This thread deserves the name of "Deus ex Machina: God from the Machine"...

This deck looks odd' date=' and though I know it's for a 6 year old, how does it run? Also, what's the purpose, besides pleasing your brother?

[/quote']

*changes thread title*

Anyways, I'll explain how I built this:

Step 1: Attempt, but fail, at building countless decks for my brother to like.

Step 2: Take 2nd and 3rd favourites, Machinas and Cyber Dragons, and put them together by making standard Machinas and adding Light Hex.

Step 3: Mix in the Gadget and Jinzo OTK variants of Machinas.

Step 4: Test on WC10 and discover that this somehow actually works.

Step 5: Post it.

So it's basically the 3 machina variants with Light Hex teched in.

It works, bit it would be nice if it were more consistent, which is why I posted it. Light Hex interferes with Solidarity, for instance.

He enjoys decks he likes that are actually good. To that end, I'm still wide open to any and all help to fix consistency and the deck in general. If there's something odd, could you please be more specific about it?

If you would run Junk Synchron:

-2 Solidarity

-1 Machina Armored Unit

+2 Junk Synchron

+1 Machinas Peacekeeper

If you would run Quickdraw:

-1 Hand Destruction

-1 Machina Armored Unit

+2 Quickdraw Synchron

But really, Plague would be best here, but im guessing your brother doesn't have enought money for him. You could just get rid of Solidarity altogether and run some other tuners like Gale.

Plague's price needs to be halved before he even gets me to seriously think about him.

Anyways, thanks for finding room for me to test those tuners. Those are his two favourites, and since the Synchros aren't too important anyways...

Anyways, you seem to have a good amount of experience with Machinas (well, as much as anyone could have at this point). Do you think it would be smarter to remove Light Hex or Solidarity? Solidarity gives me access to funnily high levels of ATK, like a 6000 ATK Green Gadget. However, Light Hex gets me Cyber Twin...

Ive been doing alot of work on trying to make my Machinas as good as possible and i have done alot of test duels on them, so you could say that.

Solidarity isn't really even needed in Machina builds. While it's good, there are better cards to run and limiting the monsters in the deck kinda makes the deck bad and it has to be pretty much all just machine-type monsters, with the odd tech monster here and there, which i find boring. Light Hex seems really random in here, plus only 2 targets out of a 37 other cards, while Solidarity can work with all your monsters in here. I would take out Light Hex

OK, I'll remove the Hex. By chain reaction, I'm also removing the Extra Deck, barring Overdragon, Fortress Dragon and a Twin.

I just like Solidarity for turning most LV4s into 2600 ATK beaters.

Considering the removal of Jinzo, or maybe going pure Machina without the Gadgets (as that's how my brother prefers his Machinas).

I don't really know too well why Jinzo works, i know theres a OTK, but really it feels to be a bit odd to run.

Pure Machinas are still good. It really your choice though. If he prefers, make it into pure Machinas then.

I just realised also you deck is really monster heavy. Doesn't that seem a little too many monsters with no kind of way to mill?

-2 Compulsory Evacuation Device

-2 Metalmorph

-1 Machina Sniper

-1 Machina Soldier

-2 Shrink

+3 Dimensional Prison

+1 Smashing Ground

+2 Machina Force

+2 Book of Moon

Foolish wouldn't be a bad idea either.

this fix

but

-2 Book of Moon

+1 Gearframe

+1 Force

for the easy...summon Fortress.

He already has maxed out Gearframe ;). 3 Force is a little too much.

no, I'm pretty sure it's just a tactic to push for win, summon 4 monsters in 1 turn and do a bunch of damage... but PoC does interfere with solidarity.... Maybe use 1 PoC to RfP a PoC in grave then use effect to RfP Force, then you have 4 monsters that are all affected by solidarity, and if the opponent has a clear field, It's either an OTK or pretty damn close to one

Using PoC to revive 4 monsters involves tributing itself. It will interfere with Solidarity unless I have 2 at the same time. >___>

Anyways, it would be a bit inconsistent with all of the parts at 1, barring Force. (also, I get 3 monsters from it, not 4)

OK then.

Should I implement Dark Bribe/MBaaS or something into this?

You don't have that big of a backrow, so Dark Bribe isn't really needed, besides, Starlight Road is a more suitable choice.

Mbaas is great in Machinas, i run one and it's saved me from countless Mirror Forces, Lighting Vortex, ect if i don't have Starlight Road.

-1 Machina Armored Unit

+1 Mbaas
