Frost Saber - Centuria the Frigid

WATER

Level: 4

[Warrior/Effect]

When this card battles an opponent's monster, that monster is not destroyed by battle. If a "Frost Saber" Monster you control, except "Frost Saber - Centuria the Frigid", inflicts Battle Dmagae to your opponent, you can Special Summon this card from your hand.

Frost Saber - Kelvin the Subzero

Level: 4

[beast-Warrior/Effect]

You can discard 1 "Frost Saber" Monster from your hand to select 1 face-up card your opponent controls and set it. Your opponent cannot flip that card face-up until the 2nd End Phase after this effect's activation.

ATK/ 1700

DEF/ 1400

 

Frost Saber - Hypos the Flashfreeze

WATER

Level: 2

[Warrior/Tuner]

If this card attacks a face-down Defence Position monster, you can destroy it with this card's effect without flipping that monster face-up or applying Damage Calculation.

Frost Saber - Glacias the Defender

WATER

Level: 4

[Warrior/Effect]

A monster that battles this Defence Position Card is changed to face-down Defence Position after Damage Calculation. It cannot be flipped face-up until its controller's 2nd Standby Phase, except with a card effect.

Frost Saber - Polaris the North Wind

If your opponent controls a face-down Defence Position Monster at the start of the Battle Phase, during this turn, this card can attack one additional time for each face-down Defence Position Monster on the field.

Frost Saber - Deepfreeze the 30 Below

If you control 1 "Frost Saber" monster, you can Normal Summon this card without a tribute. During any Battle Phase, decrease the ATK of your opponent's monsters by 500.

Frost Saber - Arctis the Absolute Zero

WATER

Level: 6

[Warrior/Synchro/Effect]

1 WATER Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner Monsters

When this card destroys a monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, Special Summon 1 "Frost Saber" Monster from your Graveyard whose ATK is less than the destroyed monster's.

ATK/ 2300

Frost Bushido

Continuous Spell

All face-up "Frost Saber" Monsters gain 300 ATK for each "Frost Saber" Monster you control.

 

Unbearable Chill

Quick-play Spell

Activate by discarding a "Frost Saber" monster. Select 1 "Frost Saber" monster. It gains ATK equal to the discarded monster.

 

Icicle Plains

Field Spell

When the effect of an "Frost Saber" monster activates, you can return a card on the field to your hand to have "Frost Saber" monsters you control gain 500 additional ATK until the End Phase.

 

Frost Force

Counter Trap

Activate only when your opponent declares an attack while you control 2 or more "Frost Saber" Monsters. Destroy all Attack Position Monsters your opponent controls.

 

Flash Freeze

Counter Trap

Activate only while you control a "Frost Saber" Monster. Negate the activation of a Spell or Trap Card, and Special Summon it in face-down Defence Position; it is treated as a Normal Monster (WATER/Aqua-Type/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0). It cannot be flipped face-up.

 

Duel Terminal-style Archetype. More to come.

Hypos is the kind of card that essentially could go anywhere. Face-down Defense may not be that important in today's game, but it would save you against those pesky Stall monsters. Arctis provides some swarm during the Battle Phase, provided that the monster it destroys has more than 1200 ATK.

 

Now I see that Kelvin and Hypos go hand in hand, so a plus for that.

 

Frost Bushido, with the slightly off name IMO, gives the archetype the beatsticking it needs, to make up with the lack of monster destruction. Frost Force just seems so awfully familiar, I won't go in too deep on that one. Good support.

The theme is a swarm/beatdown/control one. The goal is to swarm the field with monsters that will cause mega damage.

 

I'll add GriffinCakeman's card, and a couple monsters.

 

I know it's a DT archetype, but I can't resist.
