BehindTheMask
Now that The Shining Darkness has been released, do you think this format will change a lot? Will X-Sabers become a top tier deck? Will Infernitys break out on the scene? A lot of people have speculated that this format will become more fast paced with the release of The Shining Darkness. I think that this format will see a definite increase in speed. Monarch decks will slowly fall off from playability (again lol). The power of these decks will fall, because they will not be able to keep up with the speedier part of the format. Quickdraw Synchro will have to find ways to integrate strategies in order to keep up with Sabers and Infernitys. Cards like Kycoo will become important to them, as D.D. Crow has been seeing rising play in the side and Main. While people are playing this mainly for the Infernity Match, D.D. Crow can also be used against every other deck this format. D.D. Crow is really great this format, because it hits every deck pretty good format. It stops the shenanigans of Infernity OTKs, Ragigura/Faultroll loops for X-Sabers, RFG's Vayu/Vayu Targets for Vayu. Kills Pot of Avarice, which hits Quickdraw and Cat hard. Can stop Dandy recycling as well. Doesn't kill Rekindling, but hampers the play slighty. Blackwings will see a slight decrease in play, but they deck gains 2 important cards for this format. Cards for Black Feathers is probably one of the underlooked cards that a Blackwing Player can utilize. Removing from game a Blackwing monster isn't that big of a deal, and is actually beneficial for Post TSHD Blackwings. Breeze is straight up amazing. With cards like Sangan, Black Whirlwind, Allure of Darkness, and Cards for Black Feathers, it will see some play, and boost the deck even more. I will think that Post TSHD blackwings should play Return from the Different Dimension. With stuff like Vayu, Cards for Black Feathers main decked in your deck, along with your opponent's Bottomless Trap Hole, Dimensional Prison, and Caius, Blackwings have another OTK card at their disposal. Gladiator Beasts will probably stay about the same. They didn't gain anything from the set, however they still remain a consistent deck that has outs. War Chariot will prove an even greater card this format. This card can hit every deck hard, as Infernitys, Sabers and Quickdraw have trouble handling this card. Gyzarus becomes a liability, with the rise of Starlight Road, however, smart players will be able to read it. Infernitys will obviously see a huge increase in playabilty. They gained their support cards, and with Infernity Barrier, Infernity Mirage, Mist Wurm, etc, they will be a very viable deck, that can create problems for new comers, or people who haven't seen how the deck works. X-Sabers will see a spike in play. With cards like Palomuro, Pashuul, Boggart Knight and Dark Soul, the X-Saber deck will have new tricks to play with. Boggart Knight brings a respectable 1900 attack, with swarming capabilities for the deck. Makes Faultroll a live card easier, and then helps with the loop. Palomuro is a level 1 tuner, that can revive itself, which helps Sabers hit lower leves, as well as keep presence for cards like Saber Hole and Saber Slash. Pashuul keeps himself around, and yet again, this is useful for Hole and Slash. Dark Soul is probably the most important card in the set, as it's a Rescue Cat-able Sangan, EARTH. Just plain crazy. What does YCM think?
BulletMan
XX-Saber Darksoul is EARTH (I know. I have one : D ) Breeze? It's being considered good? I thought it was meh. You should've also mentioned that of gadgets and maybe even plants with that Spore card and such. Infernities will be good. Same with X-Sabers. Breeze is really good, gotta look at it in terms of what it provides too. I'll edit in gadgets tomorrow, but I don't think Spore will help plants that much. Magical Explosion format. ... The Sacred Ninja
Infernities will be good now, but after a while, they'll die off. They can easily OTK, but it is just too easy to ruin!

BehindTheMask
The problem with Combo Decks/ FTK's is that eventually in larger tournaments with more rounds of Swiss, your deck will draw bad.
Shinzuku
I officially hate Sabers Rescue Cat - Dark Soul and Airbellum - Synchro for Hynulei- - Set Gottoms E-Call - Search Faultroll - End.next turn - Draw - Use E-Call - Summon DS and Bellum - Special Faultroll - Synch for Gottoms - tribute DS for Gottoms effect - Search Faultroll at End Phase and then he did some other stuff. I got this pulled on me today, he just kept searching. Too bad Opression is the rightous ENEMY MWHAHAHAHAH

-Griffin
The problem I have with Xabers is that they feel so easy to side against. Siding Gatmuz' E-Call against them gives you a +1 that is probably more in practice because you can take things they just targeted with Faultroll/their own Gatmuz/ect. DARKPLANT RISING
Infernities will dominate the world, which is pretty surprising as that makes 2 players out of 4 in the Team Satisfaction players with good archetypes. Leaving out the pointy haired guy and australian blondhair.

Demise OTK has won jumps and so did Rescue Cat DSF OTK... Except Demise OTK also had so many ways of pushing for damage outside of their OTK that they could still win. Rescue Cat DSF went into Arcanite Magician more often than DSF, unless they were going to OTK, and won games because of it.
