Glorious Apocalypse [PG - 13 / ADVANCED / ACCEPTING / STARTED] OOC

Recommended Posts
Beyond the skies, beyond the heavens, beyond space and time, lie Four Horsemen; the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

Death, bringer of ruin and chaos. He is able to turn everything he touches to ashes. He leads the Four Horsemen.

Pestilence, bringer of evil and all things corrupt. His white horse is as beautiful as it is deadly. He backs Death as the second most powerful of the Four Horsemen.

War, bringer of destruction and rage. His red horse burns everything it comes across, and is most fatal when angered. He is the third most powerful of Horsemen.

Famine, bringer of plague and disease. None can come close to him, lest their breath be filled with the sound of maggots. He is the least powerful of the Horsemen.

These four beings have banded together in an effort to bring the Greek gods to their knees. Slowly they have devoured the famous cities of Athens, Olympia, and Sparta, but to no avail. The gods remain at the top of their thrones while the Horsemen erase what remains of the lands around them. Citizens of great places around the world suffer for no reason at the hands of these Horsemen, and the useless gods. But for no longer.

Awoken from their slumber, the Eight Golem Kings--bound to the Shadows for eternity--have gathered the last of their magic and spread it to eight individuals they deem worthy to end this madness. These eight have gathered under Rome, three hundred thousand feet under Rome to be precise. But even the power of the Golems has left them in the dark.

They search now for the key to conquering a god, and the ability to kill Death. And yet, there remains several other obstacles, bound to the will of the Horsemen to do their bidding.

Character's First and Last Name: Peter Vox

Character's Height and Weight: 6' 2", 260 lbs (by muscle mass)

Character's Special Abilities: Superhuman Strength, Extreme Endurance, Enhanced Weapon Mastery.

Character's Two Weapons of Choice:

A large, silver blade that is a head and a neck shorter than Peter, and is shaped like an arrow. The thinner part of the blade is about 8" wide, and the wides area is about 14" wide. The blade is quite thick, and is mostly used for crushing, and the edge is used for putting a little more edge on the hit, so it could cut through things like metal, things that are harder to smash.

Character's Description (No less than one paragraph):

Peter has shaggy, long brown hair that goes to about half way down his neck, but doesn't get in his eyes. His eyes are a strange blue color. He is quite muscular, and looks very much like a barbaric man. He wears ripped, brown pants down to his ankles, with holes everywhere. He wears black shoes, and no shirt. He has a black cloak, for sheer warmth purposes, and is quite warm. He also wears two silver bracelets on his right and left wrists, and a silver necklace, each representing a friend that he used to know. On his right arm and hand, he has a dark glove on his right hand, and a metal shoulderguard, that goes down to half way down his bicep.
Peter was born and raised in Sparta, a city of brave warriors. His friends were all older than him, and they all gave him a small trinket to remember them by. He was given the bracelet he wears on his right wrist to his friend Thomas, who taught him to be disciplined and tough. The one on his left wrist was given to him by Gerald, who always taught him to be a little relaxed and laid back. He was given his necklace by his mother, who always taught him to remember that his burning heart was his greatest source of strength than any of his muscles.

He always enjoyed athletics and getting stronger. He never quite knew what he wanted to be, but that's where his friends and mother came in. They all taught him different values and traits, spending the most time with them, and eventually he turned out to be the way he is. Tough, disciplined, a little relaxed, and couragous. He decided to go camping by himself through the mountains when he was 19, and when he came back, his friends, and all of Sparta was leveled by the horsemen. Not destroyed, but completely leveled. He came to Rome, a place he has always wanted to go, but with the loss of his closest allies, it was bitter sweet.
Character's First and Last Name: Jason Verus

Character's Height and Weight: 6'3", 154 lbs

Character's Special Abilities: Elemental Magic (Fire), Superhuman Strength, Enhanced Weapon Mastery (Sword)
Character's Two Weapons of Choice:]
Varia is almost a legendary sword. It is crafted from metal that came from a meteorite, and its hilt is of the finest leather. Varia's blade is exactly two feet and six inches long, and the hilt is exactly six inches long. The blade is a complicated affair. For the first five inches of the blade, small, even, spikes protrude, giving it a deadly chop ability. The next two feet of blade are straight, and narrow at a rate of one inch for every six inches in length. The last five inches of the blade are the most deadly. The tip is drastically narrowed, creating for a deadly point. Runes of an ancient language adorn the blade, spelling out its name to any who can read it. The cross guard is pure silver, and is always shining. Round spheres sit on the end of each side of the cross guard, giving it perfect balance. At the end of the hilt, a sapphire sits as the pommel stone, held in what looks like a dragon's claws, which are made of pure silver.
Gragen is much more simple than Varia, being a simple rapier-like sword. It measures at an even two feet long in blade-length, minus the curve of the blade. Along its blade are Roman runes that spell out the sword's name. The hilt measures four and a half inches long, and is made of a rough, sturdy material of unknown origin. A simple round cross guard protects the wielder's hand, and no pommel adorns the end of the hilt. Instead, there is a small cube of pure diamond hanging off of a steel chain attached to the end of the hilt.
Character's Description:] Jason is tall and gangly, thin but quick. He has dark brown, curly, hair that falls down to slightly lower than his chin. He has thick eyebrows set above a pair of piercing green eyes. His face is narrow, like his body. He has high cheekbones and a straight, pointed chin. His nose is narrow, though not long, and his mouth wears an almost permanent smile. Jason wears once-extravagant, now faded, red leggings that wrap around his ankles, and a faded dark blue tunic that shows off his chest, with wrappings around his wrists. He wears a steel cross, with a diamond embedded in the center, hanging around his neck by a steel chain. He wears a pair of uncharacteristic leather gloves, and always wears a dark green cloak, emblazoned with his family crest. On his left hip, he wears Varia, in a simple black scabbard. On his right side, he wears Gragen, in a simple emerald scabbard.
Character's Bio:] Jason grew up the son of a wealthy family in Rome. He always had servants, and he always got whatever he wanted. Usually, what he wanted was lessons in weapon handling. He would spend hours on end with a personal trainer, sparring and practicing and training. When he was not learning about weapons, he was studying, learning anything he could about the world. And, when he was neither studying nor learning weaponry, he was out among the people, making friends and learning about their world.

Then one day, a great fire impacted Rome. Many families were killed, including Jason's, who was just barely able to escape. He spent three days mourning the loss of his family and his friends. When he had recovered, he gathered what possessions of his remained, and ventured off into the world, hoping to help people with whatever problems they had. After six years of travel, Jason returned to Rome, to find it completely destroyed.
Character's Height and Weight: 5'8" 119 pounds.

Character's Special Abilities: Full Body Manipulation, Extreme Endurance, Invisibility

Character's Two Weapons of Choice: A sleek, black whip made for battle and painful practice. The aforementioned whip has several sharp, little, thorn-like spikes protruding from it, for maximum pain. It is not a lethal weapon, but can be used effectively nevertheless.

A small, portable dagger that is able to slide into Kari's pocket. This blade is three inches long, enough to pierce the heart from the outside skin. Made for stealthy practices and swift, strategic kills.

Character's Description: Kari is slender, with pale white skin and cold, deep, blue eyes. Her dark brown hair is kept straight and drops down her back freely. She wears a tight, black shirt underneath a deep-blue jacket, which she keeps unbuttoned all the time. Kari also wears a black cut-off dress which ends at her knees, accentuating pale, but toned legs. She dons small black boots, for warmth and safety. Encircling Kari's neck is a family heirloom, a silver medallion, given to her by her grandmother. She is very protective of it.

Character's Bio (No less than two paragraphs):

Kari Shidosama was born in a rural area located outside of Athens. There, parents taught her the rigors of farm life from a very young age, and Kari became strong, both mentally and physically as a result. Her parents, against Kari's will, pooled their money together to send Kari to a university in Athens. There, she gained insight into the many facets of human life and nature from many philosophical greats. Kari returned home after a year in Athens, excited to tell her parents about what she had learned.

However, she returned to a burning house and ruined wasteland. This part of Athens used to be a farming paradise, and now it was completely destroyed. Kari would search restlessly for her parents, eventually finding them both slain in the backyard. Told later that it was the Horsemen's doing, Kari immediately swore fierce revenge on them. She would adopt an extremely cold nature, aggressive towards those who seemed to support, or be indifferent to, the pillages of the Horsemen. Blessed with a sign from the Eight Golem Kings, Kari returns to Athens to fight for rage-driven revenge.

Accepted. <3

And finally, so that we may begin, my application:

Character's First and Last Name: Eldenth Ina'it

Character's Height and Weight: Six feet, two inches, 245 lbs (muscle weight)

Character's Special Abilities: Superhuman Inertia, Extreme Endurance, Enhanced Weapon Mastery

Character's Two Weapons of Choice: Weighing at approximately 34lbs, covered in more than three dozen layers of two inch poison tipped spikes, and with a base length of four feet from tail to head, the Scorpion Mace is Eldenth's primary weapon of choice. In itself, the body of the mace can stretch to be no longer than 12 feet. This was an original design from Eldenth's own works, creating one the most vicious long distance, heavy weapons of it's time. The mace head is of course rounded, extremely large, about one foot around. It's body is made of a special folding metal, covered in a draconic crystal found only in the mountains of Olympia. The tail is made of dragonhide and leather, in a crossed pattern. What is deadliest about the weapon is not i's head, but it's impact. Because of the rate at which Eldenth can swing the mace, it creates a sonic boom on strike.

Last but not least, Eldenth carries a staff. It's quite simple really, it's plain, made of wood, with no engravings, discolorations or anything like that. The inside of the staff is hollow, and be can opened from it's center. The Golems told Eldenth he was only permitted once to open his staff, and that he would someday need it. It is not known what lies inside the eight foot long, wooden staff, but sometimes, when it grows dark, the staff hums loudly.

Character's Description: Eldenth is muscular, a trained fighter from birth. His chin is sharp, and where his cheek bones meet, his hair length is even. His hair is jet black, and his eyes are deep, almost royal purple. He wears a light black, sleeveless, garb made of a Chimera's fur and horns. It's somewhat scaly, but offers decent protection for light armour. His legs are protected by an equivalent of his top garb, but cut at his ankles and knees.

Character's Bio: Eldenth was born in the mountains of Olympia. His parents, Myrtle and Hyulgar were the best you could ask for. They fed him, kept him warm, and were able to spoil him with all his wants as a child. But it was all at the cost of Eldenth's life. At age 18, the god of the seas and oceans, Poseidon, came to take him away. It was told to Eldenth that his parents themselves could not provide for him, so they made a deal Poseidon.

So long as he was kept in good health, and happy, Poseidon could beckon for the boy whenever he so deemed it. The time had come, and Eldenth was taken from his parents for more than ten years. On his private island, shrouded in mist from all others, Poseidon raised Eldenth to be the warrior he is today. From blacksmithing for the designing and control of weapons, to partial body manipulation (thus, Superhuman Inertia), Poseidon felt he had found a warrior he could fully control.

He had gained Eldenth's trust, and so he sent the boy to conquer and claim many lands in Poseidon's own name. Later, Eldenth was told to return to Olympia. Poseidon had a "special" task in mind for him. Eldenth could only agree, and returned to his home. When he arrived, his parents were on their knees in shackles, aimlessly glaring at the stone ground beneath them. Poseidon told Eldenth, "It is time to cut your ties to human emotion, and become a god." But Eldenth would her no word of this.

Out of rage and hatred he turned his back on Poseidon, and attempted to attack him. In retaliation, Poseidon killed Eldenth's parents, and wiped out most of Olympia. Eldenth refused to look back, and so he escaped to Rome, where he came across three other warriors:

Kari Shidosama, Jason Verus, and Peter Vox. Like him, they too were granted some sort of special gift. Whether they were born with it, or given this gift, Eldenth could sense it. What he could not sense however, was Poseidon's call. It was Poseidon's assignment to recruit one strong enough to fight alongside the gods, in battle with the Horsemen, but they remain a god short. And now in his dreams he sees a pale white horse breathing destruction over the entire world.

It his goal, to bring the gods, and the Horsemen to their knees.

We'll officially begin tomorrow at 12 noon CENTRAL.

I figure you guys should know now. In the plot, it mentions eight individuals given abilities from the Golems. Four of them are you guys, and of course myself.

The other four will be revealed as the rp progresses. When we begin, the time and place will be August 16, underground Rome, night. The days will skip, and when it reaches a certain day, the remaining four will be revealed. One of four will be revealed on a day, not all at once.

In case I am not able to to handle the four of them, (which, really, it shouldn't be a problem) I'll ask for one of you to co-host and aid me with NPCs. The rp begins in one hour.
