Illegal Immigration

Recommended Posts

Fun Fact: Living in America is possibly bad for your health. Illegal immigrants who come to this country (America) are the ones who were strong, healthy, and driven enough to make it here, yet a few years living in America causes them to develop a lot of stress and depression.

At least that's what a documentary on PBS said. Maybe we should tell people from other countries not to come here (illegally) or else they'll get sick from just living here.

EDIT:

Everyone who says that illegal immigrants took their job are blatantly lying.

Not meaning to sound racist' date=' but the immigrant Mexicans aren't the smartest of people, nor do they have the right qualifications to do much of anything. [b']The jobs they take are jobs that American people would NEVER do, like working at a fast food restaurant, or cleaning up after someone.

In this country, we'd rather say we don't have a job than say we are a maid at the Holiday Inn. It's our self-esteem (in a negative connotation) that forces this upon us.[/b] If you want a job, drive your ass to Taco Bell and work there. But you won't. Yet you complain about Mexicans stealing the jobs you refused.

I'd understand if Mexicans were the CEOs of big companies, but they aren't.

I totally agree.

The reason no one wants the terrible low paying jobs is because they're terrible and low paying. The reason these jobs are terrible and low paying is because they're allowed to be, because illegal immigration enables it.

Employers can get away with allowing terrible jobs to exist because they know their employees can't complain, what with being in the country illegally and all. As far as I'm concerned, those that employ illegal immigrants and exploit them are far more culpable then a guy who jumped over a fence to clean the toilets in Starbucks for two bucks an hour.

You're an idiot. People don't invent terrible jobs because there are immigrants around to do them, terrible jobs exist, but no one but the immigrants are willing to do them.

Even if there were no illegal immigrants in America, there would still be a demand for people to mow the lawn/work at McDonald's/whatever.

As for below-minimum-wage pay, yes, that has direct correlation to illegals, but you know what? It's not hard to get kicked out of this country if you're illegal. Which means that the job or life they had back home was probably worse than the one here.

No need for the name calling you silly nanny.

But seriously though, people don't invent terrible jobs? Do you even understand what the hell you're saying? who else would be inventing them? And if the job is physically taxing on the person, why not pay them extra, as the post you quoted mentioned terrible jobs that pay very little.

Right, and when demand is up but supply is limited, wages go up and the overall standard of living goes up. What's wrong with that exactly?

Wouldn't a call to Immigration (don't know their actual title) usually get them deported? I thought that was how it worked.

You misread. I said they aren't invented because there are illegal immigrants, but that these jobs would exist regardless of that.

Yes, if you go to border patrol and tell them you're not legally allowed to be in this country, they're going to laugh and say they don't believe you.

Let's clear this up, shall we? ^___^

Horrible jobs exist in the first place because they have to. Like driving trucks and cleaning out the toilets. Without those jobs, nothing would function.

And by law, those jobs must pay at least minimum wage. But us dumbass, lazy, egotistical americans would rather be unemployed than take a minimum wage toilet-cleaning job.

So illegals do those jobs for less than the minimum wage. Everyone is happy; the jobs get done and the illegals get paid (albeit paid very little).

Why aren't the Americans kicking out their own layabouts? If Americans can't contribute more to their society than these supposed "illegal immigrants", they deserve no special priviledges over the "illegal immigrants" and have no more of a reason for being there as opposed to being forced out.

As for sparing America's precious reputation for having the number of rich people they do, why should it be spared exactly? What makes America so much more sacred than other countries?

As I was trying to highlight a select sentence from this post, I realized every single point is valid and eye-opening. Especially that last part.

What makes America so much more sacred than other countries?

We aren't communist.

Proves nothing' date=' certainly not that we are "more good" or "more moral" than any communist country[/i']

We rebelled against Big Bad Britain.

While it takes balls to rebel against the largest empire of the time, Americans really had no valid reason to do it.

We have 50 states.

Yeah, its a jabroni to memorize all of them.

We have either won or tied every war so far.

Only because we either wait until the last minute, when everyone else is exhausted, to jump in. Or we "tie", which is government-speak for lose.

Our presidents have always been good.

I lol'd.

We rock.

I actually prefer other country's rock music to most American bands.

But other than that, I agree with you. What other country has carved their leaders' faces into a mountain?

Egypt does not count.

My good sir, can you please tell me what forum we are on? A Yugioh forum where the majority of members do not debate, nor do they know how.

And where is this forum location in the grand scheme of things? On the Internet, where nothing is taken seriously and everything is bullshit.

If you are having trouble with either question...

Please highlight my entire post.

Key word: ILLEGAL. They should do jail time & be deported.

Yes, and whilst we are doing that, I'll give you the job of finding us thousands of people who want to work for minimum wage doing shitty jobs like taking out the garbage and cleaning bathrooms and whatnot.

Illegal in what sense of the word? Yeah, they technically aren't supposed to be here. But they provide more benefit than harm.

And I've done illegal things, so by your logic, I should be in jail, hmm?

I've downloaded illegal software, my parents have ran red lights and stop signs (rarely, though), and I stole something as a little kid once.

I have never done an illegal thing ever in my life. I'm 11 years old!! & as someone who loves their country' date=' I'm offended by darks anti-american remarks.

Are you sure you've never broken the law? I think you have. Ever dropped something on the ground, and just left it there? Littering. Also, Please tell me why Illegal immigration is illegal. Why is there a law against it?

Because people complain about blah blah and Mexicans stealing jobs and blah blah which I countered earlier in this thread.

And even though I am American, I hate my country. :3

EDIT:

Dark' date=' how do you have so much reputation if you dont have any cards?

[/quote']

First, I used to make cards but stopped after it got boring... which was fairly quick.

And second, reputation isn't obtained by making cards. =/
