Better to be like Edward or not?

To the guys

just a basic question to most male members. Would you try to learn things that Edward Cullen knows? For example, ability to play the piano, good singing voice, great dancer, protective, smart, caring, and all that other crap. the question is not asking you would you change yourself. It is asking, would you learn these things.

If not, then why?

I do have some of these qualities but I'm a pacifist therefore unprotective.

To the girls

Would you date a guy for having these qualities? If not, then explain why you wouldn't.

I have a great singing voice, and I am protective, smart, caring, etc. I have a great ability for learning, so I can easily sing like a star, dance, play musical instruments, ect if I put some effort on that. I am protective, and I would like a miss on disgrace to fall in love with me after saving her from danger (yep, I said that). I don't feel like comparing myself with Edward, because I dislike everything Twilight related, just because of all the fangirlism around.

No.

Simply because

I care nothing about playing the piano or singing or dances.

I already have an overprotective boyfriend who stalks me everywhere I go and I'm perfectly happy with him. And no I wouldn't wish him like Edward Cullen.

I'll ignore the complete bullshit about Twilight and a fake-ass vampire from said series, and actually look at the topic at hand. Because I could've flamed the TC so hard about making a Twilight/Edward thread, but I'd rather not at the moment.

I am already musically inclined, I can sing, I am relatively smart, but none of the other qualities. Honestly, if a girl wants me to be like a fictional character, I'd dump her on the spot, no questions asked. <_<

Depends on the intentions. If they're doing it because they want a good person, that's fine, but piano is pushing it, and I'm not sure about my singing talent. I think I can sing, but I'm not sure.

If they're doing it because Edward does it, hell no. The author of Twilight intended Edward to be the perfect BF, and I am not perfect. If someone expects me to be the perfect pretty boy of their dreams, then no. I will be kind, caring and protective, and I will be morally straight, but I will not be expected to be perfect. Or sparkly.

-I play guitar. Guitar=radder than piano=more rocker chicks. rocker chicks > whiny emo chicks (like Bella or whatever her name is)

-I sing in a band

-I don't need to dance, I'm in a band

-I'm already protective of my girlfriend, and I don't smother her (like he does)

-I'm already smart enough to have earned a few scholarships...

-I care about things that are worth caring about. I don't need to be a pansy.

So I don't sparkle. Sue me.
