way towards the castle and then entered it. They began searching around the castle. Then, Ash found a strange flower.

“WOW! This flower is beautiful! Maybe it’ll cheer up the mystery girl…. She doesn’t seem to enjoy being a frog…..” Ash picked up the flower and put it in his inventory.

Ash and the Hero continued to storm their way through the giant castle before reaching the final room. In the final room was a giant orange turtle. As soon as Ash and the Hero entered, the turtle shouted “FUNGUS! My plans are foiled again!” before running away.

The mushroom said something in a language Ash was able to understand. Its translation was “Thank you, Ash, but our princess is in another castle!”

“I….Seriously?!” Ash facepalmed himself. “You couldn’t even have told me that 2, 3, even 5 minutes ago? And have you been watching the entire time? You couldn’t help out? I mean, you’re a retainer, but man, I know you fungi types have some moves…”

The mushroom said something in response in a language Ash was able to understand. Its translation was “Sheesh…give me a break here. I forgot my bazooka at home!”

That night………………….

“Here you go.”

“Twillies hasn’t ever seen a flower like this before….”

“I found this in the Slushroom castle and thought that it would cheer you up.” The frog girl immediately stuck out her tongue and ate it. “Oh….I….I didn’t think you’d eat it….”

The frog then transformed back into a girl again. She smiled at Ash.

“Oh, wow! It must have been a magic flower!”

The girl tried to speak but something was wrong. She couldn’t speak. Ash confused this as something else and was able to kiss the girl when a fireball came from her mouth and hit Ash. She was furious and he was smoking, literally.

“That wasn’t exactly how I imagined it…..”

A while later……..

“Ow. Well, at least you’re human again…… frog wasn’t your best look.” He regretted his words as soon as he said them.

“Ash…..” Yulgar said.

“RUN!” Twilly shouted out. Ash began running away as fast as possible. The girl was shooting fireballs from her mouth all directed at Ash.

“AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don’t hurt me! Please! ………………Stop shooting fireballs at me!!!! ………………..Ok, I’m sorry for trying to kiss you all those times!....wait, what’s that look? Oh no, you thought it was only twice, didn’t you…..AAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Several hours later………

“Phew, ok, I think I lost her.” Ash just noticed where he was. He was in a deep pit. “Now, which way is ………uh, out?”

Ash began exploring the area and after a while, something tripped him.

“OWWWW! Why would somebody leave this STUPID junk lying around?!”

Ash looked at the thing which tripped him. It was a skeleton of a fallen warrior.

“Oh…. Guess he didn’t have much choice.” Ash got up and then picked up some of the armor the warrior once wore.

“Actually….. It’s not bad.”

Chapter 4 FINAL: Become the ArchKnight!

Ash was now in shining armor, well, not COMPLETE shining armor. It only covered his chest, shoulders, hands, elbows, feet, and knees.

“I’m going to talk with Warlic, Ash, and see if we can figure out a way to help your fiery friend. In the meantime, maybe you should head over and see Twilly. He’s been working on his healing magic.”

Meanwhile….

“OK, Dr. Twillies is in! What seems to be the twouble?”

“Well, we were on our way back from Oaklore…..”

“….And we came to the old bridge…”

“You know the old bridge…..”

“I thinks so….”

“…so yeah, we were crossing the bridge, and all of a sudden…”

“…I tripped over a GREAT BIG STINKY…..”

“..UGLY Hydra!”

Twilly gasped.

“Just sitting there!”

“In the MIDDLE of the bridge!”

“I tripped and went over my ankle.”

“Who would just leave it there?”

“Hmm….this is a pwoblem. This is the third case of hydra ankle owie-it is syndrome this month….. Which one was it?”

“This one…..” The woman rose his broken ankle. “Is there anything you can do?”

“Hmmmm………You just let Dr. Twillies handle this.” Twilly casted a light from his staff directed at the broken ankle, and dwala! “How’s that feel?”

“It feels…..Hey, wow! It feels great! THANKS!”

“Thanks Twiily, you’re the best!”

“Ah-ah-ah, that’s Dr. Twilly today.”

Suddenly, an explosion came from behind Twilly. “Uh ohs….I think Cysero ‘sploded something again…..”

Twilly turned, only to see Ash with a smoking head. “Oh Ash, it’s you! No luck with your girlfriend?”

“…Nope….” Twilly used his magic to heal Ash. “Thanks. She’s still as fiery as ever.”

Another explosion came from behind Ash, he turned around, shaking.

“Ah, Twillies is sorry. I wish I could heal your voice, but it’s not hurting you…. So it’s not something to heal. There has to be some bright side…”

“You never need a match again!”

The girl opened her mouth.

“Ehem…. Um…..” Ash ran away as fast as possible. The girl chased him, shooting fireballs at him.

“Oi.” Twilly then said.

Sometime later…………….

The girl was still shooting fireballs at Ash and Ash was still on the run.

“Um, Ash….?” The Hero said. The Hero and Warlic were there.

“Wwoooohhhh, Twillies is getting dizzy!”

“Ahem.” Warlic said. “Ash….The Hero and I have been talking and may have found the solution to the….fire issue.”

“The best way to combat fire is with ice. I think you’ll be able to find a cure in the Frozen North.”

“You will have to be very careful, the north is home to many dangerous species. But one might hold the cure, as most of the monsters in that area have developed natural ways to combat fire.”

“There is also a legend amongst the Killguins, one of the northen tribes. It tells of a princess frozen deep within a cave that’s guarded by frost wisps. They say on very cold nights, you can hear her singing echo out of cave and that she sings about wanting to finally see the sun.”

“If the wisps are keeping her frozen, then you might be able to use one to freeze the fire out of your friend.”

“We’ll head north then! There’s a Princess to save! ......And you’ll finally be able to tell us where you’re from!”

A few days of travelling later………….

Ash and the girl were now in an ice cave. The Hero couldn’t come because she had to find the Water Orb, before Sepulchure finds it first. Ash and the girl fought their way through frozen wisps, ice elementals, and blobs.

“Thanks for coming with me. I just wish….”

“……”

“I….I guess what I am trying to say is…….”

“……..”

“Can….Do you think you could maybe try to keep up? You’re lagging behind a bit.”

The girl immediately fired a fireball at Ash and Ash started running.

“Ahahaha! I was just kidding! Can’t you take a joke?!”

The girl grinned.

A few minutes later……….

“Shh, there she is!”

Ash and the girl were now at the end of the frozen cave. Sitting on a pile of ice was a princess. She was wearing a tiara that was so frozen, it looked like it was made of ice and her royal clothes too looked like they were made of snow. Her skin was very white. She was staring at the roof of the cave.

“She looks so sad.” The girl nodded. “How do we unfreeze her…..?”

Ash turned to the girl, to see if she had any ideas, but she didn’t.

“Hmm…..” Ash turned to the ice princess and then to the girl and then to the ice princess again and then to the girl again. He got an idea. He brought the girl closer to the princess, and then touched something of the girl’s. She got mad and fired another fireball at him, but he dodged and the fireball hit the frozen princess.

It made the frozen princess bounce around the room, and the frozen princess was as still as a statue. Ash and the girl looked at her. Then she turned into nothingness.

“She…….Uh oh…..”

The girl facepalmed herself. Then, suddenly, the ghost of the frozen princess appeared right out of where she disappeared. She stared at Ash and the girl before smiling and then flying up to the small crack in the roof which revealed sunlight. She dropped a tear which the girl grabbed. The tear was glowing, and it looked like it was frozen, because it was.

The ice princess then disappeared into the crack and the tear floated into the girl’s mouth, extinguishing the fire within.

“Whoa….” Ash then said.

“I…… Ash?” The tear worked. She could speak again. And she was smiling.

“You can talk!”

“Ash, I-“

The roof started shaking and then Ash and the girl looked up at it.

“Figures…..”

Lots of snow fell from the roof which hit the girl and Ash hard. Once Ash and the girl came out of the snow, he said “Ow…..Are you, ok, uh……well, what’s your name?”

“I….I don’t remember…. Who…. Who are you?” The snow gave her amnesia.

“….” Ash dived back into the snow and gave a muffled scream of rage.

Later that day………

Ash and the girl who now has amnesia were still in the frozen north. Ash made a fire to warm them up.

“…….”

“Think reaaaaaaally hard! You don’t remember anything? At all?”

“…………………….. Nothing, I have no idea who you are, who I am, or what we’re doing in the middle of nothing!”

“Wow….It’s just…since we’ve met, you’ve been a mystery.”

“……”

“Now you can actually talk and you still can’t tell me anything…..You don’t remember any of our adventures together? First there was this stupid necro guy…….”

‘I’m a big stupid head and I catched you!’

‘HHHEEEEELLLLPPPPP!!!!!!’

‘Hahaha! You cannot escape my craziness!’

‘OH NO! If only some big strong adventurer would save me!’

Something then happened.

‘…huh?’

All the skeletons were destroyed.

‘Booya.’

‘Check out all his majesty!’

‘Uh….HEEELLLPPP!!!!’ The Necromancer ran away.

‘My hero!’

“Then I saved you a bunch of times…And then I had face some TERRIFYING challenges…..And then a bunch of un-important stuff happened….I won’t bore you with the details….”

“I’m sorry, Ash, but I just don’t remember…..That all sounds so amazing though…..I….I want to keep fighting, to join you on your quest. Maybe something along the way will trigger my memory, but until then, can I adventure with you?”

“Of course! And I think I now the perfect spot for our first adventure, too…..”

A while later……….

Ash and the girl were now back in the place where they first met, in front of the nameless Necromancer’s crypt in Darkovia.

“Do you remember this place?”

“No…. I’m sorry. I’m trying, I really am.”

“Come on…….”

They smiled at each other and then went off.

Ash and the girl, who could still fire fireballs from her mouth but could now control, fought their way through skeletons who were holding weak copies of the Doom Weapons, though they weren’t strong enough to overpower the group. Ash and the girl got to the crypt, which was guarded by skeletons, but the door was no longer magically sealed. They fought off the skeletons and then went inside the room.

“Muahahahahahahahahaha!” The Necromancer shouted. He apparently survived his previous encounter with Ash. He was casting a spell. And there was a dark portal in front of him which had a sword floating above it. Apparently, he was trying to create a Doom Weapon. “Meheheheh…..Weeheehee!”

“You!” Ash shouted out. The Necromancer was surprised. Ash and the girl walked into the room. “What…what are you doing?”

“YOU! You DARE come back here and disturb my work AGAIN? Your’s and your girlfriend’s meddling sets me back YEARS! ……Meh heh…..My power has grown, boy, you won’t defeat me again.”

“I beat you once…..And I can do it again!”

Ash charged at the Necromancer but the Necromancer quickly fired a red laser at Ash. Ash was sent flying into the wall and then so was the girl, she was hit by a laser too. The Necromancer squeezed his hand hard and a portal appeared in front of Ash. The Devil’s head and claws came out of it and it attacked Ash. It hurt a lot.

The girl fired fireballs at the Necromancer but he simply used darkness to shield himself. Ash got a surprise attack on him but it was no use. The Necromancer fired a laser at Ash which sent him flying into the wall. Ash was able to jump from the wall and attempted to slice the Necromancer’s staff just like he did before but instead of the staff slicing in half, his Noble Sword snapped and then the Necromancer sent an explosion at Ash, sending both Ash and the girl flying into the wall once more. They were defeated.

Ash just saw the Necromancer’s staff. It looked so dark, it looked like it was made from pure darkness and shadows, probably because it WAS made of pure darkness and shadows.

“HAHAHA! I told you, child! My power has grown! Soon, I will become more powerful than Sepulchure! The creation of these lesser Doom Weapons are only the beginning….”

“Doom Weapons?!”

“I’ve merged souls from the darkness plane with enough weapons for an army! HAHAHAHAHAH! A wave of darkness will sweep over this land!”

“I….I will stop you!”

“You are insignificant now. The only thing that can stop me is the Blade of Destiny, which can only be wielded by a Knight! Now begone, it’s time for me to begin raising my army!”

The Necromancer rose his staff and then an enormous hand came out of the portal, grabbed Ash, and threw him out of the crypt. Then the same hand threw out the girl.

“That didn’t go so well, huh?”

“Not so much….”

Ash got to his feet and tried to open the door to the crypt, but it was locked.

“We’re locked out….”

“What do we do now?”

The next day, early in the morning…….

Ash and Twilly were sleeping on a tree. Apparently, there was nowhere else to sleep, and the inn is only for knights, which is odd.

“…………yhrmmmm…..zZzz….biscuits….zzz”

Just then, many knights on horses went straight past Ash.

“…..loud biscuits?”

Some more knights went past Ash which made Ash wake up.

“Huh? What’s going on? Twilly, do you have any idea what is happening? …..Twilly?”

Twilly was still sleeping.

“Mmm…..I like the loud biscwuits…but they make my ears jingle…..”

“Hey, thunderhead, are you coming with me to see what’s going on or not?”

Twilly just woke up and then looked at Ash, “Sure, Ashies….wait…where are we going?”

“Just come on, something’s going on!”

“Do they have some biscwuits there? Twillies has a craving-“

“I’m leaving without you.”

Twilly got to his feet, “Twillies is coming!”

Ash and Twilly walked to the center, where they have apparently forgotten about the girl, who was missing, her hat-hood thing was left behind.

The Inn Keeper, Serenity, was out. She was wondering why the knights have gathered.

“What’s going on?” She asked.

Captain Rolith, leader of the Knights of Oaklore, was talking to the Potions Master and Vet.

“We ride to Alteon.” He said to them.

“What happened though? Why are you all gathering?”

“The King’s daughter was kidnapped last night.”

“Aye, Princess Brightquartz was taken as well. All that was left were the remains of the darkness portal she was taken through.”

“King Alteon’s daughters are among the kidnapped as well. His royal mages sent out the message to gather at his court to begin the search.”

“The princesses could be anywhere though….”

“The portal remains traced back to this region. It was too far decayed to know exactly where, but the princesses are somewhere nearby.”

“The horses are rested. We need to move on to Swordhaven.”

Ash and Twilly listened to the entire conversation.

“….”

“What is it, Ashy?”

A while later……….

Ash knew exactly where they were taken. Ash was now back inside the crypt. He didn’t enter the Necromancer’s room, otherwise he would be alerted to him. He entered a room, which was filled with twenty-four princesses, he counted. And among them was the girl.

“Hey, there you are!” Ash shouted. He ran over to the girl. “Hey, are you ok? ……..HellllooooOOoooooo…….I’m going to kiiiiiiiiiiiisssssssssss you if you don’t wake uUUuuupp………….Really? Nothing? ……….Wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up! ……….Hmm…..” Ash then noticed someone else among the princesses.

“Hey, is that Robina?”

Ash ran over to her.

“Robina? Hey, wake up! …..Not her too…..ARGH! What has he done? …..Well, if they can’t walk out on their own, I’m going to carry them.”

Several hours after carrying all twenty-four heavy princesses…….

Ash was shaking the girl.

“Hey, come on…wake up already! …..It’s going to be a looooooooong trip back to Falconreach if I have to carry them all….”

Suddenly, a dark portal appeared near Ash and Death arose from it. Ash was scared, and shaking. Death wore an extremely old cloak which covered his entire body save for his hand holding his scythe. His hand was that of bone and his scythe was as big as big as Ash.

“It is not your time yet, boy, but the girl must come with me.”

The girl was covered in a purple aura and floated into the air. Ash forgot about his fear and faced Death.

“No! NO! You can’t take her! She’s my friend!”

“Friend? Death knows no friends, only time. And hers is up.”

“Why? Leave her, she’s done nothing to you. Please!”

“This is a favor you can’t cash in, commoner.”

And so Death and the girl disappeared into the Realm of Death. Ash was very furious.

“NOOOO!!!!!”

Suddenly, a blue moglin, THE blue moglin, the NECROMANCER moglin, Zorbak appeared.

“Whoa, what is it? Naptime?” He asked.

“It’s all the kidnapped Princesses. I carried them from the Necromancer’s dungeon.”

Zorbak was surprised. “You saved all these princesses?!? You don’t look like a Knight.”

“I’m not.”

“Heh, when you return, you will be.”

“I can’t, I have to save her, I have to save my friend.”

“Weelll…. I could take them back for you….”

Ash nodded and then jumped into the portal before it closed.

“Not even Death will stop me. I’ve gotta save her.”

Ash then disappeared into the portal.

Zorbak looked at the princesses and took out some kind of perfume.

“I’m going to be the most famous moglin ever.”

Meanwhile, in the realm of Death…..

Ash was falling down millions of feet down into nothingness for a couple of hours. Finally, he hit the ground safely without a scratch.

“Ugh… What, no spider?”

It was pitch-black. Ash couldn’t see a thing and so he tried to peerinto the darkness.

“Mental Note: Ask Warlic to teach you a spell for illumination…..Man, I can’t see a thing….There’s gotta be a heroic way to do these things….Maybe this way…”

Everything suddenly became light and Ash could see. He was in this wasteland full of Shadowhounds and Spectres, which he ignored, he couldn’t fight them since his sword was broken. After a while, he finally found Death.

“Foolish boy, I told you, it is not your time. Why would you venture into Death’s Realm?”

“I…I had to.”

“Hahahahaha, HAD to? Unless I pulled your soul to become part of my collection, then you did not HAVE to. You’ve risked your very life in following me.”

“I….I am not afraid. I have to save her.”

“’Her’? Do you even know her name, mortal?”

“No. It doesn’t matter though! She is my friend, no matter what her name is. This is least I can do after everything she’s gone through our adventures.”

“Death knows no friends, no debts. Time is the only thing that counts. Her soul is mine now, boy, and a mortal such as yourself cannot change that. Too many souls have been stolen from my grasp lately and I will not let this one go.”

“You have to. I….I’m going back and I’m taking her with me.”

“Is that a challenge, mortal? Hahaha, if you’re that insistent, then we can play a game. If you win, you can take your friend and go back to the land of the living. If I win, then her soul is mine….and so is yours.”

“…Alright, but I get to pick the game.”

“Hahaha, as you wish, boy. I prefer chess, but the ages have seen other contests attempted in a bid to escape my grasp. Whether you choose chess or checkers, a golden fiddle, or Twister, I shall have two souls for the price of one.”

“Tic-Tac-Toe.”

“……Really?”

“I’ve never been more serious.”

“……As you wish.”

Thirty seconds later………

Ash easily defeated and humiliated Death.

“What?! NO!” Death shouted out. He has just lost two more souls.

“YES! I win!”

“But….”

Ash walked to the girl.

“I….Impossible! I demand a rematch!”

“No. The deal was one game. Let my friend come with me, we have a necromancer to stop. Who knows how many Doom weapons he’s made by now….”

“A necromancer? …….Go then, hero, and rid the world of one more soul-stealing magician. Know this though, we will meet again and, next time, I choose the game.”

A dark portal appeared behind Ash and then Ash dragged the girl along with himself into the portal.

Ash and the girl appeared in a place full of grass and then the dark portal faded away.

“We’re back…..OK, you can wake up now…… Really, you’re safe now. ……..What’s wrong? ……I won the game! You should be awake! I….”

Ash began sobbing. “I….I don’t know what else I can do….”

Just then, a portal of light appeared behind Ash.

“Wh—What is that light?”

A female being made of pure light emerged from it. “By the Light! Where have you been?! Do you have any idea how worried your father and I have been? He’s been sending knights out for weeks trying to find you!”

“M…Me?!” Ash was very confused. The girl then awoke.

“I…” She began.

“You’re awake!!!” Ash cried out happily. He smiled. “I’m so happy you’re back!”

“What….what happened?” The girl then noticed the pure light being. She turned to her. “Mother?”

Ash was super confused. The girl and the pure light being, who was called Celeritas, by the way, hugged each other.

“I…I just wanted to see what it was like down here…..to explore…” The girl said. “Then that necromancer caught me…. And….”

Necromancer?” Celeritas questioned.

“It’s alright, Mother. This boy, Ash, saved me. He threw his sword and knocked out fifty skeletons!”

“You remember!” Ash cried out again.

“I am so sorry for laughing when I first met you. Your story struck me as so peculiar and silly. Yet no matter what danger we found, you wanted to help me, even without knowing who I was. Thank you.”

The girl hugged Ash and he was blushing.

“There’s just one more thing…..”

Oh boy, oh boy! She’s going to kiss me!

“ATOMIC WEDGIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Ten seconds later……

“Try to kiss ME, will you?” She said, mad. Ash was, well, difficult to explain in words.

“I…am SOOOOooooo sorrrrrryyyyy. So very sorry…” Ash said, it was kinda difficult to talk, being well, you know. The girl then walked away.

“ARGH! And where’s my freakin’ hat anyway? ....I like that hat.” Ash twitched.

A while later……………

“The Necromancer has opened the Dark portal, he will cover the world in darkness. Now, it’s my turn to help you, Ash!”

“Help me? But you just got back from Death’s realm! You remember what the Necromancer said, too. Only someone with the Sword of Destiny can defeat him and only a knight can wield it. I might not be able to defeat him… but I should be able to stall him, at least.”

“You have the heart of a Knight, Ash.”

Indeed.” Celeritas said. “Very well, my daughter, if you wish to aid this boy in his battle against the minions of darkness…. It is your right, as a Princess of the Light.

“Wait…PRINCESS?!?!?!?!”

“Thank you, Mother!”

“You….you…you’re a princess from the Plane of Light?!”

You have done well, Ash. Kneel and accept your reward.

Ash did as he was told.

Now rise, Ash…

A while later…………

“HAHAHAHAhAHAHHA!” The Necromancer shouted. He was so close. The Sword of Doom was almost complete. “My plan is almost complete! Nothing can stop me now! The Master will teach me the language of darkness and this world will be mine!”

“Not so fast.” Ash and the girl walked in. Ash was wearing bright shining golden armor. He has finally become a Knight. But not just a Knight, an ArchKnight.

“I realize that you are probably going to just say no, but I felt it would be proper to say it anyway…. Surrender now, Villain!”

“….No.”

“You’re really going to make me get my new armor all dirty?” The Necromancer just smirked.

“You’re going to need more than armor to defeat me, commoner. I told you, only the Blade of Destiny can defeat me and you’re no Knight.”

“We’ll see about that.” The girl transformed into her true form, a pure being of light. She then fused with Ash’s broken sword. The sword magically transformed into the one thing the Necromancer could fear. The Blade of Destiny. It was of complete gold, but not gold, but light. Pure raw shining light.

“WHAT?! THAT’S NOT F***ING POSSIBLE!!!!! How did a little insignificant squirt like you…actually get a Princess from the Plane of Light to merge with your sword?!” The Necromancer was shaking with fear. “MINIONS…..ATTTACK!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Ash moved even faster than the Hero had before him, and easily destroyed the tens and hundreds and thousands of skeletons attacking him. He moved into their numbers and swung his blade, which caused the skeletons to turn into dust. He easily purified each and every single tiny skeleton which tried to kill him. He smiled.

He then jumped back in front of the skeletons and shouted out “Vorpal Light Knight Throw of Destiny!”

He threw the sword and it destroyed the entire army.

“I really didn’t think I could find a way to hate you more.” The Necromancer said.

The Sword of Destiny returned to Ash and then it said, “Do you just come up with these weird special move names on the fly?”

Ash looked back at the Necromancer.

“Do you surrender?”

“…….No.”

“Seriously, last chance….”

“Ash, there is something I must tell you. I am your Father.”

“But my Father works on a farm west of Falconreach.”

“Dangit….thought you were one of those orphan heroes with a mysterious unexplained childhood.”

“It was worth a try.”

“Thanks.”

“This is the part where you tell me the secret origin of Doom Weapons and then unleash your Darkness attack on me.”

“I told you that four scenes ago.”

“Oh….so then what ARE you going to do?”

“Kill you, you little pip squeak! Now, DIE!”

The Necromancer fired a laser of darkness from his staff directed at Ash but Ash simply dodged it. Ash continued to run straight at the staff and destroyed it. The Necromancer quickly threw it away before it exploded.

“You are too late! The Sword of Doom is complete!”

The Necromancer quickly grabbed the sword. “Its power rivals that of the Sword of Destiny. Prepare to DIE!”

The Necromancer and Ash did a vicious sword-fight. They were evenly matched. The Necromancer once fired a laser from his hand but Ash dodged it by jumping onto the roof and then rebounding from it towards the Necromancer. The Necromancer dodged it the crash sent him and Ash flying into pillars. With only one more thing left to do, Ash and the Necromancer fired lasers of pure raw light and darkness from their swords. The lasers hit each other and then they struggled to overpower each other. However, Ash’s strong will got the better of the Necromancer and the laser was sent straight at the Necromancer. The Necromancer was sent flying into the wall and the Sword of Doom turned into dust.

“NO!” The Necromancer shouted out.

“You’re going into that portal….Where you can never hurt anyone….EVER AGAIN!”

Ash jumped high into the air and then rose his sword. “ArchKnight Final Attack…..Ultimate ArchKnight Light Soul Flare Beam Splatty Boom Technique! GO!”

The Sword of Destiny transformed into wings and then Ash charged up Super Special Awesome Pure Raw Light Lasers from his hands and then fired them at the Necromancer, and at last, the world was saved.

“Whew. We did it!” Ash said happily.

“Yes, that’ll teach him to kidnap wandering Princesses.” The girl in her true form said. “I really enjoyed visiting your world. But now it’s time for me to go, Ash. Thank you for everything.”

“Do you really have to go?”

“Yes, it’s time for me to go back to the Plane of Light. Don’t worry, though, your adventures are only beginning.”

“….”

“Good bye, Sir Ash!” The princess flew into the sky. Ash was sobbing.

“Goodbye…........Divina…..”

And thus marks the end of ArchKnight……right?
