Mini-Vinny Posted March 23, 2010 Report Share Posted March 23, 2010 I've been wanting to make an account on here for some time now and have only just decided to get in gear and make one. So here I am. This is my first card (as the subject states), it's based on the Witch from "Left 4 Dead", I've been playing the game a lot recently and an idea for the Witch as a card sprang to mind.(Inspiration to make her may have come from her being my favourite infected) I may have sacrificed some balancing for accuracy to her appearance in L4D. Those of you who have played it may understand. Enough boring trivia!Here she is: Text: "If there are no monsters on your side of the field you can special summon this card. This card can only be summoned in defense mode and cannot change it's battle position. If this card is selected as an attack target it is switched to attack mode. If this card destroys an opponents monster by battle it is returned to the owner's hand." I'll be uploading some more soon. I hope you like the card. Well it's a moderately powerful level 5 monster for starters,It can be easy to get out,And It could be used with 're-directing' cards such as:Dark Dust Spirit, Staunch Defender etc. I really just created her in a form of tribute, but now that i've had time to think about it; she's now part of a family I've titled "Infected" which is based on stalling and damaging slowly over time.The Witch is used as a form of defense and when used with the right cards (some listed above) can protect the weaker but more useful cards of the family. This one, is, rather useless, because if it happens to be attacked, it goes back to the hand anyway, and with 2100 ATK points, it only reinforces my statement. Stop Defense I can see being used with a combo, but it still goes back to the hand. And if they have multiple monsters, sad to say you'd be screwed, especially if they have over 2100 ATK. The 1000 Points of Defense are rather useless as well, but hey, had to add some. EDIT: Aww, Dangit, I just realized after finally deciding to make an account, all of my cards are saved to my computer. While it's a bit underpowered, it's pretty true to the source material, which is impressive in it's own right.I'm looking forward to more of your work. People are mean, to. I posted something that clearly wasn't affecting any rules and they just hit the button for the fun of it. Also, towards Mini-Vinny. The card is good and all, but tell you the truth, the effect could be better. Effect Fix: "If there are no monsters on your side of the field you can Special Summon this card. This card can only be Normal Summoned in face-up defense position and cannot change its position. If this card is selected as an attack target it is switched to attack mode. If this card destroys an opponents monster by battle it is returned to the owner's hand." Their, I believe that is all. I also think you should make it a six star. But great job for your first card. 7/10 if you keep it the way it is. 8.5/10 if you change the OCG-Official Card Grammar. Oh, and you are welcome about the preview thing. Oh, and you are welcome about the preview thing.[/quote'] Thanks again for the help.I've corrected the text now, so it should seem some what more official.I've re-uploaded the image on my original post but I'll put it in this reply as well, for convinience I guess..I'd also just like to thank everyone for your opinions and feedback.Try not to expect too much from every card that is made though, because we all know there are going to be cards in the game that have more easily recognizable talents than others.(That, and those cards that are just about useless..)
