Tronta
really guys? blah. so i like the treeborn + fishborg engine here. it basically says discard one card, summon one monster, get brionac. every turn. aside from that, blah. its just not as fast as it could be. MrCodyPwns
Neg the 2 Aegis, because the only targets for it probably won't be on the field long enough for them to be destroyed. Maybe add in a Mirror, and Torrential? -2 Aegis+1 Mirror+1 Torrentialbut these are just opinions, and overall, i like the deck. And it makes me want to run a deck around Codarus now. He is such a beast.
Tronta
every card is a target for aegis son, you forget what alo does.
bentleyeugene92
Aegis is pretty killer. No staples? Mirror and Solemn always help. Always. Mind control could be an option since you synchro (o btw can you show your extra deck) I'd rethink gorz. Tragodia alone does better because by the time gorz comes out in this deck, its already too late Skreech and Aqua Spirit could be cut. They may work with fishborg but I think there are better options like Abyss Soldier, Amphibious Bugroth MK-3, Armed Sea Hunter and Nightmare penguin. Optional:Consider level limit because it was so awesome back in the days with ALO and still probably works in these decks. Mobius is great as ever with ALO. Superancient Deepsea King can be used for synchro ing large monsters. It could bring 3 fishborgs giving you flexibility with your synchro. Being a 2 tributer and fish being a crappy type may make it hard to incorporate
Tronta
/cracks knucklesi love these posts that mix good and bad advice. -mirror and solemn are pseudo staples in this era, and i have no room for them.-mind control /would/ be nice, but fishborg can only synch with waters. unlikely to happen.-i might just knock gorz, youre right on that.-aqua spirit is a beast. free 16-18 beater with a blizzard dragon effect that /is/ useful sometimes.-skreech works great with fishborg, but youve forgotten the other useful targets. like treeborn. but aside from targets, skreech provides food for aqua spirit, salvage (who, in turn, provides food for moray), and makes for some sweet plays.-i like abyss soldier in theory. but i feel like his -1's might hurt me. i might be wrong though. i could try running one or two. what to drop?-bugroth is so... meh.-i'm iffy on armed guy. i feel like a lot of your suggestions are more standalone, but dont support each other inherently, or at least not in a worthwhile way. why am i blowing up my other monsters to protect this guy? he's not that special.-nightmare penguin is silly.-i dont know why mobius would be good with alo. because theyre both... water?-level limit was sweet back in the days where every other card didnt blow up st's. furthermore, i dont intend to have alo on the field amazingly long. its really just ammo for codalos and lets me protect my guys with aegis.-coelacanth needs his own deck. and you dont run fishborg in coelacanth, you run royal swamp eel. edit:anyone have any idea how i would go about using like, a diva engine? MrCodyPwns
every card is a target for aegis son' date=' you forget what alo does.[/quote'] I feel so smart right now. I forgot ALO decreased water monster's level by 1 while on the field, I thought it's effect only applied to the hand :S How are the Wabokus working for you? Tronta
aoi is mediocre. i'm not sacrificing my precious field advantage for hand advantage. unless i'm doing it with treeborn. which is actually hilarious now that i think about it.but its still a -2, even if treeborn comes back. although i do get to look at their hand... is -2 worth a hand peek, if the frog comes back next turn? maybe. it might be a tech option. waboku is alright, i havent tested it nearly enough. played maybe 10 duels. yugiohnetwork matches take forever. and dont worry about the aegis thing. we all make mistakes :P thoughts on diva, anyone?
MrCodyPwns
Divas would be pretty nice in here, it would open up a lot more synchro plays, but the only problem is, finding room for them in the deck. I don't know what to neg :/
Coffee Black
i thought you would love the chance to funk with the opponents hand. I know it's somewhat costly, but far from mediocre. Plus, since it's chainable, use it before your monsters get destroyed. You should at least try it. It's great tech

bentleyeugene92
"Deep Sea Diva Swarm: If you want to increase the attack of your monsters easily, or just want to get a low level monster with a good amount of attack points, use Deep Sea Diva to special summon a level 3 or lower sea serpent type monster out on the field. The two key cards are Mermaid Archer which you can equip Deep Sea Diva to to raise it's attack, or you can special summon Spined Gillman which raises the attack of all: Sea serpent, aqua, and fish types you control by 400 points. It is also a good idea to have Star Boy which also raises the attack of all water monsters on the field and lower any fire monsters. This strategy works well if you have Double Summon so you can lay out more Deep sea Divas and swarm you opponent with low leveled, high attack point monsters. This can work well with Gravity Bind or Level Limit - Area B to keep your opponents monsters grounded while you increase your attack and avoid the stall effects. If you run low level synchro cards, Deep Sea Diva is a tuner that that can easily help you get what you need." Quoted straight from the wikia. ATM, I don't think Diva is a good option since starboy is part of it lol. And seriously the only usable cards you can search out are Mermaid archer, Spined gillman and itself (out of the six cards it can search out). but then again, spined gillman helps this deck a lot. Spined gillman would even make Aqua Spirit's stats respectable (you mentioned Blizzard Dragon, which is not a bad idea in place of Aqua Spirit if you don't run Diva) I would neg trooper, ryko and hydrogeddon to max gillman and diva. (hydro doesn't have that great of an attack (or effect imo). i find ryko doesn't work well outside light/dark builds. on second thoughts, trooper is pretty cool). Now Mind control is finally useful On second thoughts, you're right, Skreech is actually quite a good add and, now that I think about it, I might even neg something for one more. (perhaps a treeborn frog, 3 Skreechs make it easier for one frog to get into the grave) (I used read pojo's cotds (actually, I still do) and saw skreech's review and they bombarded it. Guess i was biased. Anyway, now I take their reviews with a pinch, no, a tablespoon, of salt.) Hydrogeddon could swarm but its attack is so meh. I'm iffy 'bout it(what are you gonna do with them? fog king?) Shark Cruiser is a pretty cool card. Free summon with ALO. gives you a free synchro essentially when destroyed. (5 stars sucks pretty hard though) (Oh, I said penguin and mobius because I played world championship and they had a 29 hundred mobius which really screwed me over with a huge bugroth. and i said the armed guy because he's the strongest (in terms of atk) lv 4 water for your borg) (but then again, I just started really playing yu gi oh at that time and he had 2 or three penguins. plus penguins could bounce Stardust)
Coffee Black
1800 with ALO is ok for Hydrogeddon. I personally don't think it's necessary, but whatever.
Tronta
i'm actually cutting skreech down to 1, i think. i never use it more than once in a duel. something i like about hydro is the swarm with 1800 with alo. and the deck thinning. and the fact that it makes synchroing so much easier with more levels. i kinda like shark cruiser. i might try it. it would help make level 8's fo sho. Tronta
bumpd to front. edits:-shark helps big time.-a solemn and a starlight-i love hydros. theyre beast here. i feel like i'm just a bit below the high tier decks like sabers and infernities, as i've been going pretty close with em. though they were played primarily by janks. i need something more here, though. its a lil dead drawy from time to time, and its not quite what i'd like to see.it might help to get the ice boundary synchros, for stepping stone and general summoning usage.
