"Well, is it really much more logical to say he made the monsters physically there? That's just as farfetched when you think about it..." He tried to explain.

"I don't want to believe it either Isumi, trust me, but you can't ignore the fact that everyone has experienced things similar to me since that happened, all with the same kind of people. Luc had a Shadow Duel too." He said remembering Luc in the middle of his duel.

"The only way I can think to prove it to you is to reiterate that the monsters attacks were real."

"Yup, I got scratched on the cheek by a Wicked God." Luc said, walking in. "See?" he said, pulling the bandage off. "But right now, we may have bigger problems." he continued, pulling the Wicked God cards out again. He figured that Zack could hold his own if those shady characters forced him to duel, at least he hoped. But the others needed to know about the Wicked Gods. "My opponent last night was wielding corrupted copies of these." he said gravely, holding the three cards up.

A seaplane with I2 markings circled over the island a few times, then came in to land. It touched down just outside of the harbor, then moved close to the dock until a young woman in a teacher's uniform could get herself and her luggage out.

"Well, I hope you manage to get your affairs settled, ma'am!" The pilot replied.

"I will!" The buxom teacher replied, waving.

"Hold on a second!" The pilot cried out, remembering something. He reached into the back seat and pulled out a locked briefcase.

"Could you please take this to the headmaster?"

"Are those the samples of the new Academy-exclusive booster packs?!?"

"Why, yes, they are. How would you-"

"Would I ever?!?"

"Umm...sure...here you go..."

The teacher snatched up the briefcase and high-tailed it out of there.

"Wow...I can see why Maximilian Pegasus himself gave her this job! She's something special, all right!"

The pilot chuckled to himself as he maneuvered his plane away from the jetty and off into the wild blue yonder.

Isumi's breath caught in her throat. So there's no way...then how? "It's not possible," she gasped, still looking down, "which means something impossible must have happened, but that's impossible. Unless this is a nightmare- ow!" She winced as she felt her arm with her free hand. "So it can't be a nightmare. But then what's going on?" she asked, lifting her head. Her eyes were wide, almost fearful, and her breathing seemed unsteady.

Brandon grinned as the other boy ordered his Fire Princess to attack. "I activate my face down", said Brandon. People giggled as the Mirror Force trap card flipped up. "Wow Mr. Obelisk Blue, thats a pretty stupid thing to fall for", said Brandon, laughing. The other boy's face turned red. "I put 1 card face down and end my turn", finished the boy with anger in his voice. "My draw", said Brandon. He smiled a large smile. "I summon Infernal Queen Archfiend in attack mode", said Brandon slamming the card onto his duel disk. As the monster appeared, people gasped. "I guess these people have never Archfiend cards before", said Brandon. I activate my queen's effect. Now, every 1 of my standby phases, I can raise the power of my Rook by 1000", said Brandon, laughing. "Now I activate Card Destruction". Brandon and the other boy discarded their hands into the graveyard and drew new cards. "Now, I activate Monster Reincarnation. Now, by discarding one card from my hand, I can special summon my old friend, Terrorking Archfiend!" When he placed the card on the duel disk, the monster appeared, and everyone was amazed. They never seen such a monster. "Now I activate Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy your face down card". Brandon smiled as it was destroyed, showing that is was Mirror Force. "And now, Terrorking Archfiend, destroy him!", yelled Brandon with an evil look in his eye. As Terrorking raised his sword, the other boy had a look of fear and embarrasment spread across his face. Terrorking rushed toward the boy, slicing him. The boy's life points went to zero and he dropped to the ground. "I guess I win", said Brandon, grinning.

 

( P.S, I beat him with Terrorking because we were only using 2000 life points in this duel and Terror's attack is exactly 2000 )

Hime clapped at the duel.

"Wow! What an intense duel! I can't believe there are so many powerful students here!"

Hime rushed over to Brandon, extending her hand.

"You can call me Miss Hime, your newest teacher!"

Brandon grabbed her hand and shook it. "I'm Brandon, pleased to meet you miss.

Did you really like my duel? That was the first duel I've had since I've arrived

at the school. I hope the crowd liked it too". Brandon looked at the crowd and

watched it dissapear. Brandon looked back at the teacher. "Do you like my deck?"

[Ace Daimon]

"Like it?" Hime responded. "I LOVE it! Archfiends are rarely used nowadays, so it's interesting to see someone using them! Of course, you never know what Archetype students will use nowadays."

Hime then grinned as a nasty little though popped into her head.

"Think your deck is good enough to go up against a teacher's?"

"Of course", said Brandon, grinning. "I have a lot of faith in my deck

and it has faith in me. There is no way I can lose with it! I've

never lost with this deck and I'm not going to. Do I sense a

challenge? If so, I'll take you on, and win!

"Relax Isumi, it's a lot to take in, we know..." He said calmly.

"If we all look out for eachother, then nothing will happen. We need to know their intentions first though, so I need to ask you something. If you'd rather me wait til you were feeling a bit better, I can though." Zeraius mentioned thoughtfully. He needed to know what the cloaked man wanted, and why he would want it.

"Sure." Hime replied as she moved into the same position that Brandon's previous foe had stood in.

"And how about a little wager? If you win, you get to have the honor of taking this briefcase full of really rare cards to the Headmaster. I notify him of the change so that he will not think you stole the cards. That way, you might be able to get a glimpse at some of the new cards I2 has made especially for this school."

"However, if I win, you have to enroll in my Dueling Discipline class, which starts tomorrow. Trust me. It sounds a lot better on paper."

"Deal?"

"Deal", said Brandon, looking forward to the rare cards. He moved into his previous position

and prepared to duel. Brandon looked next to him as Terrorking Archfiend appeared next to

him. "Beware Brandon, this foe is very strong and should not be taken lightly", said Terror.

"Alright, I'll try my best, I know we can win this. Together, there is no duel we can't win"!

Brandon shuffled his deck and was now ready to duel. "You can start".

Jason exited his dorm room and took a deep breath in. 'What a nice day' he thought to himself. A flutter of light only visible to Jason started to form nearby. After shifting shapes and having trouble doing so, a Decoy Dragon appeared.

 

"Reer" Decoy Dragon said reaffirming Jason's statement. "It's so nice it just makes you wanna, wanna...it makes you wanna duel somebody. Hmm, there's always what seems to be eager duelists at Slifer Red. Lets go check it out." Jason started walking towards the Slifer Red Dorm with Decoy Dragon right behind him. When he got there he saw that a showdown between a teacher and student was beginning. 'Watching a duel is just as fine.' Jason thought to himself and Decoy Dragon.

"Monsieur Chronos," Azrael said while arriving to the Chancellor's Office, "there's something we need to talk."

 

"Senior Valiant I'm glad to see you," Chronos said to Azrael, "there's a new teacher at the Academy, Seniora Banashime Hitokuchi."

Azrael sorprised with the name Mademoiselle Hitokuchi, hope she doesn't interfear in my plans Azrael thought for himself.

 

"She will be the Obelisk Blue Girls Dorm Headmaster and your partner."

"So, this will be interesting, but, I came here to talk about you the expansion of the Duel Arena and the Cyber World Arena..."

 

Azrael said to Chronos. They continue talking and talking about that situation...

"Alright! I'll start off by activating Toon Table of Contents!"

Hime searched her Deck, then found the card she was looking for.

"Now I'll play Toon World!" (Hime: 7000 LP)

"Next I'll activate Magic Reflector!"

A robot walked up in front of Toon World and emitted a beam of light that created an energy bubble around the book.

"Now I Special Summon Clown Warrior - Sango in Attack Mode!"

A cute clown girl in a very revealing outfit with a giant boomerang popped out of the book and landed in front of Toon World, giving a wink at Brandon. (1700 ATK)

"Now I set a card and end my turn!"

"Alright, I activate the field spell card, Pandemonium!", said Rex. The area suddenly turned very evil, very fast. "Now I'll summon my Shadowknight Archfiend!" He smiled as the monster appeared, looking as evil as ever. "I'll set 2 cards face down and attack your clown with my Shadowknight!"

 

Brandon: 8000

Monsters: Shadowknight Archfiend ( 2000 atk )

"Hey, I never said I believed in your fairy tales," Isumi protested. Her emotions, at least, were beginning to return to normal, but she still couldn't think of any reason, short of the guy developing some sort of hard light technology, for her to be physically injured during a duel. "But, since I can't come up with anything better, I'll go with it temporarily," she added.

 

"And you may as well ask whatever it is you wanted to ask as well," she continued, after a pause, "since I don't think I'll be going anywhere for a while."

"I wanna know what that guy wanted from you." He said frankly.

There had to be something they all had in common, they were the targets. It seemed to be only the people Zeraius told about what happened to him. Maybe that was it? No, if that was the case then why target Zeraius in the first place? Was it the Lightsworns after all? Lumina should have been able to tell if it was one of the enemies she told him about when they met...

What could these guys possibly be after?

Sango smirked as she threw her boomerang, causing Shadowknight to duck and change to Defense Mode. As she retrieved the boomerang, she knelt down into Defense Mode as well. (1200 DEF)

"Sango has a special ability that allows her to change the battle position of a monster on each side of the field, and this effect can be activated during either player's turn!"

"Now your Shadowknight can't attack now that he's in Defense Mode, eh?

"Alright then", said Brandon, smirking. "I end my turn".

Azrael went out of the Chancellor's Office and the Academy. He saw that a duel was taking place near the gate...

Cannot be.... Arch... Archf... Archfiends? Azrarl thought to himself while watchin the duel. His favorite Deck was oonce the Archfiends and the Arcana Forces, but after his parents disappear those become just white paper to his eyes...

That boy, he doesn't know how to play with the Archfiends, he just think in power and more power, he needs more strategy. If he knows about the Archfiends, why didn't he use its effect to negate her monster effect? And... that should be teacher, I will watch this duel to see what kind of Deck she use...

'Curious' Jason thought to himself. 'He could've activated Shadowknight's dice roll ability. Sure it was a slim chance that it would actually land on a 3, but it was better to try then to not try at all.' Jason watched the duel with curiosity, then out of the corner of his eye, saw another duelist join the onlookers.

 

Maybe we should go make his acquaintance Jason said to Decoy Dragon. He walked over to the duelist who seemed to be in deep thought and stuck out his hand. "Hey, the name's Jason, soon to be dueling pro, remember that." Jason joked

"Isumi, I hate to burst your bubble, but there's no other explanation I can think of to explain how I felt 'The Wicked Dreadroot's' breath or how my 'Armed Dragon LV10's' 'Serrated Sonic Disks' were able to slice into a tree." Luc said. "I wish I could be as skeptical as you are. I wish I could say it was some sort of 'hocus pocus mind trick'. Thing is, the stuff happening in these duels goes beyond what science can explain, and I'm all for science." He sighed. "That guy wanted my Blue-Eyes for some reason, so much that he summoned what is essentially the pure evil version of 'Obelisk The Tormentor' on me. I've never been so afraid for my life. Something about that duel just didn't seem right." He said. "Believe what you wish, but I think there's a lot more to this dilemma than we can even begin to imagine."

Azrael saw the young boy that approachs him...

 

"Uh... Oh, Excuseme, I'm Azrael Valiant, Teacher of this academy and headmaster of Obelisk Boys Dorm..." He said to Jason... "So you think that you will be a Pro Duelist?" He said to Jason.

This boy... could he have a monster Spirit? Azrael thought to himself...

This card is destroyed if you don't control a face-up "Toon World". During your Main Phase, you may pay 500 Life Points to shuffle a card in your hand back into your Deck, then add 1 LV4 or lower Toon Monster to your hand.

 

"I send Rinoa, Tifa, and Washu back to my Deck to add Rukia, Vivi, and Rei to my hand!" (5500 LP)

Hime sent the cards to her Deck, then added her new acquisitions.

"Now I special Summon all of them with their effects!"

Three more Clown Warriors, one with a geisha-esque outfit and a sword, one with a sailor fuku-looking dress, and one with several strings appeared next to Sango. (1900 ATK) (1400 DEF) (1800 ATK)

"Now I'll activate Sango's effect, changing the battle position of Vivi and Shadowknight!"

Sango swung her boomerang, which swept over Shadowknight, causing him to get enraged and go into Attack Mode, while Vivi ducked turning to Defense Mode.

Suddenly, Vivi sent a string with a blade at the end at one of Brandon's face-downs, destroying it.

"Vivi has a special effect, destroying face-downs whenever she has her battle position changed by a card effect!"

Now, Rei seemed to have flames encircling her.

"Did I mention Rei? She gains 100 ATK for each Attack Position monster, and, frankly, your Knight gives her a boost too!" (1800 ATK -> 2100 ATK)

"Now I'll simply switch Sango to Attack Mode, and attack you with Rei!"

Rei charged towards Shadowknight Archfiend, her fists blazing. (2100 ATK -> 2200 ATK)
