Fire Emblem POR/RD Set

Removed my old rendered version of Ike - Ranger and replaced it with the new one. Edited Ike - Lord's ATK/DEF and effect.(For those of you who don't know Fire Emblem well, POR/RD = Path of Radiance/Radiant Dawn.)

Lore

This card inflicts Piercing Damage. If this card attacks, it is switched to Defense Position at the end of the Damage Step.

 

Explanation of Piercing Damage - During battle between this attacking card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent's Life Points.

 

 

Lore

This card can only be Ritual Summoned with the Ritual Spell Card "Lordship". You must also offer 2 monsters whose Level Stars equal 5 or more. 1 must be a face-up Defense Position "Ike - Ranger" you control. If this card is in face-up Attack Position during your Battle Phase, flip a coin. If heads, this card can attack twice this Battle Phase (swap ATK and DEF). If tails, this card can only attack once during this Battle Phase. This effect can only be used once per turn. If this card inflicts damage to your opponent's Life Points, increase your Life Points by half of the damage inflicted.[/align]

Thanks for your rate/comment. I hadn't noticed the text down in the bottom left, although I did notice the slight squished look to it. I pasted over the text, although you can clearly see it, hopefully it looks better than the text. I couldn't do anything about the squished look, it's just the way the card maker forces it to fit (I got the same result when I made it smaller).

Ike is a hero, he's right up there with the most valiant of video game swordsmen. Should change his element to Light, or at least Fire...

 

To critique the graphic, I think you put a decent effort into finding a good background, though it is pretty dimensional and by contrast makes Ike look kinda flat, but still, props for making it look as good as it does.

 

What sword is he wielding? It's not Ragnell...

Ok so I tried to reply to everyone's comments that I saw at the time, so, here goes.

No offense...but you didn't crop anything' date=' you just made the picture smaller and converted it to a .bmp format. However, it seemed to fix the problem because it doesn't look squished anymore. Thank you very much! =-)

Edit: You might have cropped the edges of the picture a bit? That might've been what you meant.

That's a good idea, but some people don't know what Piercing Damage is so I wanted to play it safe. I guess I'll change it to that and put an explanation below. =D

It'll take me a while to post cards since I have to crop out nearly every character and find a good bg for them, I'll be doing Ike - Hero next (Ike in his normal uniform three years after the events of Path of Radiance).

I was trying to figure out a way to explain that effect, then I got busy. >_<

 

Well the second monster you tribute can come from your deck..so you can just tribute one of your weaker monsters I guess.

 

Edit: I don't know if you realized but the way I set up the cards, once you get "Ike - Ranger" on the field and "Lordship" in your hand/field, it's very easy to get "Ike - Lord" out, so I didn't want to make him too strong. The way I set it up is that you can attack with "Ike - Ranger" and then finish your turn by tributing him along with 1 monster from your hand/deck/field, and ritual summoning "Ike - Lord".
