Clowns are creepy because they are too happy.

When someone is too happy, I begin to get scared.

What sense of reality do they have? And deep inside me, I feel like they hate their lives but won't show it, and in the end, they'll cause a suicide bombing to everyone who gave them the job as a clown.

I only fear clowns when their in horror movies. Clowns, creepy little girls, and creepy old women are the three scariest moments in horror movies. Or at least in my opinion.

Other than that, I don't really fear clowns. I used to when I was really young, but not now since I'm older.

I'm pretty sure that the logic behind that sort of horror is that when a previously accepted of love and joy and warmth and comfort and whatnot suddenly transforms itself into an icon of unspeakable horror, it confuses us. I mean, if a god damn clown can go on a psychotic rampage and be taken seriously, then why can't anyone else? Pretty soon you'll be carrying a pistol around and pulling it around at any street musician you see. You go to your son's birthday party only to throw the punch bowl at the magician for fear of him suddenly causing everyone in a hundred mile radius to explode him a mass of gore with a wave of his wand.

And don't even get me started on trapeze artists.
