[Max Darkness and Necro Pheonix] A Battle of Life and Death

Max Darkness

Recommended Posts

Welcome to a reborn collab set. I created the Aduros and the Necrons were made by Necro Pheonix. Enjoy.

Light and darkness will forever clash. Never-ending, it is an eternal struggle. But what drives it? Mortal men will claim it is the battle between good and evil, but it is not so. It is much more simple than that.

It is simply life against death. Genesis against Revelations. And it is us, the Aduros who began this war, so long ago, against our antitheses, the Necron. We are the ones who judge you, the mortal races, raising your members up to divinity, or casting them into oblivion.

Those who fail in our eyes become the Necron. The ones who were despised when they lived, their twisted minds becoming ever more so in the terror that is the underworld.

They rose up, claiming our arrogance and ways would be the end of your universe. We retaliated, realising that they would bring the fall of your plane of existance themselves. And our war gave rise to everything. Radiance and shadows; good and evil; and the primal light and darkness.

We are the reason for existance, and we intend to protect it.

As I expected these cards are great.

Pics are amazing.

OCg is almost perfect, I think that "While you control a different face-up "Necron" monster" of Necron Abomination/Assasin should be somethng in the sentence of "If you control another "Necron" monster (other that "Necron Abomination/Assasin"),". But I may be wrong.

Effects of the Aduros are more complex then the Necron, but that doesn't bother me.

A 9.8/10 for the Aduros.

A 9.4/10 for the Necron. (Sorry Phoenix)

how many existing cards are there that involve coin tosses and calling where nothing happens when you call it wrong?

Not many, though the Gun Dragons are one collection ("Barrel", "Blowback" and "Twin-Barrel Dragon").

The reason is, a lot of coin toss effects are win or lose. Think Arcana Force. A series of good tosses can make you win. And some bad tosses will destroy you. "Time Wizard" also.

Necron Rogue and Necron Rebel added.

@ Rag: Both the tribute Gun Dragons can be pretty vicious. Combined with "Double Costen", "Double Summon" (or "Ultimate Offering") and "Breaker the Magical Warrior"; you can get them out quickly and keep your opponent's field clear. "Mystic Plasma Zone" lets "Barrel Dragon" break the 3000 barrier and "Blowback" is not too far behind. And their high levels set up strong Synchros if you can't get their effects to work. Plus, since they're DARK Machines, they can be worked into "Ally of Justice" Decks (as non-Synchro beatsticks) and "Reactor" Decks (destructive stalling while you assemble SKYFIRE). I use them in the latter.
