-DOOM
Griffin said he wanted to work on this project properly when the exam season is over. In about 4 weeks i think.
-Griffin
Indeed, then people won't have commitments and we can get off to a better start.
seattleite
We're using original TCG cards? That's new. Are you sure this is such a good idea (if meta decks still decide to dominate our game as well) ?We could instead: *Take some TCG cards which we like and are good for the game' date=' but leave most of them, including most powerful themed Decks. This will help new people joining to know some cards and put some old staples/ect into their Deck and get started. *Start with full TCG cards so we have a lot to play with at first, but slowly remove packs in a MTG-style format where old cards become unusable until it's all custom. This also means we never have a too-small card pool.[/quote'] I would like somewhere in the middle. Start with our staples, but at one point in the game when we have enough cards I would like to go entirely custom. And not have old cards become unusable because that would make cards very OP'd. For your list, you should add Bad Reaction to Simochi. And the only one i have a problem with is Light and Darkness Dragon. I hate that card. OP cards are everything but unusable. And it all relys on us if a TCG card gets broken since we will make all the further cards.Anyways, I would like to keep all the TCG cards. Let's see how the others think about your point. For your list, you should add Bad Reaction to Simochi. And the only one i have a problem with is Light and Darkness Dragon. I hate that card. Adding Simochi looks like a good idea to me. Not sure about LaDD.
Chaos Flame
I would love to join seeing how I've been a part of several of your CCG's before. I will try my hardest to make sure this one actually works.

Advancing the game to the point that a card like torrential tribute becomes "unusuable" is a scary thought. If im wrong please explain, I don't know anything about MTG. -Griffin
Welcome aboard Leo&Flame Of course, balance will be an important part. Cards should be roughly balanced for TCG/OCG play - about the level of a decent Ice Barrier Deck or something.

Chaos Flame
Glad to be part of this. The main problem I may have is that YVD has been acting up recently, somehting about my nickname, and I can only duel on Friday and Saturday.
-DOOM
Cards should be balanced for TCG/OCG play - about the level of a decent Ice Barrier Deck. What is the Level of an Ice Barrier Deck? =O (Compared with a common TCG Deck?) Lower Tier 2, with the use of "Triangular Formation of the Ice Barrier" and "Moray of Greed". Still some inconsistencies but it's good.

Ice Barrier are probably about the level of a decent non-Gigavis Gemini build or something, it can be hard to pin things down to an exact level. -DOOM
K thanks for telling me. But i was thinking: Does it matter which level the custom cards compared with the TCG are? As long as everything in the CCG is well balanced it doesn't matter IMO. *stop having stupid thoughts already, HP* Oh and thank you too Icy. I didn't saw your post before. -Griffin
In the end, they can have a larger range of balance. But since we're dueling a lot, if the first 5 themes aren't balanced together and 2 dominate, the game is a lot less fun.

I also think we shouldn't try to "make" something Tier 1 like Konami is trying to do with Koa'ki Meiru and X-Sabers.

True, I just remembered this was YVD and we can't make Xaber expensive stuff because it is free. It is valid.
byak
I'll join, I guess.YVD doesn't work on my netbook because the screen is so small, but I have a computer in the basement that I can use. Also, my opinion on use of TCG/OCG cards, maybe we could release 10 of them to go along with the 20 cards of each set? Maybe?

Maybe you could start with some Duel Terminal or low tier archetypes and unlimited staples instead, I suppose. I dunno. Not a bad idea.
