The only reason I have for supporting illegal immigration is that it provides a cheap or free workforce for a ton of places.

The OP is presenting a false dichotomy. It's not "support of illegal immigration" vs "support of illegal immigration laws.

 

A. Without those immigration laws, it wouldn't be illegal. Thus making one impossible to support without also supporting the other.

 

B. Looking past that, we can protest the regard of illegals as evil, without rights, etc. while still recognizing the need to restrict access to the country.

There are illegal immigrants in Canada? From where? I'm pretty sure Canada borders... USA and... Maybe Greenland? Where do you get your illegal immigrants that steal THE BEST JOBS IN CANADA?

 

I mean the only possible illegal immigrants I can think of are middle aged Americans who want free health care but do not qualify for Medicaid/Medicare. And even then that's rare. And even then there probably aren't enough to steal ALL the jobs.

 

And in America, teenagers settle for minimum wage jobs. Therefore it can be assumed that Canadian teenagers also want these minimum wage jobs for pocket money and do not aspire to be CEO's. Therefore it can be assumed from your comment that all Canadians want minimum wage jobs. Wtf?

I don't think studies go around checking to make sure that the people they poll are citizens. They just go look at shitholes and post findings such as "X city has X rate of poverty"

 

Thus, making our country look shittier. Look at Norway. No one tries to sneak into Norway, and they're country looks awesome...on paper.

I'm against illegal immigration in principal because it's illegal. I understand people want better lives by coming to this country (America), but they should still try to do it within the law. When people complain about the illegal immigrants taking their jobs (They took mah jerb!), are they actually talking about jobs they would have gotten themselves, or theoretical jobs they wish they had now that they're scraping the false bottom of the barrel? I can't tell...

 

Also, I wonder how many people complaining about illegal immigrants are just plain racist. You know there has to be a good amount.

Everyone who says that illegal immigrants took their job are blatantly lying.

 

Not meaning to sound racist, but the immigrant Mexicans aren't the smartest of people, nor do they have the right qualifications to do much of anything. The jobs they take are jobs that American people would NEVER do, like working at a fast food restaurant, or cleaning up after someone.

 

In this country, we'd rather say we don't have a job than say we are a maid at the Holiday Inn. It's our self-esteem (in a negative connotation) that forces this upon us. If you want a job, drive your ass to Taco Bell and work there. But you won't. Yet you complain about Mexicans stealing the jobs you refused.

 

I'd understand if Mexicans were the CEOs of big companies, but they aren't.
