Flame Dragon
So I found $40 and am going to get the other starter decks, and make my Red/White better. I'm also going to make a Green/Blue deck. FYI, those seem to be the cards I like most.

Green is good for swarming and sheer power - as well as lots of mana generation. If you're gonna dabble into blue, make sure to have some counterspells. 'Spell Pierce' (from Zendikar) is a good one to use - as it counters noncreature spells unless they pay 2 mana. It only costs you 1 blue, so that's a plus. Of course, the standard 'Counterspell' is pretty much required for blue.

Yea, that is the biggest selling point of green for me. I'll take your word on blue since, again, I'm still new to this.

If there's a cardshop in your area, they might sell individual singles. That might be your best bet to get some. That was the selling point of green for me also. It was the color I started with. I'm still learning about blue myself. Blue involves a LOT of control and draw power. The counterspells make sure your opponent can't do anything. They also have a good bit of flying creatures - which green lacks (although green creatures do have reach).
AlucardTheOld
I would suggest adding Coiling OracleMystic SnakeSimic Sky Swallower.
Saturn of Elemia
Countersquall is a fun one to consider also. It counters a noncreature spell AND does 2 damage to your opponent.
AlucardTheOld
I want to make a Red, Green, Blue deck. I just found a card called Research // Development.
Saturn of Elemia
The split cards are always fun. Development is freaking BRUTAL - I think a buddy of mine might wanna put it in his Elemental speed deck. Not so sure about Research. (I'll give you a rep if you can tell me which guilds are portrayed in that card)
AlucardTheOld
What do you mean by guilds?
Saturn of Elemia
What do you mean by guilds? Oh, sorry. In the Ravnica block (which consisted of Ravnica: City of Guilds, Guildpact, and Dissension), there are 10 guilds that are represented by dual colors. For example, blue and black is known as House Dimir.
AlucardTheOld
Oh it is Simic and Izzet, right?
Saturn of Elemia
That would be correct, sir! If you want a bonus rep, can you list the other guilds? (Having fun?)
Flame Dragon
Finished my Green Blue and White Red decks. Also got me a Jace, the Mind Sculptor. That made me happy.

Flame Dragon
Ahhh.... I want one. I can understand why. After a few turns you can remove your opponent's whole deck and hand. Really, the fact that I got him made me go
Saturn of Elemia
Jace the Mind Sculpter is worth a LOT of money. I'd hang on to that thing for dear life. He's also the only Planeswalker to date with FOUR abilities.
AlucardTheOld
Yep he's worth like $60! Edit: Flame Dragon can I change the name of this thread from Unofficial to Official.
Saturn of Elemia
I pulled a Gideon Jura from a 'Rise of the Eldrazi' pack the other day - and he's like 40 bucks. I like how he can turn himself into a 6/6 creature that doesn't take any damage. Finally, a planeswalker that can fight.
Flame Dragon
Yep he's worth like $60! Edit: Flame Dragon can I change the name of this thread from Unofficial to Official.Yea, you can. I have a question about Raging Ravine. It turns it's self into a monster for a turn, but goes back to being a land at the end of the turn. What's the point if it gets summoning sickness? MarbleZone
I don't think it does. You don't summon it, it becomes a creature. The way I see it, it's already in play so it goes around summoning sickness, the same holding true for any manland. Haven't checked the rules, I'm answering on intuition. On a side note, Eldrazi Ramp rarely works but is so much fun to play.

I checked the wiki and it said that since it was on the field for the turn it doesn't get summoning sickness. If I used the effect the turn it was played then it would have it. Saturn of Elemia
I'd like to get some feedback (or advice) on a deck I've been working on for a while. It's essentially a blue/black mill deck. CREATURES (16) 4x Hedron Crab4x Halimar Excavator4x Jwari Shapeshifter4x Umara Raptor INSTANT/SORCERY (24) 4x Tome Scour4x Spell Pierce4x Memory Sluice4x Mind Funeral4x Counterspell4x Glimpse the Unthinkable LAND (20) 4x Watery Grave4x Drowned Catacomb2x Halimar Depths2x Jwar Island Refuge8x Island Right now, I have an idea to take out the Umara Raptor for Agadeem Occultists - so I can take things out of their graveyard to add to my limited defenses. Also, I'm considering putting in Leyline of the Void in there to counteract the new Eldrazi monsters that shuffle the graveyard back into the library (and to make sure my opponent cannot recycle their resources). Whatcha think?
