Darj
So, I was checking the new images that Jazin Kay uploaded in his album, and 2 cards caught my attention. Here are the monster versions of those cards. Once per turn, you can Special Summon 1 "Puppet Soldier Token". (Warrior-Type/DARK/Level 5/ATK 2000/DEF 1800). These Tokens cannot declare an attack. When this card declares an attack or is selected as an attack target, conduct battle between your opponent's monster and a "Puppet Soldier Token" you control. If this card would be destroyed, destroy 1 "Puppet Soldier Token" on the field instead. You can only control 2 "Puppet Soldier Tokens". When this card is selected as an attack target while you control another "Ice Barrier" monster, Special Summon 1 "Ice Barrier" monster from your Deck or Extra Deck in Defense Position and switch the attack target to that monster. That monster is returned to the Deck at the end of the Damage Step. I bet you can spot some similarities between these cards: they are Level 3 Spellcasters, there are 2 creatures in each picture and they swap the attack target to another monster; but they are not meant to work together (unless you experiment with an Ice-Spell-Barrier hybrid Deck). Their effects were inspired from their artworks, hence the similarities. Underpowered? Overpowered? Please let me know. Darj
Good point with the Decoy Dragon. What if I change the effect so it applies when the Illusionist declares the attack? The monster cannot stay, or Brionac, a possible target, will be able to use its effect.
ragnarok1945
looks like the OCG is just fine for both cards for the 2nd card, I suggest you modify the effect so that in some way your opponent is FORCED to attack 8/
Darj
Well, I have been thinking in an improved effect for the Illusionist, and this effect is what I got: When this card declares an attack or is selected as an attack target, conduct battle between the opponent's monster and another "Ice Barrier" monster you control. Once per turn, while you control another "Ice Barrier" monster, you can Special Summon 1 "Ice Barrier" monster from your Deck or Extra Deck. That monster cannot declare an attack and when it is removed from the field, it is returned to the Deck. What do you think of it?
