PMD: Conflicting Salvations [PG-13][Not Accepting][Started]

Nadia had not expected to be hit by an attack, that hadn't been part of the plan. When she slammed into the wall she momentarily lost consciousness. Though that was brief and when Saul came over she was awake again.

"..W-What happened?" she said sort of confused. Her sight was still a bit blurred. Then it came into focus and she saw a Porygon. Though the Porygon's voice was far more meaningful to her.

"Saul?" she questioned. She got up and sort of shook herself a bit to wake up almost as if she couldn't believe what she was seeing and hearing.

"I'm not dreaming right? That's you isn't it?" she said. There was real emotion in her voice. It was obvious from her voice and the necklace that this was Nadia.

"I finally found you! I've been so worried!" she said, happy to see him.

Saul smiled as best he could, which was naught more than closed eyes, in a upward postion. "Nadia! I'm so glad I found you!" He wanted to hug her, but he constrained himself. He was too sharp to be doing any hugging, and that was without factoring in the lack of arms. "Where'd you go?! What happened?!" He asked, and then it occured to him. Where were the others? Zac had gone somewhere, and the others had not given chase. He realized what a foolish move he'd made, and he needed to amend for that. Hechuckled as he snapped out of his thoughts, and spoke to Nadia. "Come on. The others are this way." He said, happy he'd found the lost one.

"Nadia, he found you after all." Roran saw that they were walking back towards the group. "Zac is missing now. I haven't seen him since we got into the fight with the Grass pokemon. I am worried about him now. Nadia, are you okay? What has Ho-oh told you?" Roran looked around hoping to see Zac coming their way. The land was flat, but the fog was still thick, and Zac could blend into it, even when he didn't mean to. "Let's rest for a moment, I have almost no energy still." Roran sat down, and closed his eyes to rest for a small amount of time. What could happen next? Roran wondered.

The headed off very happy to be reunited. Of course Nadia wanted to see the rest of the group as well. As they headed back they ran into Jason and Roran who had seemed to be following after Saul when he ran off on his own. Nadia had two more excited greetings from her other two friends. Roran questioned her about Ho-oh and she told them she'd tell her whole story when the whole group was together. As the the four continued back to the rest of the group the fog in the area was for the most part completely gone.

Eventually the four arrived where Kyker and Jordan were waiting for Zac to regain consciousness and sanity. He was still a little out of it. They waited a bit and shortly he was up again. They also waited a bit because Nadia needed to rest from the attack that had hit her. The five all shared very excited greetings with Nadia. Kyker realized it must have been their missing friend. It was odd to her that they would find her that easily. Suicune had taken her, she should have been with Ho-oh. So only Kyker was a bit on edge at Nadia's appearance. The others might have thought something was up if they hadn't been so happy to see their friend again.

Finally when everyone had settled down, Nadia decided to answer Saul's questions.

"So I'm sure you've all been really worried. I'll tell you what happened. Right when we got here we all know how the three beasts came and attacked us. Suicune had begun taken me and began flying away. I couldn't do much to resist him, he was quite strong. I saw you all go out of sight and didn't know what to do. At some point the other two beasts rejoined Suicune and while I was happy they hadn't taken any of you, I sort of wish at least one of you could have been with. If my mind hadn't been racing I probably would have broken down right there.

So the beasts continued for a bit until the strangest thing happened. They suddenly got caught up in some huge fight that was going on and an attack knocked into Suicune and then he dropped me. I really freaked out then, Suicune had been a decent bit in the air and now I was dropping. I guess one of the pokemon in the are saw me falling because a flying pokemon caught me. I forget what it was. He let me down and told me to get aware from here so I just ran in the direction I thought the beasts had come from. They'd really travelled a long distance. I came to a city and eventually got help from a Beautifly who said she could help me get to where I needed to go.

I told her my story and she told me she'd heard of something really interesting had happened around a place called Hillside Village. It took a few days but we finally reached the beginning of this pass which she told me would lead me to the village. Though this was as far as she could go so I thanked her got underway. The fog had me a bit on edge but I wasn't all that worried. Then that Sandslash came out of no where and attacked me. I had no idea what he wanted as he never really said. And that's where you came in Saul." Nadia recounted. She was still sitting as she was still a little disoriented from getting knocked out earlier.

"So that's what happened to me. What's been going on with you guys?" she said. Though there was still one question, if not others, the group had to ask about. It had really seemed she had been the one to save them from the grass types with the large fire attack but she made no mention of it.

Zac was floating airily, his strength returned and his embarassing singing forgotten. 'That's quite an amazing story, frankly I find it nothing short of amazing that the dogs could fly. Suicune I could believe, he's the embodiment of the north winds, so he could ride them easily to go long distances. Raikou is a little believable, but there shouldn't be any way Entei could fly' he stated. 'Though, we're glad you came when your did. Those grass types must've been really territorial to assault us with such a heavy dose of stun spore' he added.

"Well I couldn't see all that much about the other two I just knew they had showed up. I knew Suicune was flying though. But what are you talking about, grass types? Were you guys under attack too?" she said. It seemed she really didn't know about the hordes of grass-types that had attacked them. But that couldn't be possible. She had been the one who saved them, or at least a Vulpix had. It couldn't have been anyone else.

"Are you saying I saved you from them? I'm pretty sure I wasn't near any group of grass types here. It couldn't have been me, that Sandslash had me a bit preoccupied. Are you sure it was me you saw Zac?" she said.

Zac stopped for a moment to think. 'Well, I can't JUST say it was grass types. Bug pokemon can use stun spore too. Although I wasn't there, I was told that a very powerful fire move was used to scare them off. Apparently it was a will-o-wisp attack, as I was told. The only fire type who ever could learn that are Vulpix's & Ninetales. You happen to be a Vulpix Nadia, and the likeliness of there being another Vulpix running around is absurd. Fire types don't like mist and fog. It dampens them; of course, being human, you wouldn't have that much common-sense to stay out of fog' he deduced.

"That's really weird. I honestly didn't know about any group of pokemon making a disturbance like that and I certainly didn't use some enormous will-o-wisp." Nadia said thinking about what might have happened.

"Well, I guess you guys got lucky!" she said as if illogical explanations should just be happily accepted when there was no other available. But then again, that was Nadia for you. She never got down about anything, or at least never seemed down about anything.

"So tell me, what's been going on with you guys? What all's happened to you and where are you guys headed?" she questioned. She was curious, as was to be expected of someone who hadn't seen the only people in the world she knew for a week. As she sat her tails twitched every once and a while and she even fussed with them slightly with her back legs. Anyone who paid attention to her little quirks would recognize that as her usual hair-twirling that she had done as a human. She seemed to already be moving quite comfortably considering she was a fox now. She sat there with her usual smile just wondering what had happened to everyone else.

"Well, let's just say it hasn't been all easy going." Roran took a long pause after this statement. I don't want to say too much. It's just so strange. We are certain that a Vulpix saved us, but Nadia insists it wasn't her. Roran looked over to Saul, and decided that it would be best if he said what was needed to be said. "I think I'll let Saul tell you. I need to rest." He still didn't have a ton of energy from the Teleport. That took quite a bit of energy from me. I hope Saul knows what to say. I sure don't... Roran lied down and tried to get some rest, but so much was going through his mind, and he didn't know whether or not to say anything about his thoughts.

SAul cleared his non-existant throat before speaking. "Well, when we were looking for you, a trap was sprung on us, and grass Pokemon covered us wth Stun Spore. Roran here," He said, motioning to the sleeping Abra, "Is the reason we got out at all. Otherwise, Lord knows where we would be right now." He began to move his gem around on his leg, if it would be called that. More of an appendage than anything identifiable with a human or animal. He stared at it as he thought. "Are you sure that you didn't save us?" He asked, absorbed in though. He did not even realize he spoke at all.

"Yeah, yeah! I know about that stuff. And I'm still sure I didn't save you guys. I'd remember doing some attack like that. Now what I meant was what all are you guys doing, aside from searching for me? Have we found out what's going on here? You know, why we might be here, what we can do to get home, that sort of thing." Nadia said. She really did enjoy talking with her friends again. And though it pained her to have to put up such an elaborate act she was really enjoying just being around them. But as she continued she knew that shortly she would start hearing how much they had been lied to by Lugia's men. She didn't want to face it, and wouldn't until she had to. She still sort of hoped they would just come with her to Ho-oh.

Jason had been staying back, keeping quiet, and listening. He couldn't explain it, but for some reason, something about Nadia seemed...off. Though he didn't know what it could be, something about how Nadia acted now, and how she usually acted, just rubbed up against each other. He still did not speak, only watched Nadia, his eyes scrutinizing, trying to figure out if this was really Nadia. And...how could that not be Nadia? She has the gem around her neck, just like me, Saul, Roran, Jordan, and Zac. Which would mean that that has to be Nadia...doesn't it?

"So, this is Nadia?" asked Kyker as she gently made her way over to the Vulpix. Although she did not trust Nadia at all, she wasn't going to be showing it, especially if her assumptions that Nadia wasn't entirely free from Ho-Oh was correct. Kyker managed to smile and she held out her hand. "My name's Kyker, and I am responsible for safely taking these five - and you, I guess - to Lugia." Kyker had subtly, yet purposely put some heavier emphasis on "safely"; she wanted to see whether Nadia would pick up on it or not. If she does react a bit odd, then it means I must keep a closer eye on her ... I can only hope she is not yet familiar with her moves, compared to her, my strongest advantage is my moves, since I'm the only one who can use them without any delay whatsoever. Not even her gem could possibly save her from a good beating, it needs her to use her powers first, of course...

"Hello there, Kyker you said? It's nice to meet you. Yes, you guessed correctly. I'm Nadia, Nadia Bastier. I'd been wondering who exactly you were. That's very nice of you to look after them. I had been a bit worried when I saw them all traveling out here. I was wondering what might have happened if they were attacked. But I guess it wouldn't have been a problem with you around." She said very happily. Nadia had some idea that this Kyker was most likely a member of the evil Silver Resistance but as she didn't need suspicions being cast on herself she had to be nice. And she really did appreciate the fact that she'd kept them safe so it wasn't that difficult. In fact, Nadia was certain that a lot of the members of the Silver Resistance were actually good at heart. She figured a lot of them were being lied to. She really hoped that was the case with Kyker.

"So that's why you guys are taking this path; you guys are going to see Lugia? Would you guys mind filling me in on what's exactly going on here? I mean, in this world. If you recall I haven't exactly been anywhere where someone could have let me know. I've heard something about some fight between Lugia and Ho-oh but I haven't heard the full story from anyone who knows all that much about it." she said. This was it. It was time to see just how much her friends had been lied to and just how much they believed it.

Jason shook his head, still having strange doubts. After some thought, he stood up, and stepped toward Nadia. As he got closer, he faltered, unsure if what he was planning was right or not. No matter how hard he concentrated, he just couldn't put off that something was wrong with her. He took a deep breath, to calm his nerves. I shouldn't be feeling this way about Nadia. I know her like I know myself...and that's why I'm worried about her. Jason opened his mouth, and spoke his worries. "Nadia...is everything...okay, with you?"

Kyker very briefly shot Jason a glare; Come on, she's not going to tell you! If she's been hypnotised by Ho-oh, is it likely she'll hide it. However, what was done was done, and Kyker knew she couldn't just go and give Jason three good kicks, mainly because a, she didn't want to get sued for Pokemon abuse, and b, it would look far too odd if that happened, and it could even worsen the situation. With smoke pouring into the ground from her head (not literally), she crossed her arms, her feet pedalling through the air, and waited to see what would unfold next.

Zac watched these new events to unfold. 'Nadia never was good at keeping things secret. I really do see that she's lying to us. Well, two can play at the lying game Nads' he thought to himself. 'Nadia, since we trust you as our saviour, I guess you deserve to know our mission. We were sent by Jirachi with a message to tell Commandant Lugia that our forces are almost ready. And that once we're all in a safe position, then the Silver Resistance can lash out and destroy Ho-oh tyrannical power in this world' he lied.

"I'm fine Jason, why do you ask? Other than a stray attack that hit me there's nothing wrong." Nadia said. Then Zac responded to Nadia telling her that they were planning some war action with Lugia. However she didn't believe it. Considering they most likely considered her to be captured by Ho-oh they wouldn't tell her something like that. It didn't make sense either.

"Zac, you really should learn to tell better lies. Like anyone would trust us with some important war message. So I can tell you don't feel like telling me about what you've been told. It's okay. I think I can understand why you wouldn't want to. I suppose circumstances are a bit suspicious. So if you don't want to tell me now it's fine. I'll just stick around and I'm sure you'll trust me enough eventually." Nadia said.

Nadia wanted to keep moving, and as the sun had another hour before it was completely below the horizon they had time. She got up and began walking off in the direction of the group's destination.

"Well, as we're all okay now I'd suggest we get going. Of course, if you don't trust me enough to follow me, I understand. I'll get going though." she said. It was something she did when people showed signs of not trusting her. She maintained a positive attitude but made it seem rather mean of the person to not trust her at the same time.

Zac half-grinned as he idly floated about Nadia. 'If that's what you want to believe Nadia, then so be it. After all, I suppose you would know EVERYTHING about the plan, considering you were there; oh wait, you weren't. You're in no place to judge whether I'm lying or not, it could be true, it could be a lie; how could you know? I just thought we trusted each other enough to be open with each other; that is, unless there's something you're not telling us and you're putting up a defence to try to hide that fact' he said as he orbitted her.

"Your right Zac, I can't know!" she said suddenly angry and tears starting in her eyes. "But I think I have enough common sense to know that no leader would trust five strangers who can't even fight effectively to deliver some critically important message with only one person to help them!" she said tears not moving down the sides of her face. The thoughts and feelings were sincere even if she was acting.

"I can't believe you'd do this! I've been searching for you for an entire week and when I finally find you all you don't believe a thing I tell you and suddenly suspect me of something! I could've sworn we trusted each other too but apparently that's not true anymore! I thought everything would be fine, just as soon as I found you all again. But I feel worse now more than ever! What were you all doing this week? Were any of you out here looking or were you just sitting at some village? Do I mean anything anymore?! I-" with that Nadia ran off ahead.

Zac grinned as he floated into a tree. 'Yep, she's definately hiding something and acting. No way would she suddenly crack like that from my interrogations, we should know, I've tried it enough times. I guess I can safely assume she's with Ho-oh now, there's no denying it, well, she could try but I won't believe her. I know she once said that only when she's alone would the negative emotions fly into her, but she's not alone, unless...' he thought.

Saul knew that Zac could be mischievous, but this seemed to be more. Did he know something that Saul didn't? Had he missed something in his fervor for finding her, and subsequent jubilation? He did not know, but he was bent on finding out. "Nadia, are you alright!?" He yelled after the fleeing fox. He started to follow, then turned to Zac. "Great job." He said simply, and continued. "I'm going to tell her it was a lie, got it? She'd believe Zac played a prank. This way, she will open up more." He did not wait for an answer, but rather followed swiftly in the direction Adia had run.

Seems like Zac doesn't trust her either. How can we? Ho-oh must have gotten to her. She doesn't know that she is being used. And we can't break it to her, she'll just accuse us of lieing to her. I like the way Zac is thinking. Roran stood up and looked over to Nadia. "Well, looks like she may not listen to reason, but we expected this, correct?" Roran looked over to Zac. "She is hiding something, your questions helped cement that." Roran then looked at the direction Nadia had ran of into. "Shall we follow? Or are we going to wait and see if there may be a trap?"

Saul ran off in an attempt to catch Nadia. The others decided to stay. Saul had proved he'd be okay if he ran into trouble and Nadia seemed most comfortable around him. Still suspicions hung in the air as the group took note of how odd Nadia had been.

Nadia ran ahead tears still freely flowing. Then she heard a familiar voice. A Roselia appeared in front of her.

"What's the matter dear?" she asked in a concerned tone. She came next to Nadia and as she appeared the fog rolled back into the area. It would now be harder for Saul to find Nadia quickly. Nadia knew the Roselia, she was one of Ho-oh's subordinates and she'd been very kind to her when she'd first come.

"Flos. What are you doing here?" Nadia questioned still sobbing though she tried to stifle them now.

"No need to hold your tears back for me dear. You need to get it out. I'm just watching out for you and couldn't notice you'd started to cry. Now tell me what happened." Nadia cried out again. She couldn't accept that she couldn't help her friends. It was too much for her.

"It's no good! I thought this whole time I could help them. But it's pointless! My friends don't trust me anymore. There's nothing I can do anymore!" Nadia said. The Roselia put her arms around Nadia to comfort her.

"Nonsense. There's still plenty to be done. Though I don't think your words will be enough, they are quite far gone." Flos said. Nadia sobbed again at the words.

"I can still help them?" Nadia said looking up to meet the Roselia's eyes.

"Yes though at this point it would require a bit of force.' Flos said.

"No! I can't hurt them! I couldn't do that." Nadia said looking down again.

"Of course you can't. And I don't intend to make you. That would be too cruel. Don't worry, I'll get something together. We'll get whoever we can with us and Master Ho-oh will be able to save them. Then whoever we can't get will be much easier to save when it's not just you." Flos said. Though she knew Nadia was being used, she really did care for her. She wanted to help however she could.

"You really think? They can still be helped?" Nadia said.

"Of course. I intend to keep my word. Now I have to go now. It might be painful but you'll have to stick with them for a bit longer. Do your best and your friends will be okay before you know it." Flos said. Nadia nodded and with that Flos left. As Saul approached he had not only noticed the fog appear, but now it disappeared. And for a second he thought he had heard Nadia talking with someone. As the fog lifted he could see Nadia facing the same direction he was meaning he couldn't see her face. She still seemed to be sobbing.

Saul stayed back for a moment and digested what had happened. The fog had rolled in and out, for some reason yet to be revealed. It also seemed like she had been talking to someone who had preceeded and proceeded the arrival and departure, respectively. He decided that getting close was not the brightest idea in the lightbulb factory. Instead, he called to her from where he was. "NAdia?! Are you alright?! You ran off. I'm sorry about what Zac said. He was only pulling your leg." He regretted his lie, but it had to be done.
