Hello YCMers. Thanks to Opal's brilliant idea in the PAPOTRY-thread' date=' I decided to create this thread. Its purpose is to get to know some of the members surrounding and interacting with you online.

I'd ask that everyone be careful of the images they post, sometimes, if you categorized it as such, the picture you post might have personal information on it in the image properties.

 

Be careful of images you post whose properties may contain your first and last name, or the location of where you took the picture at.

This. Please be careful so you don't spit out too much information.

 

Also, posting things like "Look in the PAPOTRY thread." or "I posted mine already." really aren't appropriate, since this census should still be valid in 3 years. And you can't want somebody to dig around in ancient threads just to find a pic. So at least give the link or say you won't post a pic at all.

I think it's safer to give out your first name only so that nobody can figure your last and track you down. Try to take a photo that gives an ambiguous location of where you live. And pray that stalkers don't pass by this site.

I hate stalkers. And I have only given out my last name to people I REALLY trust here.
