Most of those have very likely explanations but there are multiple possibilities. Let's also not forget one thing that some people beleive they know the origin of' date=' but lots of others question.

That's actually quite simple. In year 700 or so, about 20 something religious writings were collected fro around all Roman Empire and 1/4 were saved, for sounding less "heretic" than the others.

 

Who knows? If we would have the complete bible, maybe we would believe in 3 Gods or so...
